You do realise that inheritance tax is only paid after the death of the farmer? The inheritors (family) have 10 years to pay what is due, and tax is only payable if the value of the farm is greater than £3million. The total number of farms that could be liable for inheritance tax, is in the region of 450. There are more than 120,000 farms in the UK, which means that only 0.4% of farms are liable for any inheritance tax, after the farm owner dies. Just like the majority of the UK public, you're as thick as a brick, and don't know that the vast majority of farm land is actually owned by Investors, Corporations and Hedge funds, not by farmers.

Bizarre.
Why not leave the farmers alone? They supply us with food while making a pittance out of the supermarkets. Yes, they may be asset rich but cash poor too. Its not a glamorous or wealthy life, so all the jealous and vindictive comments are out of order
Sorry, but the inheritance tax won't actually have any effect on real farmers. The only people who will be affected, are the large land owners, who do not farm the land themselves, but who employ tenant farmers to work the land. Plus the idea of inheritance tax is in the name, no tax is paid until after the land owner dies, and only farms with a value in excess of £3million will incur any inheritance tax, and that tax can be paid over 10 years, interest free. It is important to note that the loudest voices opposed to the inheritance tax are the likes of Clarkson, who bought his farm in 2008 specifically to avoid paying inheritance tax, and Dyson, who does not actually operate any farms on the 1,000s of hectares of land that he owns, but rents out his land to tenant farmers.

Alex Burghart, perhaps he suffers from the Napoleon Syndrome. It would explain a lot.
You suffer from the same? Sorry to hear it!😊
If people wanted to listen to serious debate in Parliament, they would listen to 'Today in Parliament'. People don't want to listen to serious debate, so they watch the slapstick custard pie throwing nonsense of PMQ's. Then they complain that PMQ's is childish. Sorry, idiots, that's what you want and it is duly served up.
This is making me want to watch it

I was waiting on Alex's head expolding. Seriously he can't handle PMQ's with shouting and turning a weird shade of pink/red. No wonder people call people like him certain names. I've never realised it until now, but I did today.

The profit margin issue is related to supermarket profits or corporate greed. The Con--servatives, are diverting away from this to ensure they dont upset their corporate benefactors.
I think it does land that Rayner can talk about raising taxes to a new high
The Tories raised them to their highest - but had nothing to show for it.
Labour look like they’ll invest it and will have have better services in a few years..
I say pfff, taxes need to be higher for most people in the UK anyway. People can´t expect Scandinavian social services with Texan levels of taxation.
@Minimmalmythicist the point is, Rayner can still bring it up, despite Labour raising them - because it’s legitimate enough to say they needed to after Tory waste..
Amazing how all O'Briens audience had the day off work at the same time. His chubby red cheekys while he sneers and chortles like hes back at Ampleforth with his posh chums

PMQT .or Black hole Black hole Black hole etc etc etc
The Tories say they don't like what Labour are doing. But when challenged, they don't offer an alternative.
Since the Tories have no alternative, all they can do is criticise Labour for sorting out the mess.
Not sure how you point out that the tax increases aren't to buy sweets, but to repair the astonishing mess - including the black hole.
Wee Mr Shouty does a "Charlie". Empty vessels make most noise.
PMQs is only theatre, the actors need to learn their lines better.

James o brien how does this little man keep his job
why are people complaining about politicians not answering questions as if it's a new thing?
Perhaps because we want things to improve with "the adults in" and it doesn't seem to be the case

Interesting to hear the alternative/realistic take on PMQs in comparison with the reaction on 5Live. BBC giving shouty man a smoother ride, not surprisingly.
Inheritance tax on land will be passed down to the consumer at the supermarkets. So thanks labour theres something else we'll all be paying for....
@wolfen210959 farmers will take out life insurance policies against this tax which is a cost that will be passed on to consumers. The average farm size is 240 acre's at between 10k and 20k per acre + farm house and other assets most will be over the threshold 450 is an out right lie. I'm not taken in by Labour lies quite as easily as comprehensive school dim wits as yourself. Labour really did destroy your country's education system....
@@wolfen210959 Stop talking sense. The bigots aren't interested
@wolfen210959 we'll get life insurance policies to cover this and pass the cost on to consumers. We haven't got everything we have over generations through being thick. And you'll still have zilch to pass on 🏴

By the way, all those making negative vommrnts about the Shadow Chancellor are not bei g truthful, perhaps they are Labour Party faithfuls and voters.
In my own estimation, the Shadow Chancellor was much more powerful and forceful in his delivery, whilst Angela Rayner constantly avoided answering the questions.
Well said!

Oh, and a free pony for everyone!

Run by millionaires...I never understood why people voted Brexit in order to save them tax and now some want to do more of the same. Why would you vote to pay more tax to save someone wealthy some tax, it's weird. It's like voting for health insurance so the rich pay less tax or voting for more customs so imports cost more. Bizarre.
@@alana8863 ...and a unicorn. Don't forget the Brexit unicorns...
I thought Alex Burghart was brilliant. Anglela Rayner is not fit to be an MP.
The standard these days isn’t high for sure.
She's not fit period.
Why? Too common for you?
You are delusional! Of course it affects the smaller farmers ! A lot more than the likes of Clarkson that can cover inheritance tax in a heart beat. Farmers who have had their farms for generations and live the job they do are likely to suffer more then rich celebrities who own farms . Get a grip !
Your a bit late to be a tory mouthpiece Tash
You were clearly watching something else. Alex Burghart wiped the floor with Rayner and then brought her back across it to dry it off.
