He had a couple failed engagements to women. When he realized the reality of marrying someone he wasn’t attracted to, he began having sever anxiety attacks. It took a toll on his mental health. He said that when he began suspecting he was queer that he contemplated committing sue-a-side. It was hard for him to leave the church, but he said it was very liberating when he finally did. David Archuleta has been through a lot! I’m glad that he is finally on the other side of this lifelong struggle.
