You have brain. They just want to hear that Russia is humiliated regardless of what Ukraine will hit with the so called long range missile.
The good thing is that, the consequence of the this move will bring the war to and end. Putin has been acting saintly, but will hit hard if Ukraine hit sensitive sites in Russia. His retaliatory actions in Ukraine will force the world to negotiate for peace.

The thing that will change is supply lines. The missiles have caused Russia to already pull back aircraft and logistics further into Russia to prevent it being striked. Hence this will decrease the amount of supplies being supplied to Russian troops but the primary purpose is to slow them down and it would. They have to travel further to resupply. The idea of this is to actually try and give Ukraine more of a better position when it comes to peace negations as it's obvious that's how the war is going to end. It sort of makes sense, causes worry on russian people who are within that radius which will pressure Putin to make it easier to negotiate but again, also to slow the supply and morale of the Russian troops.

From where they currently are, the Ukrainians can already cover the Kursk region with different missiles, rockets and drones. Since the use of ATACMs is restricted to the same region, I cannot see how much difference they will make. Ukraine hasn't a lot of them either, and its war head is relatively small. They certainly do not make a difference in the Donbas, where the Russians have been advancing for months. A lot of hype in the media.

the better negotiating position they are in to get Russians to withdraw from Ukraine in exchange to get back Kursk. Any negotiations would have to
be from a basis of Russia giving up something to get something and not just rely on a Trump imposed peace deal where current front lines are frozen.

Russia uses Iranian cruise missiles with a 1350km range.

Ukraine is 1,316km wide. Russia can reach 100% of Ukraine

A lot of people are under the illusion that America have the greatest of all warfare weapons and are the saviour of the world... along with their Nato friends!
Russia is a country that has seen a LOT of casualties in their history, and have seen the West's tactics and dishonesty towards them , so I am sure over the passing years that they have been preparing for any future conflict.
NOW after Biden's reckless (and nasty calculated) decision, we might ALL experience the reality.
Ordinary members of the public do NOT deserve the consequences of their STUPID decisions , ESPECIALLY when Russia have repeatedly warned of the consequences.
