@@hven- i pointed it out bc i love country music and her vibrato reminds me of it. very on brand for next album. but how would you know, i doubt ur an actual fan.
Yess and another thing that called my attention is her smooth transition from belting to falsetto/head voice, not manny singers can do that so smoothly!
That key change in the second verse is nuts. Not just a half-step up like key changes usually are, it goes from A to G, a whole step down. So weird that it works and doesn't sound bad at all.
A to C, and then the original key change doesn't sound that good, but makes the G at the end of the verse back into A in the chorus feel AMAZING. Such a great chord change!
@@JonKovach The change isnt so much crazy, but the linking chord is, E major >C major to mark a modulation is weird, most people would use the IV chord (F major) or maybe the V chord (G major) to smooth the transition. This change is the iii chord but with the sharpened 3rd making it a major, which is unusual. The change back is quite nice because it just walks up a tone (g major back to a major) and we've heard the section before so it feels more normal. I dont really understand the change and would love someone with more knowledge to explain to me why they might have decided to use it and why it doesnt sound even more awkward than it does (im assuming all of these pop songs are put together by professional songwriters who understand modulation, cadences and harmonic structure like the back of their hand).
I live for this single, but she has a future recording songs with her voice clear of effects and stacking. There's something really genuine and clear about it.
Just came across these videos. Already loved her voice, but hearing her with nothing but a piano and her voice, simply amazing. Thanks for uploading this.
@@gg69155 Yes, she is. It’s subtle, but it’s there. I won’t repay rudeness with rudeness and ask if *you’re* deaf, but those who are familiar with using pitch correction know the sound, and she definitely uses it live.
Her mannerism is still the same y’all don’t understand how authentic she is, trust me I’ve been listening to her music ever since girl meet world and eyes wide open all the way till now. She’s just that amazing
I'm a sixty eight year old rocker who favorite group is " THE BAND" . I'm thinking most people here never heard of them. check out "The Last Waltz" the bands final concert filmed by Martin Scorsese- that said , this girl is one of the best singers I've heard in a really long time-she conveys it!!
Jack Antnoff deserves so much more credit!!! He's amazing!! He wrote majority of Taylor Swift's music (like, 90% of 1989) and gets zero credit- He was apart of fun. and is currently the frontman of Bleachers. Don't Steal the Money and I Wanna Get Better are like, two of their best songs. Ofc, Love Sabrina as well. Her music is amazing and her voice is gorgeous.
Love Jack, but he gets more than enough credit lol. And he only produced 2 songs on the original 1989 (Out of the Woods & I Wish You Would)… most of the album is produced by max martin & shellback. Jack is great and while she writes with him sometimes, Taylor is the main writer in all her music, love it or hate it. Jack gets plenty of credit, though. Lol people either blame him for or attribute him to their least and most fave songs all the time, Lana fans as much as taylor ones. And the industry too… he literally won the grammy for producer of the year last year
No she just naturally has a really strong vibrato and when people sing in a head mixed voice (such as she’s doing in the chorus) you have to make it forward (mask singing) to project it which is naturally a little nasally.
@@CourtneyKing I feel like she’s forcing this country-ish tone and she sung almost the entire song in her head voice. Before, she seemed to put a lot of strength in her chest voice and belting.
@@ceruleanprince7139 I think in some ways maybe a bit, in order to fit into the mainstream pop sound usually it’s a little more mixed and not super belty all the time, but because she sounds like a mezzo soprano, she either has to belt full on to hit high notes or go into her head dominant mix, that’s my assumption anyway.
Glad whoever was in that room generally let her sing so we could hear her. Not singing or yelling along. This was great.
This is the type of concert i would enjoy
but the crowd shouldve done the *clapclap* during the chorus☹☹ wouldve been so fun

I love how Jack is just a little pair of glasses peaking up from above the piano
The way she sings this song makes me think of Dolly Parton
Her vibrato with the falsetto head mix is similar to Dolly
THANK YOU. said this as soon as she released it. totally dolly vibes all the way.
The song references country music genre so much! It’s basically a sped-up country ballad with pop vibes
Very much so. And speaking words with enthusiasm in the song, is very much Dolly.
Exactly! She got that vibe and I’m liking it
Her range is actually kind of insane omg, I can reach her low note but the fact that she can go THAT low and that high is crazy

Jack is amazing for that 80s- reminiscent sound. And Sabrina has a lovely voice!
