Purav’s character is trapped, reliving the trauma of his past. His real memories blur with his dreams, leaving him unsure of what’s real. I wanted to create an experience where the audience feels the same confusion and tension that the character feels.
Here’s how it all actually unfolds:
After a late shift, he’s walking home when he meets the girl on the same path. They connect, but then another man takes her away, setting off his nightmare. Just before the liquor store scene, he mentions having only one cigarette left, with one already gone. This references the moment when he first saw the girl and threw away his cigarette, giving us a clue about the timeline of the film.
Later that same night, at the liquor store, he sees her dead in the same car. Shocked, he tries to escape, but the villain follows him. The next morning, we see Purav injured, with a wound from that night, hinting that he killed the man. In the background, we catch a glimpse of a shovel (04:04) referencing the opening scene where he digs a grave. The scar is still fresh, indicating it happened the night before. The scar lightens as the days pass.
On the second night, he’s returning with two factory workers, caught between trauma and his dark transformation. The sound of the baba’s tuntuna triggers him, pushing him toward violence, even encouraging the others to kill. This sound is key, it signals he’s in a dream.
Finally, in the last scene, when he hears the girl’s voice on the phone (though she’s supposed to be dead), he’s shocked. The tuntuna plays again, confirming he’s trapped in a dream state, and just like that, he returns to the car, the spot, the same scene, hoping to find her there once more.
It’s a haunting loop, like a melody repeating, yet never quite reaching an end.

"द्विवक्तृ"... क्या सोचा है लिखने वाले ने वाह👌... द्विवक्तृ (Dvivaktra) एक ऐसे इंसान को कहते हैं जो दो मुँह वाला होता है आंग्लभाषा में कहें तो मल्टीपल पर्सनालिटी... ऐसे में ये नाम इस चरित्र पर पूरा का पूरा फिट होता प्रतीत होता है, एक व्यक्ति जो अपनी ही ज़िन्दगी सपनों की तरह जी रहा है। वो दोमुंहा सांप का संदर्भ, वो सपने, रेडियो में चल रही न्यूज़, साथी के शब्द से अपनी ही भावना सुनना, अचानक से फूटा हुआ गुस्सा, इन्तेक़ाम की घटना और उसके बाद फिर वही सामान्य सी ज़िन्दगी ही तो द्विवक्तृ का सटीक उदाहरण है।

This is cinema . This is actually how short films should be . What I thought about this is very different yet a little similar to the director's vision . I initially thought that whatever he hears in the radio that day , he experiences it in his dreams and lucidly experiences it . This is actually how I write. Complex narratives and hard to understand, leaving the audience in confusion and letting them figure out .really , this is great work by everyone , especially the writer director . Hats off

Dvivaktra was a lonely man, and one day he finally met someone, but right in front of him, that one girl was taken away. That’s where his character starts to develop, aur phir vo sab hota hai jo dikhaya gaya hai. Mindfuck, but too good🤯

Let me correct the timeline...
NIGHT 1 - first purav met a women and then he find her dead body in the car and then he kills the man named vishnu chaudhary who taken her away and killed her then he buried him as we can see in first scene of the film .... all this happening in same night
DAY 1 - Another day he wokes up with injury on his head and listens in radio about that incident but he has forgotten everything assuming it was a dream....
NIGHT 2 - Now this night purav along with his two friends kills 5 peoples due to personality change.
DAY 2 - Next day he wokes up as normal purav and again forgets everything.... thinks that it was a dream and listens to the radio about that incident and at same day his friend who remained alive tells him to forgot everything about last night .... but he already forgot everything because he was in another personality....and suddenly purav jumps into a dream where he assumes that someone is calling him that he has a call for him but in reality no one called him see 21:39 how his friend reacts.... he was in dream NO ONE WAS ON CALL
NIGHT 3 - and because of that fake call he reaches at the same place where he met that women but she is already died no one will come there
