Oh hang on. The question? That's called free speech. One of life's rare pleasures.
Serve them right. There is no human rights problem in USA or Canada because they had eliminate all the Red Indians and nobody left to complaint.
First of all you shouldn't call them red indians. Second of all we admitted to the atrocities that have occurred in our past. Currently the new Canadian gov is trying to rectify it. We still have thousands of indigenous groups living across Canada. The thing with china is that they don't admit or apologize for the atrocities they have done. They just ignore them and pretend they haven't happened. For example the Tiananmen Square massacre. China pretends that didn't happen.
I think foreign minister's response serves you well too because you obviously don't know truth, don't even want to spend time searching for truth. You just regurgitate what you like to hear. Do more research on the so called "Tiananmen square massacre" before you post any such accusation
Exactly. +BrothaJeff, why don't you start with a clip video from a Spanish press team? They were at the Tiananmen Square that night and retreating with the students - the clip was released 5 years after the incident. And do tell what kind of "massacre" you saw in there.
newjack I have researched Tiananmen square extensively. I know the truth about it. The truth is it happened and many Chinese students and soldiers unnecessarily lost their lives. Why does the Chinese government deny that it ever happened? Why don't they confront their mistakes? They pretend it didn't happen... China said that reports of the “massacre” in Tiananmen Square were a fabrication created both by Western media and by the protest leaders who used a willing Western media as a platform for an international propaganda campaign in their interests.
J Lam 300 people or more died that june. There is no way to tell really because the Chinese government tried to suppress it as soon as possible. But many eyewitness accounts describe the truth. Students and soldiers slaughtered but your government declares that it was not a massacre... HA Your leader says it didn't happen. And you follow him like a good little pet and listen to everything your government says and believe everything it says when the world really knows what happened.

China 🇨🇳 🇨🇳!!! proud Chinese Canadian originally born in hong kong. Grew up in Canada. Why shouldn't Canada have a better relationship with China? First of all there is a huge Chinese Canadian population in Canada. I lived my life traveling back and forth between the two countries. If you ask me from my own experiences. The average person in China seems happier then most Canadians I see on the streets of Toronto. They have hope and see a bright future for China and their lives. Yes some people spit on the ground and what Canadians consider to be manners, people in China lacks, but cultural difference plays into that too. Flagging down a server in a restaurant is normal in China (or Chinese Canadian restaurants) but consider rude in Canada. Canadians and Americans, basically the West, sees freedom and human rights as their core value. The West is build on Independence and individualism. China sees unity and family values as its core but that doesn't mean they don't have freedom and rights in China. People just don't care about it as much and it's not their first priority.
The best way to exercise human right and freedom is to rise the standard of living of the people. Wealth and development is more practical and effective in giving more freedom to people. Look at the natives, the first Nation in Canada. You can give them the freedom to vote and freedom of expression and speech but other then voting can they really experience the freedoms given to them fully? They don't even have enough gas money to drive out of the native reserves. Some don't even have running water or electricity in their homes. Is that a way to even live in a first world country like Canada? How much freedom do they really have compared to a rural Chinese person who have been lifted out of poverty? Who found a decent job and can now save enough money for a cross country bullet train trip to Hong Kong with their family. And yes China has build a vast network of bullet trains that spans the country build only under 10 years. Talking about 10s of thousands of kms of tracks. Even connecting rural China, places like Tibet, to the rest of China.
Chinese are only 5% of the population, and not all of them are Canadian citizens.

I live in Canada now. But I have been to China many, many times after leaving Hong Kong in 1990. I totally agree with Wang Yi's frustrated retort of that journalist.
來美國快20年了,看著天天罵中國的新聞,說中國要崩潰的輿論。但中國在默默耕耘地建設,人民越來越富有。我覺得沒什麽不好。

China went through a lot! We made huge sacrifices to achieve that, only we know that. The future is bright for us!!
China wants to be succssful civilisation, this cannot be achieved in isolation from other nations, US and UK think they are always going to have tech and military superiority, they don't comprehend that this no longer the case, China is far more advanced then Westren nations know or want to acknowledge, this because of inbuilt cultural racisim in westren mindset. China is expanding recruiting disaffected countries from US such as Pakistan CPEC etc to enlarge marcket, nurture design in technology not just within China but external trading partners. Instead of giving fish to its neighbours, it is teaching them to fish. Wealthy neighbours make good customers, unlike US and west want to drive neighbours into poverty to make themselves feel superior.
Hah!! china brought nothing but misery to the East and South East, I don't care if they are super power country or live longer than any country in the world, and don't respond or ask question in such irresponsible manner? Look who's talking! I saw on RUclips where a mother let her son piss on a subway train! How's that for irresponsible manner!

the interpreter was under a lot of pressure to do this accurately but she did a quite well job. and it's right, I suggest people watch Americans doing videos about China like Nathan Rich.
I saw his videos. They are enlightening
But still, human rights abuse. Just sayin'.

my hats off to the translator, she is 100% interpreting Wang's statement correctly. Much better than Xi's translator to Biden or Trudeau......
Excellent translator : able to convey meanings and intentions without evoking emotions and respectfully to the listener ( reporter)
Doubt that reporter hears anything he said .... as she was beyond her conscience when she brought up such Q's .
The Chinese FM should have asked her about Iraq and Afghanistan
It is a very important principle for every Chinese citizen that we do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, and we will not go against this principle even when the debating scene is conducive to counter the remarks of the other side
Since Confucius days China’s policy to neighbours is to not interfere with their internal affairs.
You understand that she is a reporter not a representative of a country.
So it is pointless to play whatabout with her.
Why? That's America little wang wang was in Canada
And South America or African or just ask them how they build USA or Canada lol
The very same question once from some arrogant foreign reporters were directed at late Mr Lee Kuan Yew (Singapore) many years ago . And guess what was Mr Lee rebuff.. "The fact that I, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, have won 35 elections in Singapore since 1955 and turn this city around from third world to first world standards makes me more qualified to judge Singapore than the foreign reporter who asked that question in this room" ...

Foreign minister Wang Yi is so straight forward, direct and accurate.
False allegations and accusations are unwelcome.
Wang Yi has all the facts at the back of his hand, such as China's constitution mandate on human rights protection.
He reiterated China's openness in accepting constructive suggestions of improvement.
Wang Yi is very experienced, and bro give the interpreter a rise

Congratulations to the typer who quickly typed everything he said for the interpreter to easily and accurately interpret everything that was stated. They both deserve the same credit for doing their jobs correctly. Without one the other couldn't do their jobs as efficiently and vise versa.
Typer? Must be typing like a Superwoman - with Microsoft or Huawei keyboard! She is the best of the best!
it is recorded in an electronic Chinese to English translator, as you know China has a very sophisticated electronics translator in any language

Because she doesn’t know what China is like, clearly based on nothing except a couple of things she may have found online. I’m in China right now and it feels just like being in a western country, but it’s much safer here. There’s too much misinformation out there about China and this journalist is just another one of those who spread false accusations and bs about China.
A few western reporters just say China has human rights issue even if they themselves have never been to China. Go to China and see how this country looks like, then you can say something about it.
粪坑不用起也知道是臭的,懂?

this translator sounds very similar to the one who completed an epic real time translation of almost 20 mins long speech given by a Chinese director in a meeting with U.S in Alaska, this 2 mins one must be a piece of cake for her..
Yeah, the Alaska translator did not miss anything and was delivered in perfect wordings. I do admire their shorthand skill if any was used. I would stand up and tell the minister to hold on until I finished writing (Just kidding)
I think she is the one

Well done China
very well said. Many people confuse arrogance with criticism
You mean criticism with arrogance, since in this case the reference was to the latter
Such a healthy criticism is seen as arrogance only to those never admitting what they're doing is wrong
@@1-yy1tw Wrong, criticism can come in various ways of delivery, what the reporter asked was really condescending way of blaming china directly and borderline sarcasm. that sort of criticism has no goal other than showing who has the biggest ego in the room.
If you want to ask something do it politely and be respectful about it, your personal feelings aside from this matter your job is to report, many reporters nowadays forget about this morality.
