I took my 2011 Tig to a local shop who said they would install my HPA turbo. It's was nearly 3 weeks there and they didnt start on it. All this week they said my car was going on the rack next. They said the delay was because of specialty tools they showed me last week which was triple squares (I got a set of those). Tried to use it as an excuse. I said you had the tools last week. So today I went out again, they began the same old thing. Your on the rack next. I told them to give me my key. I took the car. You see here in missouri, if you leave your vehicle at a shop or any place for 30 days, a lean can be put on it. Have to watch out for shady garages. So now I am looking for someone to install it for me.
Hey man thanks for the comment sorry that you’re having a hard time getting your car worked on shady garage is suck for sure I don’t know how good you are on working on cars but you could do it yourself. At this point I would probably see how much the shady shop was going to charge you and how much a Volkswagen dealer would charge you at least if you do it at Volkswagen it comes with a warranty most of the time
My tiguan 2010 tdi has caused engine gunk .... i mean th oil filter was caked an so waz th opening at th top of th engine with th cap 😢.... when i drained, it ran thick an lumpy an i feel grit, 2nd hand engine is 1100 plus vat(with no turbo) an mechanicing costs .... ... shes lay there for nearly a year an i only started yesterday with my dad .. dont know what to do he said in all 65 years of working on engines hes has never seen anything like this ... any solutions to red th gunk without opening her up ... she starved th turbo of oil an she blew aswell .... have 3 kids working on a chimney sweeps budget.. thinkn of trying mysel i have good hands but no idea an have been revising thru utube... clearing th gunk ???? I have purchased 3 new oil filters i have kerosene an red diesel, impactors an wrenches... 😮😮😮
After plumbing it all back up, is there anything else needs as far as setting up the turbo?? Any waste gate adjustment or anything else that needs adjustment or just plug and play?

Yo bro I have a 2008 tiguan 1.4 tsi 4 motion manual engine code bwk;cava;ctha do these come with ko3 turbos from factory and is it possible to add a ko4 turbo to mine.
Have a look under the car in the middle around where the center console is located. Commonly the clamp rusts out holding the down pipe to the center back exhaust. 5 dollar fix
Thanks for the video, I gotta do this in my driveway without a lift next week. I have to 4 motion and I was thinking about pulling the axel and do most of the work from the bottom but it looks like you did most of the work from the top. Definitely looks easier from the top. Fuck VW!

It’s a 2013 but same I assume. I need to swap the coil overs up front if you have a video for that? My VW is the only car I’ve owned that I hate wrenching on

My heat shield has 4 bolts holding it on the pass side on a big metal bracket, got them out. There is another bolt on the top of the shield on the driver's side that I can't see or even get to! Why do they over engineer a simple thing like a heat shield? 😵💫
Got it, there were 7 bolts total with three 10mm across the top, what a PITA. You can't eyeball because they are behind/below the turbo had to use a mirror & light to find them.
Are you doing a speed test or showing off? Why put up a video where people who are trying to learn (which is why they are looking it up) if you're going to fly thru shit and people dont have a clue what your doing.

We always disconnect the battery, pretty much for every job just to protect ourselves I would strongly recommend it.

I have a 2016 Tiguan and there's a exhaust leak. There's no engine check light on and it's loud when started and driving. Could this be a bad turbo?

If I had to guess the average person probably do it in 3 to 4 hours it helps having a Lift. If you know what you’re doing two hours
