I think k4 is going to be real, max can be good, jhs if he pans out, and koloko if he gets cleared. I'm not even mentioning AR or Vando, but I feel like we have some sneaky pieces that can put us in a decent spot.

    if you havent watched Poeltl, i would consider him as hes in his prime, on a great contract. 7'1" with great passing ability and good defence, raptors rebuilding, just no 3 point ability and not a lengthy vertical, but still a great fit with AD.

    • @jovanbuha
      @jovanbuha  Месяц назад +2

      @@jovanbuha I feel like that is a reasonable contract? Cap going up, I feel like a good gm could get this done without including dlo or rui as well. But even I have been screaming for a true big (emphasis on rebounding) for over 2 years now
    The fact that so many more knowledgeable than myself are just catching on is infuriating

    • @raymondtuckerjr1886
      @raymondtuckerjr1886 Месяц назад

      Allow ME to clue you in, Lil homie. Rebounding is a function of position and effort, not height. You may NOW take your seat.

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад

      @@raymondtuckerjr1886 Height doesn't guarantee that you will be a good rebounder, and like you said, positioning, effort, and even the ability to predict bounce trajectory, are all more important that height when it comes to rebounding. BUT GUESS WHAT??? If you have two guys who have all of these attributes, but one is taller, more athletic, and/or heavier, he will get rebounds over the other at will, if we looking at it in a vacuum. It also happens that most big players have been required to know how to rebound, due to the basic job description of their position. Most guards coming into the league don't have rebounding skills, because guards are usually not tasked with rebounding. They normally are either getting back in transition on defense, or leaking outs in transition offense. There are very few guards that are good rebounders. The same applies to wings, but less so. So I'm not sure what the point of your comment is, but having a 'true big' implies a good rebounder with inherent advantages towards rebounding, so if he mentioned a big like Myles Turner, who is 7 foot, but is a below average rebounder, then your comment would actually have a purpose.

      @@raymondtuckerjr1886 Well, if CP3 was durable, I'd agree with you, but we know he isn't. Regardless, he will probably make the Spurs a playoff/play-in team simply because of his leadership, teaching them how to play, but unless he's healthy when it matters, it wont matter. The Suns really needed CP3, but they couldn't justify paying him what they did, but sadly there isn't anyone they could have gotten that does the same thing as CP3, but is healthy. I do not think any of the guards the Spurs have can be transformed into a CP3 2.0 simply by being under CP3's tutelage either. How do the Spurs replace all the amazing things that CP3 will do for them when he gets injured/retires, so that they can play the same way? I don't want them to have the same issue as the Suns, but CP3 is a tease. They have to draft a player like CP3, because no team is going to give up an elite playmaking guard with CP3's talent, unless they are stupid. Only problem is that the Spurs cannot justify tanking anymore.

This is just plain crazy. If you say that Quincy Olivare is raw how much more Bronny, he is more raw than Quincy. When it comes to defense, Quincy got a better upside than Bronny. I was looking some other two way contract guys that the lakers had and Bronny got guaranteed contract than all these two way contract guys. Bronny didn't deserve that guaranteed contract. There are plenty of guys with JHS and Bronny physical ability who are not playing in the NBA. Tired of hearing all the excuses and being called a bronny hater. I love the Lakers and to see contracts given out to guys who will never make it. Ive been a HUGE proponent of the pairing of AR w Max, and DLo w Dalton.
    Last year, it was not high possession, but the AR/Max pairing had some success. Lineup of
    AR, Max, Rui, Vando, AD had +20.8 on 50 possesions
    AR, Max, TP, Wood, AD had +43.3 on 30 possessions
    AR, Max, TP, James, AD had +14.2 on 79 possessions
    This sample size is even smaller, but adding a combo of AD/Hayes to AR/Max show promise
    AR, Max, Wood, Hayes, AD had +77.8 on 9 possesions
    AR, Max, TP, Hayes, AD had +16.7 on 6 possessions
    AR, Max, Rui, Hayes, AD had +106.7 on 6 possessions
    Overall these 4 together, with Reaves at PG were +68.7 on 21 possessions
    Sure, tinyl sample. But that is on how little they were schemed together. The potential is there. I can see these 4 together with Knecht or even Olivari when then need some energetic punch on scoring, rebounds etc.
    If Bron and AD are ever off the court/game at the same time, it would seem best to go with 2 bigs. Alone, Hayes, Wood or Koloko aren’t enough. Some pairing of Hayes Wood Koloko or Castleton should be out there.
