yup, 80's, 90's, I would even say early years of new millenium - music, music clips, movies - it was all made for the sake of fun. Even the weirdest or dumbest ideas had chance to be realized as long as there was passion behind it. Newdays it's all about making money and pleasing agendas for minorities, ruining brands, franchises, making cover after cover or remix of a cover - creativity is dead.
I was born and raised in the USSR, this song was playing on my tape recorder 24 hours a day. It was 1986, a time of hope and peace!!! There was no war then! I love America of the 80s
Yes it was. It was the best decade for a lot of reasons, especially cool toys. My 6 year old now sees something old and says "dad that looks like its from the 1980s". It makes me smile. He sees my old toys that I won't let him open and drools over the transformers. He loves the music too, he's a little Poison and Def Leppard fan for sure!
Qué horror, el tiempo pasó!!!! Muchos somos abuelos.... pero aunque el cuerpo envejezca en el espíritu no hay tiempo. La música te hace revivir, renacer.
The 80s, what a decade, the music, the movies, the style, the trends, the clothes and the hair. If you were not around when the 80s talking about it, listening to music or watch a movie from the 80s just doesn't justify enough, you missed one heck of a good decade. Make that great decade

It brought back so many great memories of me being a kid and the good old days the 80's I miss those times so much. It hurts to think about, I wish I could go back in to time and not ever leave from those times. ❤❤❤❤
Mannequin was an awesome movie. A great classic. The 80s ruled back then and they still rule today. I'm honored and privileged to have been able to live my childhood in such a great time. The 80s are missed but never forgotten. It will always live on in the hearts of all of us who were there. 80s forever!!!!!!
So nostalgic! I miss these times so much. Wishing I was a teenager again in the late 80s early 90s. The world will likely never experience this type of great music again! 😥
@Conada1002 Unlike modern singers, who fuck their voice up with autotune excessively and/or rhythmically spitfire meaningless gibberish at over 1000000000 MPH (the latter-of course-refers to rappers)
80's ... when i was a kid ... when everybody were getting along ... when there was no religion nor racism ... when we had nothing but good times ... when we had THE BEST MUSIC !!!! The 80's will ALWAYS be the BEST YEARS of my life. Wish i could go back. So much good and amazing memories ❤❤❤
Im 29 and nothing beats the 80s music. There was heart to it. My mom used to listen to this on her mix tape. I remember this song playing while in the car seat when i was little.
The positivity, innocence, and power of this era hits hard when compared to the bankrupt society we exist in today. From the moment this track begins, the energy elevates mood and inspires optimism in the listener. When put side to side with modern songs the sobering hijack of the music industry is stark staringly clear to all.
I believe anyone who was a teenager in the 80's lived through the best times ever...that includes the 90's up until the early 2000's. I feel sorry for the younger generation.
I was nine years old, donning the most puffiest pink 80's flower girl dress, at my godfathers wedding reception. The best era..the craziest memories growing up. A lifetime supply of Aquanet hairspray. This song will always play on those long sunset drives in the summer. ❤❤❤

@@hubbaman9885 it's the culture, that's the reason why we hear that music nowadays. Back then was very predominantly European influenced, but nowadays it doesn't seem to be catered to that anymore. Damn shame really.....
This was out when I met my beautiful bride. We are still together and love this song more than ever. Nothing stopped us. Seven children together and now 5 grandchildren. That alone is such a priceless gift. We are also grateful we have been financially blessed. This was a great time! It's part of our amazing journey together!
I heard this song when I was 10 and I couldn't understand nothing at all and I learned English to understand every word in this song. It's been 30 years since I promised myself to learn and speak English. The teacher that inspired me passed away 2 years ago. Her name was Alice from Dgo, Mexico and I miss her a Lot.
According to Grace Slick’s autobiography, she recorded this and other songs of this era purely for the paycheck, and because she was on autopilot. Yet somehow she also managed to deliver a technically perfect, tremendously moving vocal anyway - through her own ambivalence, through the corporate (but catchy) songwriting. Legend!
@@lard_lad_AU to be honest I think this was Grace's best era in terms of TONE and style whether she agrees or not. I love Jefferson Airplane but there's something about this era that makes me more elevated for Grace.

Lyrics:
Lookin' in your eyes
I see a paradise
This world that I've found is too good to be true
Standin' here beside you
Want so much to give you
This love in my heart that I'm feeling for you
Let 'em say we're crazy
I don't care about that
Put your hand in my hand
Baby, don't ever look back
Let the world around us
Just fall apart
Baby, we can make it
If we're heart to heart
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us now
Oh, whoa
I'm so glad I found you
I'm not gonna lose you
Whatever it takes
I will stay here with you
Take you to the good times
See you through the bad times
Whatever it takes
Is what I'm gonna do
Let 'em say we're crazy
What do they know?
Put your arms around me
Baby, don't ever let go
Let the world around us
Just fall apart
Baby, we can make it
If we're heart to heart
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us
Ooh, all that I need is you
All that I ever need
All that I want to do
Is hold you forever
Forever and ever...
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
Nothing's gonna stop us
Build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us
And we can build this dream together

It hurts to think about, I wish I could go back in to time and not ever leave from those times. ❤❤❤❤
Brings me back to the 80’s. Best music generation.
❤️❤️❤️
I definitely agree with you on that statement!
2024 and beyond....nothing gonna stop this song
Wish we could turn back time to good old days!!
I love this song so much. I was then 13 years old. Now I'm 47 still loving it. The 70s, 80s,90s song is the best
Sorry we are to computer when it comes with it going today to tv 🤣🙂 to play with when we went yw ☺️ to play 😹 w
Toast to 80s! same age as you from Korea
Yes..80s the best😍😍😍😍
Hell yeah!!!!!! 46 here
I was 11 yo :)
Totally agree 💯 80's child
me too !!!
Indeed it was great era. Born in 73.
@@robinsonsarah143 also agree
a 80's kid here. Yes, it was a great time, so peaceful...RUclips makes the passage of time is so bitter sweet
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us 2024!
Okkkkkkkk!❤ 🔥
No special tricks with their vocals just pure talent
I doubt any hit artist would even try singing without auto tune
So nostalgic! I miss these times so much. Wishing I was a teenager again in the late 80s early 90s. The world will likely never experience this type of great music again! 😥
I love her voice. So powerful and precise.
I also know Grace and Ann Wilson’s vocal are the most powerful in the music industry.
Her pipes and confidence... she's a force to behold, for sure.
Yes, Grace Slick can really hit the high notes. Mickey is a great singer too.
@Conada1002 Unlike modern singers, who fuck their voice up with autotune excessively and/or rhythmically spitfire meaningless gibberish at over 1000000000 MPH (the latter-of course-refers to rappers)
Hola!alguien sabe como se llama la película que aparece ahi
The 80's in it's best times. What i kind of ones masterpieces!
I am 46 years old and i used to listen in radio. This song still gives me energy like my young age... Love this song
I remember listening this on the radio with my mom.😍 Love this song.❤
Modern music just doesn’t have the same charm.
Im 45..my god..the memories of the good old days..seems just like yesterday isnt it?
What a song!!! Reminds me of my teenage years
Still gives me goosebumps!!!
The 80s were awesome!!!
A time when life was at best. Before gender studies and homos , when having a good time wasn't drugs
80’s we’re the BEST! 👌👌
80's ... when i was a kid ... when everybody were getting along ... when there was no religion nor racism ... when we had nothing but good times ... when we had THE BEST MUSIC !!!! The 80's will ALWAYS be the BEST YEARS of my life. Wish i could go back. So much good and amazing memories ❤❤❤
So glad I experienced the 80’s what a great time it was. Artist had real talent and could sing, and so many great movies.
Hi 👋, how are you doing today
This song just made me cry. Didn't realize how much I miss my childhood 😢
Every generation has songs that take them back to that time of innocence. Lovers was just a word
Not the 2020's. It is a nightmare and I will look back at 2020-2022 with good riddance!!
I love this song from the 80s i am listening to it October 2024?
Nov 2024
Im 29 and nothing beats the 80s music. There was heart to it. My mom used to listen to this on her mix tape. I remember this song playing while in the car seat when i was little.
I'm 65 and still love this song😊
@@shelliehayes6622 I still love it too
if you're listening to this in 2023? you have my love and respect
All I remember of the 80s is I had a really good time and that it took me all of the 90s to recover lol
i was born 1983... we were innocent kids.... then 2000 happended everything shifted... hope youre all good and stay positive...
yawn boring just say you liked it ffs
It’s so true. I’m 25 years old and music from the 80s and 90s is just different. Makes you feel alive.
Any one listening 2024 right now at this moment 🙌
yes, me
hell ya let it rock n roll
me too - it's one of my favorites!
❤ Me 👈
Yes
This song dominated my childhood. I still love it 35 years later.
Me too!. And what a brilliant era we lived through!.
@@MrTMrT007
Brilliant indeed
36 years later and this song still rocks and still top 1 of my fav❤
Às músicas de hoje jamais chegarão ao topo das paradas de sucesso.
yeah
Its such a great song ! I remember singing this to my mum when I was a little kid
awesome 80’s.. a time we will never get to live again but will forever be in our memories and deep in our hearts ❤
❤️
Soo jealous… born in 90 so I missed out on my favorite decades, as far as music goes.
I miss the 80s it was a amazing time
😃🤩✌👍
Mais alguém ouvindo em Abril de 2024 ?😍
All the year 😅😅
Nothing can ever change how we need to have lovers in our lives.
Watermelon 🍉 kid
The vocals of Grace Slick and Mickey Thomas. WOW. Great song, great movie!
Grace Slick always had one of the greatest voices in music...👍😉💜
👍👍👍
Her and Whitney Houston. Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande don't hold a candle to either Slick or Houston.
Marty Balin sure had the vocal chops too
Grace Slick RULES my white rabbits.
Her intensity is awesome
I was nine years old, donning the most puffiest pink 80's flower girl dress, at my godfathers wedding reception. The best era..the craziest memories growing up. A lifetime supply of Aquanet hairspray. This song will always play on those long sunset drives in the summer. ❤❤❤
Love it!!!

It doesn't get more 80's than that folks.
It's one of the songs I never get tired of listening to. The 80s were arguably the best of all rock music.
If your listening to this in 2023 you had a good taste of music
Hell yeah
2024, been rocking this song since the 80s!
Keep rocking it!
So sad we don't have songs and movies like this anymore. Truly one of the best songs in one of the best movies of the '80s
Seem to have lost our sense of fun in pop culture. Maybe it's on the way back.
Totally agree with you on that 😃!
I agree, it is pretty much rap, hip hop I hear anymore in any movie sound track nowadays. Either that Lady Gaga, who to me is more of a Madonna clone.
In our country we still make movies like this
@@hubbaman9885 it's the culture, that's the reason why we hear that music nowadays. Back then was very predominantly European influenced, but nowadays it doesn't seem to be catered to that anymore. Damn shame really.....
As a 23 year old I can say this is better than the majority of the music that comes out nowadays
Quite sad, the music now days is kind of good but the heart isn't there, or the effort. Just corporate melodies
My great grandparents took me to see them in concert at Epcot when I was 10! 22 in a month with my own baby and it’s amazing hearing it again. ❤
That’s a easy call!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👀
Niothing better😅
Wow..that says alot
I was 7 when I first heard this song, but it's one of the few I love. 80s and 90s climate that can not be replaced
Same here I was 7 when this came out..80's kid and 90's teenager,we are lucky to have lived both decades.
I want to go back to live in the 80's and 90's, because the times were more beautiful😥😭
I was 12 when this song came out and still cherish it to this day!! ❤ Starship forever! 🎉
Same as me. Ah, those day. How I miss them and how they fly by.
12 ????? shit im old
Hi Jenny, how are you?
I was 13 1987
@@buster-jr5lr lol
The most iconic song of the 1980s I was so glad I was a teenager in the 80s
Straight from heart.... Songs of 80s and 90s. What a time that was... Era of cassette and tape recorder. 👍
Simply the best
The 80's was the best part of my life. Wish time machine was real... ❤️
I hear you, the world now is a complete mess!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊@@TazBo-wd2ig
Some day it will real. What is unthinkable today might be possible tomorrow. Unbreakable natural rules might have exceptions to be discovered.
This was out when I met my beautiful bride. We are still together and love this song more than ever. Nothing stopped us. Seven children together and now 5 grandchildren. That alone is such a priceless gift.
We are also grateful we have been financially blessed. This was a great time!
It's part of our amazing journey together!
@Humility777 👏👏👏👏👏
I'm a 80's baby so this brings back memories of being a kid.
R.I.P your teacher. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@angelg6565 Rest in peace, a great woman.
Absolutely a great song of it's times, even today it's still amazing!🌈
Happy Birthday Grace, #84!

Happy birthday 🥳 here’s to 50 more happy, healthy, fabulous years. God bless❤️
@@tehzeebkohli763 Thanks a lot, don't know if I can do another 50 years though but I will do my best .thanks again ,big love
Yes!!!
Happy 50 times around the 🌞
According to Grace Slick’s autobiography, she recorded this and other songs of this era purely for the paycheck, and because she was on autopilot. Yet somehow she also managed to deliver a technically perfect, tremendously moving vocal anyway - through her own ambivalence, through the corporate (but catchy) songwriting. Legend!
Damn she really doesn't love the 80s don't she hahahaha
yes I heard that she hated this era. But the paycheck was good and she still delivered a powerhouse performance
@@lard_lad_AU to be honest I think this was Grace's best era in terms of TONE and style whether she agrees or not. I love Jefferson Airplane but there's something about this era that makes me more elevated for Grace.
ahh that makes sense! She looks so hard and masculine compared to her " Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" songs
Proud 60s Lad. Lived through it all!!! Still here kicking!!!
Awe man, to have lived in the 80's!! The best music! I loved the Mannequin!
I know right. It was so awesome we're so lucky to have been alive then
@@WhatsCookingTime shoot yeah man. I still get goosebumps when I hear Spandau Ballet - True.
The reason this song rules, look at the joy and happiness of making a musical masterpiece
Nothing like listening to the 80's jams!!
That’s really all I listen to these days..
You should look up Australian music from the 80s!
