When the sheriff hangs up the phone in the diner and asks reacher, "Who the hell are you?" I always thought he should have responded, "Mr. Reacher, first name Jack, no middle name" just as the sheriff said as he was reading his ID and being a smart ass.
Wow I think Tom Cruise got this part solely because of his physical similarities to Reacher’s description in the books- hulking 6 ft 5 tall, 250-pound blond man, with hands the size of dinner plates. Spot on!

You are exactly right. This movie was incredibly enjoyable. Cruise is a great actor. He should have taken the same story and changed the name. You should really read the books, though. You will find that the characters size plays a pivotal role in every interaction and scenario in the story. Jesus, that elbow KILLS
He doesn't believe in jesus
I don't give a SH!T that Cruise doesn't fit the description of Reacher in the books...THE MOVIES WERE AWESOME and I LOVED THEM BOTH !!!!!! Yes , I also LOVE the Amazon Reacher series as well...I do NOT understand how people think they have to choose one or the other...STUPID !!!!
He does resemble the character.
The alternate universe applies for this is the way I see it.
It's scenes from Jack Reacher and Jack Reacher : Never Go Back
Both exceptional films
Tom absolutely plays Jack Reacher well.
Please...Compared to Allen, Cruise is a joke in this role! Its mean for someone way bigger.....
@@hotbello0071 Don't like the guy in the series at all. He fits the description but that's about all.
I thought okay he's not the build of the guy in the books but he IS one hell of an actor and played the role well regardless.
imo, he doesn't fit the reacher character BUT a transient thug who tries to fight for right once his back is against the wall? yeah, TC does that well. But Reacher's height is part of his character, and in the books he thinks he's not really hollywood attractive.
@@alertgasper LOL Well at least with the series they did get the not attractive thing right and the height. Just not the quality acting job. Just my opinion. I
".....its just gonna keep on ringin'... "😅😅😅
I really enjoyed both Jack Reacher movies. Andy had some pretty clever one-liners.
I am 6'2" and 235 lbs and I have no problem with someone of Tom Cruises giant stature playing this part.
single? 😉
Good for you Mary.
I am 5' 7" and 140 lbs.
But I'm tall for my height.
@@Philc2 some of my best friends are 5'7"

I'll tell you guys a great line and its from " Chuck Norris " he did a movie called "Invasion USA " and he told a guy in a hotel room that "If you come back in here, I'm gonna hit you with so many rights, you'll beg for a left " i almost died when he said that.
I remember that line in the movie. l loved the movie 🎬 and I love Chuck Norris.
Holy shit Werner Herzog? I think it's about time I saw this movie
"Remember...you wanted this"
"Thats a pretty impressive responce time fellas"
Great lines.
Never been a fan but now I want to see his movies.
You’ve got to be 💩ing me guy. This guy has starred in more blockbuster films than any three Hollywood actors combined. Say what you want about him but he is an impressive mofo. You’re going to be really busy
I know I could never be a henchmen, as soon as I see the first guy go down i'm like "nope! i'm out! have a good day Mr!"
“Who the hell are you”
“I’m the man standing on the box”
Cruise does an excellent job of playing Jack(in) Reach (around).🤣🤣🤣
I have to give a shout out to the city of Pittsburgh, always a great place to film a good movie, one of my favorite movies is the next 3 days Pittsburgh should have got an Oscar
Here in England, TV & movies can glorify violence, but over there in the US you guys seem to be on a higher level!
You can all say what you like but one thing makes Tom stand out amongst other actors he does all his own stunts, 10 no question
TC is a bit cray-cray,A great actor, but cray -cray, all the same.
@@roderickroberts9917 wow what an original comment
@@slayerhuh404 hey, come on ,anyone who is willing to get themselves nearly killed doing their own stunt work is, and you gotta admit it,isn't right in head.He can just get guys who are paid for cray-cray stunts like the stuff that he did for the mission impossible movies and others, doesn't prove that he was willing to give his fans realistic content that they simply could not done with CGI,THIS is the act of a man who is willing to at best, risk a stint a full body cast, or worse, a close casket funeral. If that doesn't qualify for cray-cray, then I don't know what does.

"Cray Cray" Has got to be one of ("If not the most") the stupidest things I have ever heard in my life, Without a doubt.
So it stands to reason that so many people who say it are total IDIOTS, in every sense of the word.
These people truly live up to their own dumbass term, "Cray-Cray.
They own it because they live it.
Bunch of damn morons.
When your charisma is 100, you can do damn near anything
One of my favorite TC movies
I enjoy watching Tom Cruise, he may not fit the profile in the books but a smaller person with the right skills can wipe the floor with bullies
Tom did a great job acting in the movies. Too bad he wasn’t taller. Alan Richson does a great reacher ,too.
If Robert McCall, Jack Reacher and Jason Bourne were on the same team
Tom was fantastic as Jack Reacher., I have this both of them and everything else he makes
I love Jack Reacher in the movies and in the books. I've read all Jack Reacher books, you just cant put the book down
Tom Cruise is $600 million tall.
Hahaha 🤣
And earned every penny! He's been doing most of his stunts for decades and has insane versatility
No..... Tom Cruise is short. He is only 5'5".
@@davidgriffin14 Weed is cranium numbing
He's an insane sociopathic scientologist
i know Tom was not the physical specimen that Lee scripted. But i do appreciate this brought me to the books.
He's like the Reacher of Munchkin Land.
No he's not.
@@scarygary-qq1pjoh yes he is 😂
Hey c'mon! Jack Reacher can't help being played by a Fudge Packer! It's out of his control!!
He was no joke😂😂😂😂Like it.
Tom's version of Jack reacher were very good I thought, enjoyable and relatable. Cheers.
Ya know, I don’t think I’ve noticed this before but a lot of the score and music give me huge Star Wars vibes.
HE PLAYED THE PART WELL AS IT SHOUKD BE EXCELLENT ACTOR.
This is one hell of a movie. Reacher the series as well ❤❤.
About time they brought Tom back no one does it better
Too busy tossing David miscavige's salad
Jack Reacher is my favorite of all the characters that Tom has playesd
Don't mess with him, He does The Impossible
Who needs an accurate depiction of the book when this movie is entirely badass.
I thought Tom played a convincing Reacher. He was resourceful and fast.
Tom is a AWESOME actor
Cruise did a good job but after reading the books I'm not sure he was the right one for this roll. Now, Mission Impossible...total badass
i LOVE THE SECOND SCENE. that id is a active duty idea, once retired we get a nice little blue on that never expires.
Jack Reacher turned a salt shaker into an assault shaker.
Did you think of that all by yourself....good boy.
Many people (including celebrities) don't like Tom Cruise, but he's a legit movie star and I dig his films.
@HLBear. If everyone likes you then you are most definitely doing something wrong.
Funny how a lot of these comments are towards Tom being a shorter guy playing this role, but it was okay for Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine?
I agree withbyou Tom Cruze should have played wolverine.
@@dr.science9505lol nice
Wolverines are small animals
Gotta admit. . . For not being the Reacher Lee Child wrote, Cruise is still damn impressive in the part.
Love love Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher.
