      @BlōMeSlōLee 15 дней назад +16

      Not exactly. Russia is using outdated equipment and tactics. Trenches aren’t a thing in modern combat because the idea is to be mobile and have your forces strategically spread out. One platoon on the move can cause far more devastation and damage than an entire battalion in trenches. Realistically, the benefit for North Korean troops is getting combat experience. They haven’t fought since the 1950’s, and even then, they got their asses kicked badly until China came to their defense. They desperately need experience from the top down, and they’re getting it, it’s just the experience is on what not to do. But it’s still beneficial experience!

      Let’s assume for a moment that they could build 5-10 bombs. Would they stop in the Kiloton range, or build Thermonuclear bombs? How would they deliver them? Given how “leaky” the frontier around the border between them is, it’s possible they could just bribe their way through , and deliver some weapons via truck.
      If they can get the miniaturization right, they could deliver one via a storm shadow, or even an F-16.

    I thought tanks were capable of driving through fields so why do they always use the roads? The roads are mined. They could put mines in the fields but that's harder to cover when it's a huge area. I suppose there are good reasons though. Maybe it's simply that cross country takes more fuel so they try to conserve. It's just something that bugs me watching tank on some road being blown up.

    • @samueleveleigh2767
      @samueleveleigh2767 15 дней назад +8

      theres a couple reasons. chief among them being that warfare despite appearances has moved on alot from ww2
      tanks are very vulnerable and cant actually achieve that much by themselves anymore which results in them having to work with artillery teams and the air force alot more. to this end there is a world of difference between "i am on x road, and 4 miles away from y junction" and "im in a field, by x road" so they need to stay roughly where their support can find and not hit them
      you also have the very significant chance that if russians started rolling over fields that the Ukrainians can hide either landmines or even full on squads in either the ditches or grass/crop
      and then you have what is actually the opposite of your point, their tanks cant go off road or at least not very well. in particular there have been a good couple cases of russian tanks straight up sinking in ukrainian mud leaving only their turret on the surface and even if they dont sink it still puts a very heavy toll on their very low grade engines letting them get encircled and flanked very quickly and easily.
      so yea a combination of it just no longer being stragetically viable in most cases and the geography being tank hell.

    Everyone on Earth needs to have a reality check regarding the US military. There has never been a military like this in human history. ALL Americans pay a lot for this military. Our military simply cannot be beaten, if the people support it. We have a president elect who would hand that military to Russia. I see more internal resistence to that. The current crop of authoritarians are remarkable for their collective incompetence. I see the same issues with America's republican party. They are far from having a 'mandate.'

    • @halfalligator6518

      Buying US politicians is by orders of magnitude the cheapest way for Putin to wage war. It's disgusting how easy it was for him to do it. It's basically all out in the open. Now we have weird christian nationalist Fox News presenter in charge of the military, and Tulsi in charge of Intelligence... a known Russian sympathizer. Allies will have to stop sharing intelligence with USA. It's a fucking disaster really. Trumps only criteria is to position people who have no morals and are not part of the institutional culture which might try resist his decisions. Decisions influenced by strong man dictators willing to flatter and bribe him. Then we have Matt Gaetz, a sex-crazed edgelord teenage troll as Attorney General??!! . Republicans hopefully vote against some of these appointments. Time will tell if the more constitutional Republicans have any spine left. The alternative is a decline into Russian gangster style politics and a multi-polar de-stabilized world. But don't worry, when disease starts spreading as the climate warms faster - we have RFK and his conspiracies to the rescue!!!

      The Vietnamese and Taliban were vastly inferior to the US army, but the US couldn't beat them. The US military can and has been beaten with guerilla tactics.
      And as the Russia-Ukraine war as shown, even when one side has vastly superior military equipment, they still suffer huge losses and the war is long and grueling.
      I don't know what you mean about the president-elect "handing the military to Russia", Trump has kept his cards hidden as to what he's going to do about Russia. I do know that America's enemies were afraid to F with him; there's a reason Putin waited for Trump to leave office to invade.

    well where i do like this channel, taking Zelinskys words as truth are a big no no for me, if you follow this conflict just remotely, you will quickly see how much the russians are progressing, how the retreating ukrainian soldiers gets orders not to leave positions or never recieve any orders at all, get captured/killed.
    But the biggest lie is how Ukraine counts their losses, they only count those who makes it back as losses, that means those left behind dead ot wounded unable to flee, does not count kinda smart counting when your the one retreating ;)
    Im not saying Russia is telling the truth, but rather take info from both (ukraine and russia) with a grain/shovel of salt.
