She is perhaps just a British politician with fundamental 'Nigerianness' that is ready to do so much to achieve her ambition. She's loud, confidend, forward and can act out (sometimes to a fault - in a 'holier than the Pope' way) in order to fit in or have her way. She knows exactly why she's saying what she's saying and the impact she expects from it. These social skills are somehow survival traits in Nigeria especially when you look at it from the perspective of seeing wealth and followed by poverty. It's exactly because of individuals like her who spin words and act in certain ways to get her wish (inert desperation) that we are still where we're in Nigeria. I can assure you it's very difficult to beat such a Nigerian in such a highly organised, civilized and predictable societies. One can discern exactly the constuency she is appealing to, and she'll most likely win... unless...

Sick of the Liberal Tories and I will never forgive them for last 14 years. Insanity!!

  • @jacoboblanco3696

Her comments on high skill immigration resonated so much with me. I'm not British or European but did my university career in the UK, got a PhD in Particle Physics and have lots of data engineering and software development experience as a result.
While going through Uni I had to renew my visa 4 times because for some reason the student visa plans don't align to the course lengths declared by the university (3 years for a 4 year program), pay 700 GBP each time, and wait for 6 months while I do my university course without being able to leave the country (they take your passport while your applying).
After finishing uni I went out to look for a job, and even though companies were desperate to hire people with my background, the amount of money and red tape that companies needed to go through to hire a foreigner was too much for most SMEs. I ended up going across the water to Ireland where my visa application was expedited because of my background and I started working within a few weeks of getting the role.
Prospective immigrants should have to be vetted to make sure you aren't bringing in people that might commit crimes, or not contribute to the country, or displace an equivalently capable local. But also you should make it make sense. If there's a shortage of local talent, don't put more barriers in the way to bringing in talent from outside. In my case, they'd already spent the time and effort to educate me so why not keep me and other folks like me. Makes no sense.

It is a known fact that Badenoch’s mother gave birth to her in the U.K. for citizenship. People like her aren’t particularly loyal to any one place so the English, Welsh, Scots and N Irish won’t accept her - unless they are part of the globalist elite traitor class.
Badenoch floated from Nigeria to the U.K. to get on. She would have kept going if she couldn’t make it here because she has no particular loyalty to Britain, other than it did her well to stay.
Sunak too was a globalist. His grandparents are from India, family moved to Africa, then to the UK and he has a US visa in his back pocket. These people aren’t loyal to one country. They go where it suits them financially.
Britain needs a person who is loyal through and through as a leader. The Brits won’t vote for her, just like they didn’t vote for Sunak. The Tories are completely out of touch. Lots to love across issues, though I especially appreciate her opposition to gender ideology, which puts vulnerable young people -- many of whom are gay -- in harm's way, and threatens the rights of all females to their own sports and spaces. She is spot on in stating that the material reality of being female is a powerfully life-shaping fact, not some abstraction that trans-identified males can put on and take off like a jacket. The response she gave at 50:10 feels irrelevant. You cannot compare the UK, which looted artifacts from Africa, especially Nigeria's Benin bronzes, to Nigeria, which is still much younger in terms of democracy and governance.
However, I do not have any ill will against the UK and Kemi's ideology. But she should please stop using Nigeria as her scapegoat. Yes, we have bad actors in our country, but she should also know that there are bad actors everywhere, including the UK. If the UK and other countries were not enabling them by allowing the bad actors to steal our funds and safely hide them in the UK and other Western countries, Nigeria would have one less problem to deal with.
Good luck to her in all her endeavors. I believe she can achieve her goals without the constant media charade she is putting up about Nigeria, a country I do not believe she cares about (in my opinion). Cheers!

@yipzoe3865 this is an odd comment considering the many critical comments she has made about Nigerian politics and society, both in this interview and other places.
The probability of having to choose between the UK and Nigeria, a relatively insignificant country in geopolitics, is minimal.
Also, I don't know if she was granted UK citizenship at birth, or if it was retroactively granted because of the CUKC laws

Now I have seen it I am glad she didnt succumb to the, starkly delusional, Petersonian line that "we just need Christianity". No, we do not,. We need precisely what Kemi outlines - a compassionate and principled British value set that is not frightened to stand up for itself and puts Brits first and foremost.
Oh, and Kemi, if you read this, neither god not his followers are interested in agnosticism, they want belief. Indeed, the god in question has an eternity of conscious torment in fire for anyone who does *not* affirm belief. "Abide in me or depart into everlasting fire". Superstitions like this are not the answer. They also happen to not be true.
Other than that, excellent stuff. Now lets get on with the business of communicating these ideas to lay people and get Starmer - the Islamist enabler - out.

They would have done better to take Jenrick who spoke of mass deportations. However, they went with identity - again!!

When someone says "...I am not an atheist I am agnostic I used to believe very much but now I describe myself as a cultural Christian" that sounds to me like some who is rebeling against the idea of a "religious God" that has been presented to her over the years. However, God is revealed to us. God became visible in Christ. Kemi, Jesus gives face to the invisible God. Ref: John 14: 7-9.
