Sporting Lisbon fan 35+ years. My passion for football lift when I saw Cristiano first season. Not only the game against Manchester, the whole season before. Then the nationals. The game against Sweden...hat-trick against Spain in the World Cup. The Euro final Portugal won, where he almost managed it alongside F.Santos. I think I will never see another player with as much commitment and flair as Cristiano. But Messi, is football. We are lucky to see them, alongside many others in this generation, including Ibra.
The amount of disrespect Messi has received by even comparing Ronaldo to him. Absolute nonsense.....Messi is in a world of his own. Ronaldo cant do anything better than Messi apart from head the ball
Seriously the disrespect is insane. Messi shouldn't be compared to anyone but a lot of people try to box messi into just goals and use that alone and compare him to others.
I follow and support Messi since he was a kid. And as an Argentinian, I will say it once more: we don't deserve you, Lio. Too many people... Journalists, sports press and even this same country, hated you for so long... And yet, you kept on going. Never giving up. And yes... You made it. You got what you worked and fought so hard to get for us. Just contrary to most of those who rejected you all of your career and magic, here I say it for once: thank you eternally for letting me witness the greatest player in Argentinian history (no, I'm not disrespect or to underestimate Maradona, please understand) and thank you for keep fighting and showing us that it was possible.

It's my dream to once watch him play and say to him how great he is and how much I love him. Maybe If bhagwan(god) wants I will come to Argentina to watch him play someday
To be fair, Leo has never seen a defensive players and a football style Diego faced regularly. They were murdering him, especially in Italy. Attackers weren't privileged as they have been in the last 2 decades. And Diego NEVER had great players around him as Leo has always had, in Argentina or other squads.

Messi uses his brain more than his body..He doesn't have the physical appearance of someone like Ronaldo but he plays with the oppositions mentally which kinda forces them to do mistakes on which he capitalises n ppl think it's easy..But actually getting control of your psychological brain is the toughest thing to do as a human.. Apart from skill n talent you need to work very hard to make your brain function like that.. It's not all god gifted..Maybe the dribbling abit but not all.. You need to train very hard day in day out so that your body your brain is at a habit of doing the same thing consistently which makes it look very easy but it's not.. N leo seems to have mastered the sport psychologically..This way combined with his strong physical strength he's able to do things which are almost next to impossible for common ppl to do on a regular basis so consistently.. Messi's physical appearance is an advantage for his way of playing. He has a very low center of gravity which helps him turn and run with the ball faster. It's harder to dribble like he does if you are taller.

When I think about Messi I see some of the unbelievable goals he’s scored (literally 20+ goals flash before my eyes), I see some of the goals he scored when it truly mattered (again 20+ goals flash before my eyes), and then I see the assists or moments that weren’t goals. MESSI IS THE ULTIMATE THING IN FOOTBALL.. YOU CANT GO ABOVE THAT
Maradona won a world cup on his own, in a very poor Argentina team. Maradona also won the league title with Napoli, a mid to bottom table side, in the strongest league in the world at the time, in an era where Italian football showcased the greatest defences of all time. It would be like Messi going to Aston Villa, and winning the league, not once, but twice! Oh.. and the Europa league title too … sorry, but maradona is the undisputed goat 🐐

Don't worry,, even Diego himself admitted that Leo is the goat
To be fair, Leo has never seen a defensive players and a football style Diego faced regularly.
They were murdering him, especially in Italy. Attackers weren't privileged as they have been in the last 2 decades.
And Diego NEVER had great players around him as Leo has always had, in Argentina or other squads.
That's why different eras shouldn't be compared, it's not fair, usually to the older generations since newer impressions seem stronger.

What I like about him the most is that he plays like he is winning even when he is loosing.

Sports are as much as a psychological sport then it is as a physical sport.. N leo seems to have mastered the sport psychologically..This way combined with his strong physical strength he's able to do things which are almost next to impossible for common ppl to do on a regular basis so consistently.. It's all in the mind..The sub conscious mind.. GREATEST PLAYMAKER, UNBELIEVABLE GOAL SCORER,BEST DRIBBLER PASSER..Just absolute genius at everything..Simply THE GOAT! 🐐
Messi's physical appearance is an advantage for his way of playing. He has a very low center of gravity which helps him turn and run with the ball faster. It's harder to dribble like he does if you are taller.
Messi does something that I always say to people no matter what situation you are in always think ahead what next is going to happen take control and you will be in control that is what makes Messi the world greatest player anything after Messi will have to be something like a robot like what they introduced in the game of chess
but my good man there are players that are identical in size height and can never be like him so that cannot be any advantage it is and was the sacrifice he made to become this person it did not come as any gift he worked and worked if it was just gift we would have had a lot like him he is the one that created what we see no one else as they say what you put in is what you will get out is Messi who created Messi
