He never really writes for anything else, but he loves the show so they wanted to see it and we sent it over. Literally three days after he got the scene, we got the song back, when that one came in it was like, ‘Okay, well, that’s it’. We were able to work really closely with them to create this moment. He’ll tell his own story about it, but he has his own investment in what the song means to him. But he really loves the show so he was so into being part of the world and trying to tell the story. He’s an exceptional songwriter, and he’s always been one of my favourite writers, lyrically. That’s a very masterful skill; to take specific stories and make them universal. My grandmother passed away on the very day this song was first released on Spotify, it's very sudden and painful. What surprised me was the fact that the lyrics were so relatable to what had just happened, it was surreal, but now it all makes sense. I later found out she refused to call me the day she fell ill because she didn't want me to worry. This segment specifically has such a deep meaning because of that: "but I'd rather you not be here for what could be my final form, stay your pretty eyes on course". This is a beautiful song, and I will never forget it. Thank you Tyler, and may your beloved grandma rest in peace
