spookston, as an irl Bradley Mechanic in the US Army, I have to say that I appreciate you putting the good word about the Brad out into the universe. I for once know first hand that this thing is a fucking beast. Seen it do some serious heavy lifting, and has out performed the M1 series of tank in literally every aspect when we have tested it at places like JMRC, NTC, JRTC, etc. And now with the Ukies using them, I'm glad it's getting more recognition. The thing is designed to keep the crew safe, and by god does it fucking do it well. It can absolutely kill tanks, helicopters, and other things. The Army is finally realizing this with the success in Ukraine, and have even begun fielding the AMPV (Brad with no Turret, a true 113 replacement) and a bunch of other things. For us Bradley guys, we are thrilled people see how fucking sick this thing is in real time.
I know an Army infantry guy who's a dismount in Bradleys, he is absolutely stoked. Like he'll tell you it's not a perfect vehicle and it can be a pain in the ass sometimes (literally), but watching one bully a T-90 after everyone shat on it for so long is like watching an underdog movie
It took an actual conflict for people to realize 'minor' things like, I dunno, crew comfort, survivability and ergonomics actually tend to matter. Like, one thing about the BMP-2 is that while you *can* fire the gun in unrestricted mode the turret has next to no ventilation so the crew will very quickly choke themselves out under any kind of sustained fire.
Yes those are extremely important things that people judging vehicles by "hard stats" never realise. And for me that's a perfect lithmus test in discussions about military vehicles on whether the person has a real idea on what he's talking about or whether his entire knowledge comes from video games and youtube videos. I remember years ago talking to a veteran who served on IS-2 tank. I loved it as a kid, what kid wouldn't love such a lumbering beast with a massive 122mm gun? But the guy didn't exactly do. The biggest problem that for him basically disqualified this tank from being considered a good construction was exactly the ventilation problems, as after firing the gun the turret turned into a gas chamber. They had to go into combat with open hatches and the gun's rate of fire was limited to below even the stated low-low 2 rounds per minute, because otherwise the inside filled with so much gas the crew had trouble breathing, and on top of that a muzzle cloud was created after each shot blocking out the gunners' vision, so he couldn't confirm the hit nor engage next target or see if enemy moved until it dissipated. Because of that this tank was basically unable to effectively take part in any prolonged combat or take up tank-on-tank engagements by itself. This talk completely changed my outlook on military vehicles, as I realised something that I never saw even mentioned in books about WWII tanks, as they all simply stated official hard stats, and never dwelled into "small" details that nonetheless could change entirely the vehicle's use and potential. And up to this day you can see this especially in internet discussions. Seeing people praise IS-2 because it had that and that armor, that and that speed, the gun had that and that penetration etc while in the reality it failed to ever use these advantages because it knocked out it's own crew, hampering them in doing their job effectively, because someone constructing that tank forgot that it's humans operating those machines, who need to breathe and see to make it work. But oh well, taking that stuff into consideration makes it harder to have internet armchair discussions of throwing numbers at each other! I went into different example here but it applies to all military vehicles, modern-day too, like your BMP-2 example. The term "crew comfort" gives faulty meaning to some people, as "comfort" is taken as some "luxury", something extra. While more often than not it simply means that vehicle's construction allows you to perform your job as needed instead of actively hampering you or even posing danger to it's own crew.
@colemurphy2063 If they model this, then all other nations will also have their glaring flaws like tigers who would be incapable of advancing because of transmission.

The greatest advantages the Bradley has (survivability when hit and crew ergonomics) aren't modeled properly in War Thunder for their rivals, which is why it seems so weak.
@@zchris13 There is nothing special about Bradley crew survivability and crew ergonomics when compare to most other modern ifv, modern as in post 1980s. That would please British mains(well, at least one) and that is unacceptable
“Bradley second to Begleitpanzer 57”- Spookston 2024
2:40 Spookston casually giving himself WW2 PTSD
ok the band of brothers bit reminded me about how often I used to fall asleep to the Battle of the Bulge episodes as a kid, that was my sleepy noise :3
7:50 5 years ago everyone dogged on it, I personally equate the bradley hate to the pentagon wars being free to watch on yt
2:12 the rapid launch of the turret LMAO
Did he really think bringing full ammo at high teir was a good Idea even if he is AA
@@B-52Hto be fair I'm pretty sure the marksmen system can *only* bring full ammo into games even if he didn't want to
@@somerandomdude6977 oof that's sad then
Pro tip for WT replay footage: There is a keybind called "Toggle Camera Wiggle" which turns off that camera smoothing between views. It makes the replay look much more like how you actually played and stops some of us getting motion sick :)
Was playing through the game Mercenaries recently and remembered how much I loved the Bradley in it. Nice to see people giving it more love these days.
From playing Conflict Desert Storm, Shattered Union and World in Conflict, i was convinced that Bradley is the best IFV in the world
Just fix the ATGMs and the BMP-cels are finished
I almost thought that there were no CAS deaths, but then, Alouette
The greatest advantages the Bradley has (survivability when hit and crew ergonomics) aren't modeled properly in War Thunder for their rivals, which is why it seems so weak.
@@zchris13
There is nothing special about Bradley crew survivability and crew ergonomics when compare to most other modern ifv, modern as in post 1980s.
In fact, there are plenty of more modern design that exceed Bradley on both of the metric simultaneously, because they are more modern. The thing rolls out of production line before Abrams. it is ancient.
Oh man, Shattered Union, that’s a nostalgia bomb right there.
I've been a fan of the Bradley ever since reading "Carnivore" back in 2015. If anything, war thunder severely underestimates the Bradley's capabilities.
On one hand yes, on the other hand that auto cannon has gone through my IS-3's turret
@@CareerGamer2012which Bradley?
@@CareerGamer2012pretty sure it's because of holes in the armor, because gaijin
Also was in the second to none division aka 2nd Inf Div. 2-9 INF.
spookston, look into getting a surge protector with a battery backup, they typically only last like 10-30 minutes unless youre going to get a huge one. it is just meant to give you some time to backup and save everything on your PC if the power goes out, not meant to actually continue using the pc for normal operations
I don't know, man, seems to me like the Bradley's reputation had a rather significant emotional event recently.
I mean in real life.
Ah yes, the chadley, a t90s worst nightmare
In the mind of the mentally deranged maybe
"You spin me right round, baby right round"
Nah don’t say that the Russian bots will come for you…
@JustLikeMalinaABit ah it’s fine the Russian bots haven’t really come out today, maybe the powers down in Moscow 🤔
@JustLikeMalinaABit fair enough 😂
Bradley my beloved.
Only ever drove him in Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat (the predecessor to Battlefield 2) but loved every minute.
Now that you had the privilege of driving such an excellent and fun vehicle, please do the Ro-Go Exp. next 😁
Since we’re on the topic of American tanks, please play the M103. I’ve been asking for a while and think it’s time
Funny that it was made as an aa gun but in nearly all wars it’s been used in, it’s used to rinse the enemy…
Yes please I agree I’ve been asking for ages!!!

You hear that "Colonel" Burton? EAT YOUR FUCKIN HEART OUT!!!
2:45 Spookston is going to get PTSD
"I'm pretty surprised that we penned a centurions side" - Spookston, a man who doesn't play the British tech tree.
In all seriousness keep up the good work, enjoying it for years.
Spookston - Bradley is SO GOOD & SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY
*Plays 1 game in Bradley*
*Dies 40s into the match from a Turm III autocannon from 1.3 km away*
Spookston when he gets spawn camped: 😡
Spookston when he spawn camps: 🥺
fr that whole first match is the kinda thing that made me stop playing wt for months
As a Baguette eater, i request the AMX-30 DC- uhhh, AMX-30 IFV
2:13 Turret tossing silver medal right there.
I, too, fall asleep while watching things.(Usually spookston videos)
Though once I fell asleep next to my lady friend while watching Suits on Netflix, at some point Harvey Specter shouted which jolted me awake. According to my lady friend I covered my face with my hands, yawned, and said "sorry Harvey 🥺" before going back to sleep comfortably.
"The TOW works 10% of the time, but usually you can do pretty well with it." - Spookston 2024
You know what you should do? You should drive with manual mode in one video. It won't really change anything, but it will frustrate you a little bit, which is what I am here for. You could also stack this challenge onto an additional challenge, to make for the best, or worse , experience.
hahaha "It won't really change anything, but it will frustrate you a little bit, which is what I am here for."
At 2:04, when he said "oh, Fox", I thought we were about to hear the first swear word on the channel.
He swore several times in his videos depending on what you consider a swear. He just censors it in the newest ones. The old gameplay videos have some of them though
Thank God you posted a video, tiktok and RUclips shorts were getting boring
Bradley has great features like engine smoke +thermals combo - pretty much makes you invisible and you can still shoot enemies, great turret down positioning when using gunners sight for firing TOW's, decent mobility and turret traverse and ok survivability.
Spookston woke up to mg-42 gun sounds effects💀
PTSD definitely…
12:56 The AIM-9B is the world's shittiest IR missile.

Day 1 of asking spookston to play the pantsir s1 or the leopard 2 PL
It would be sick if you played the M103 and even brought an AA if you wanted
Btw I love the choice of music for the q&a videos
Spookston should "just spawn AA" and play an all SPAA lineup.
In my opinion, this is the most fitting thing you've yet driven to that C&C Generals background music.
@1:53 me when a spider descends onto me
i was so suprised when i saw the "second to none" in this video title. its because those words are part of the chorus in the song 40:1 by sabaton :)
Day 196 of asking Spookston to play Semovente 75/46 M43.
COME ON PLAY IT! I AM NOT GONNA SURRENDER PAL!
Dude thank you!!!! I love the bradley!!!! I've wanted you to play it for sooooo long! I'm hoping to get a A3 bradley video from you if possible! I used to drive, gun and command one!
Cool. My kid brother (mind you, he's 46) is a FO on a Bradley for the NCNG. Now, let's see if we can get Spookston in an LAV-25A2 for my brother's time in the USMC.
9:50 "I love playing IFV's becau-" Ummmmmm ackshullay it's a CFV 🤓👆
Day 191 of asking spookston to play the Is-4m
3:08 - The Bushmaster works in mysterious ways...
Oh who am I kidding, it just works! 😂
the 25mm kill from the back was crazy(ammo gave nasty backshots there)
I love spookston and everything, but you are the bane of my Sweden grind right now, so many Bradley's right after this video
Just remember, this IFV destroyed a T90M with its auto cannon
At the same time using a high explosive tape
From the sides, maybe. But i doubt it is possible from the front.
@@alexmaximus9134 no, it can from the front, you can easily find a clip of one doing just that in Ukraine
@@alexmaximus9134 In an interview, the gunner of this Bradley said that they had a high explosive tape loaded and he was trying to get into the optics of the gunner and the commander to blind him
And after all, the t 90m was not destroyed, as I remember, the tower began to spin (maybe the drives jammed or something happened to the gunner) and he crashed and got stuck, after which the tank was finished off by drones
@@pearelectronics3083 Maybe in the lower plate. I don't see that tiny shell having the power to punch through anywhere else. Other than shooting the lower front plate, at best, it can take out the tracks, the gun or mess up the optics. But i doubt it can do more than that.
"very inconsistent"is a good summary of the game as a whole
Funny that the M3A3 also has ESS in WT, when it doesn't have it IRL.
I haven't played with a Bradley yet but in real life Bradley's are awesome. Im an U.S. Army Vet, I was a Mechanized Infantrymen 11-M. I started as a driver, moved up as a gunner and later became a BC (Bradley Commander). My WT name is A-22 Dirty Deuce, that was the name of my Bradley!!
Here is a Bradley Gunnery command example,
BC: Gunner missile Tank 2000 meters!
Gunner: Identified
BC: Driver up
BC: Fire
Gunner: On the way
BC: Target destroyed, driver back!
Here is another one.
BC: Gunner... coax troops, sabot pc (Personnel Carrier)
Gunner: Identified
BC: Driver up
BC: Fire
Gunner: On the way
BC: Target destroyed, driver back!
I miss my Bradley!
The funny thing is I purposely fall asleep to ww2 documentaries as it comforts me
Yooo, I was in a Spookston vid. As a squadmate'n everything too.
Fun fact about the M901 Spookston if you shoot the wallies missile now it won't instantly die it will just get set on fire unless you shoot it with high calaber he (like 122mm up). :D
Meanwhile the Type 89 sits at 9.0 with 4 missiles and practically the same kit.
Spookston, seriously, get a UPS! A UPS will not only give you time to save what you are doing if the power goes out but a good one protects from voltage spikes and sags, it has saved my PC on more than one occasion.
Random fun fact: the Bushmaster 25mm is used by the US Navy on some warships!
Spookston describing his Band Of Brothers PTSD with the background footage is some of the funniest stuff I've seen all year
The way WT thinks missiles behaves is just awful. Also the 25 on the Brad has gone through the front of my IS-3's turret. It is the most absurd gun imaginable
7:29 "the bushmaster should be able to pen the sides of MBTs, with relative ease" *gunna writing fire meme*
I just gotta say I love how you continue to use the "our table, it's broken" meme for enemy near misses. Please keep doing it
Spookston getting woken up in his sleep by Band Of Brothers with his WW2 Ptsd is honestly hilarious!
That's enough fun for you, Spookston. Back to playing heavy casemate tank destroyers
You could say that the Bradley was…
BAPTIZED BY FIRE, SECOND TO NONE
I have always liked the Bradley just because I think it looks cool. It is one of the reasons I want to grind the American tech tree (besides the 76 Jumbo and the American heavies). I am glad you played this vehicle, have a good one (:
11:30 IKV91 be like:
that thing has enough zoom to read enemy player's thoughts and it's awful
'oh, my uav is in kazachstan right now' got me dying
Damn, Spookston. So close to 400k!
the early bradley is one of my all time favs, it makes that lineup for the US playable/enjoyable for me. i too am a sucker for the nice m3 skins
Turns out Pentagon Wars wasn't a documentary. Who knew?
I enjoy watching you playing more than me playing the game
Ah yes, the depleted uranium APDS, also DU cuts through metal like a hot knife on butter
With the sight issue at 11:00, the better option to keep it the same is swap weapon keybind, it brings up a sight for your secondary weapon
