Is the 1st time that I See Hugh not wishing to run away from a talk show... Kudos to Kelly!! She took the interview so well , and Hugh looked happy and pleased 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💜
Ah, this worked in the most awkward way. Sometimes that's best. Kelly was nervous and Hugh didn't help her one bit. But we can watch him grow fond of her as it progresses. Funny.
@alexanderson1193 I'm referring particularly to the interview he gave on the Oscars red carpet in 2023. It went viral. He was not pleasant or professional. Had nothing to do with British culture/humor, he was just not very kind. When you get paid millions, you can put on a fake smile if needed and be professional and courteous while still keeping your boundaries/privacy intact.
I have been a fan of Hugh’s since 1987 after watching Maurice. I saw The Heretic this weekend and he’s amazing! It’s my top two favorite film for this year so far aside from The Substance. It’s an intelligent horror film-loved it! 🤓
Brilliant interview ,just love Hugh Grant and all his movies Iand ,yes Heretic too!:) ,Such a charming unaffected man.Kelly looks beautiful too ,really enjoyed the show ,which we don`t get here in the Uk ,so thankyou for posting for us who usually miss out.X
My God, so many Americans don't get him! People saying he wasn't being evasive/rude/difficult, he never is, he's just got the self-deprecating dry British humour
Easy. The UK has no celebrity worship so for the ones who are not consumed by Hollywood entirely they remember that Hollywood is just a bubble that they sometimes step into and step out of.
Because Hollywood presents actors as godlike, flawless creatures that only exist for our entertainment and most other places just see them as people who work. So fans cross lots of lines and celebrities can’t lead regular lives because they’re constantly under the microscope. In other countries fans might still get a huge crush on a celebrity or stalk them online but they are more likely to understand that they’re normal people with a job - and not puppets. The paparazzi game is also immense in the US, so celebrities have much less time just doing regular stuff as a human being (making them have to put on that fake persona all the time) and even grocery shopping might turn into a spectacle
Hugh Grant was going to Pixar Animation Studios, Hugh Grant wants to perform Fantastic Beasts, Hugh Grant is going to be James Bond 007, Hugh Grant is gonna be a PAW Patrol: The Third Movie and Hugh Grant is going to appeared on 28 Years Later (2025)
Shame she skipped over the Hacked Off stuff, it's a very important campaign here in the UK involving a lot of well known people and innocent victims as he referenced.
KELLY DOES NOT GET INTO NEGITIVE ,CONTROVERSIAL SUBJECTS ! IT ISN'T THAT KIND OF SHOW ! ❤❤❤❤❤ SHE ISN'T LIKE A LOT OF CELEBRITIES WHO PUSH AN AGENDA!!! THATS ONE OF THE REASONS THAT I RESPECT AND ENJOY HER SHOW SO MUCH ❤❤❤
@@de-fume true, and after a quick Google apparently that's because had this happened in the US where Murdoch also owns papers such as the New York Post, the legal ramifications would have been so much worse. Papers over there are beholden to advertisers who provide up to 80% of their profits unlike in the UK, interesting.
This is probably the first time in a long time that I have seen Hugh Grand. I love watching the Kelly Clarkson show, always fun watching her in her element having fun and hearing her sing too.
Omg I love Hugh Grant!!!!! Four weddings and a funeral was amazing and one of my favorites. Along with About a Boy and the one where he’s with Drew Barrymore, so good! Kelly, he’s still hot as ever so I would be flustered too 😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
i don't know what the most people here in the comment have watch but i don't see any difficulty or nervousy in her interview...she is alway a little chaotic
I know right? This seemed like a perfectly fine interview. Americans honestly… everyone has to put on the same performative bubbly smiley act, otherwise something is wrong 🤨
She doesn't have a clue I guess and he had to be very vague about it - the fact is that he had those 5 kids with two baby mamas AT THE SAME TIME. He married the Swedish woman he has 3 with (the other woman is a London waitress apparently).
Spike! Clean up!! 🤣 Remember the t-shirts? Wasn’t one, on the front “You’re the most beautiful woman in the world” And on the back “Fancy a fuck?” as he runs back upstairs.
Great film. The audience scores for Heretic are noticeably much lower than the critics'. I'm sure that's because a good ratio of the general public don't want to hear the arguments against religion presented in it.
@@spellbindery1 Premise 1: Film critics are more likely to be educated. Premise 2: Educated people are less likely to be religious. Conclusion: Therefore, film critics are less likely to be religious. One to discuss!
I saw “Heretic” last week. Grant was good and the movie is worth seeing but I might advise waiting for streaming. I found it to be just a bit too predictable, including the critique of religion, which didn’t really break any new ground, in my opinion. Jordan Peele, Mike Flanagan, John Logan and Joss Whedon and others have raised the bar in horror so a movie like “Heretic” needs to show real originality to break through.
so i watched 2 commericals before i could watch 3 minutes of hugh. outrageous. the skip commercial doesn't work. are they fking me or what. like i really want to buy anything after they invade my space like this unreal. youtube you suck so hard.
I don’t understand what point Hugh Grant was trying to make when he brought up all the similarity of specific things prior to Christianity to Christianity! This is true of ALL Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) and yet he chose to highlight only Christianity. The only reason for doing that would be to belittle and/or question the validity of Christianity. My issue is not questioning it, questioning anything and everything is fine - it is how we find truth and how we grow, but I take issue with the target being only Christianity. It seems to be a pattern with Hollywood.
it's because most hollywood actors are from america and america is heavily influenced by christianity - and less by islam or judaism. People are rightfully annoyed of american christians forcing their believe onto other people or having extreme political influence.
You're over thinking and picking up things that help reinforce and justify your preset views. In the film, the two women knocking on the door are Mormons (who claim theirs is the only true form of Christianity!). So the character is telling them about belief systems other than Christianity and about myths and legends that tell similar stories.
Hugh had multiple kids at the same time cause he was juggling between 2 women And he decided to go inclusive with one of them at the end of the… that’s why he didn’t talk a lot about it
Grant - for some reason - choses this occasion to take a swipe at Christianity for its belief in the virgin birth. But simply because there were pagan images of virgin births prior to Christianity in no way invalidates Christianity - for the incarnation has zero to do with any of those any earlier images or stories. The argument is just a club used by atheists to disparage Christianity. If he chooses not to follow Christ, that is his free choice, but he shouldn't mock others for their choices and certainly not on worldwide TV.
So, there is no such thing as a virgin birth - a gamete from a female must be fertilized by a male spermatozoon, which, until recent advances in medical science, was something that occurred exclusively _in utero._ So why should the biblical account of a virgin birth be considered any more plausible than those contained in 'pagan' mythologies? If you choose to believe in one, but not the others, then that is up to you. However, there is no reason why the rest of us should not consider features of the Biblical story within a broader anthropological context. Hugh notes that some Christians are apt to find such analyses triggering; an observation that you yourself are exemplifying.
Kelly, I’ve observed you for a number of years. You’re good at establishing a no-judgement ground talk but you’re a shitty interviewer. I will explain why. There’s way too much of you in your interviews with guests and too little of them. The whole point of an episode is to invite someone to speak more on their POV.
Apparently you haven't seen other interviews by him with this film....she is engaged and has researched, and he is more open and charmed by her...and actually he looks like he is enjoying this.
It's hilarious how you are talking to Kelly on a RUclips video like she's actually scrolling through the comments 😂 also how many Emmy's has your show won? Lol 😆
I think she's just a bit star struck. It happens. I think she won him over early, but didn't realise it. Interviewing is a tough gig - she should have conversations and throw away the prepared questions and listen to the guests, breathe, relax and enjoy. She needs to watch Graham Norton, he's a master at letting it all just happen. Kelly is a class act.
Is the 1st time that I See Hugh not wishing to run away from a talk show... Kudos to Kelly!! She took the interview so well , and Hugh looked happy and pleased 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💜
then you didn't have seen him at The Graham Norton show...
Kelly interviewing celebrities who are notoriously difficult to interview are always my favorite. Its still difficult but she always charms them lol
Hugh was perfectly patient and charming for Hugh.
that is true😂
Ah, this worked in the most awkward way. Sometimes that's best. Kelly was nervous and Hugh didn't help her one bit. But we can watch him grow fond of her as it progresses. Funny.
Thanks Kelly for bringing it:) Hugh was lovely and I feel like he enjoyed that interview unlike all the others.. Good on you both:)
Lol Kelly was being charmed exponentially in this interview.
She was probably nervous cuz he's normally a tough interview/sarcastic/evasive/moody, but thank god, he was lovely today!
hes not moody. Hes honest. Hes not fake hollywood. The Sarcasm is a mainstay of British humour. Cultural difference

That was a tough interview for Keley. Hugh took pity on her. I think she was Brit Struck!
My most favorite movie of his is Maurice, most people don't know how good that movie was 🎉
Myself & my bestie was visiting NYC to celebrate Halloween 2024 and we was lucky enough to watch this show live at NBC! Was such a fun experience ☺️🤩🩷
Why are British actors and actresses always so earthbound and relatable while American actors seem rather spoiled?
Easy. The UK has no celebrity worship so for the ones who are not consumed by Hollywood entirely they remember that Hollywood is just a bubble that they sometimes step into and step out of.

Interesting interview queen Kelly ❤❤❤❤
The theaters in my area are owned by LDS members so I have to wait for streaming on this one
yep!
lol
She is a good interviewer
*Terrific film!*
I LOVE when Kelly gets star struck!
Kelly looks so young and gorgeous. Of course Hugh is amazing
Heretic is absolutely one of Hughes best films. Another fun movie I admire of his is, 6 months. With Julianne Moore. Hysterical 😂😂
The movie with Julianne Moore is called Nine Months
@gmawneydawgness 9! I forgot. That was my second guess😅
Yeah, brilliant movie!!
Hugh is right Sense and Sensibility the movie is better than the book!
Hugh seems to be too real for Kelly, he put her off her game but she's good host :)
I love Hugh Grant. Even with the notorious reports of him being a grumpy old bastard!
She doesn't have a clue I guess and he had to be very vague about it - the fact is that he had those 5 kids with two baby mamas AT THE SAME TIME. He married the Swedish woman he has 3 with (the other woman is a London waitress apparently).
Hugh Grant is my spirit animal.
😅 fun and entertaining 😊❤

Love Hugh. Kelly, not so much.

I can‘t help myself… i love him 😍
