Hola James, te quiero decir que tus videos me han ayudado muchísimo! Me matricule en un intercambio a España en el verano y tus videos me han enseñado la belleza del país. Gracias!
I love Spain for their tapas and gastronomy. Is the only country in Europe that can make me feel like home because of the language. I should go more often 😍
I want to say smthg: I lived in madrid for 25 years (my best ones of my near 32) now I live in Zgz, where I was really born, and I’ve compared prices and 🤯 SO EXPENSSIVE!! Come to Zaragoza and try Ámbar beer and any other local tapas as migas a la pirinaica or costillas de ternasco so you can make a comparisson and enjoy differences between other cities. I love your videos, you both are funny and a lovely couple 😊
You guys are so entertaining! Between laughing, drooling from the exquisite food and repeating your Castilian Spanish words- it’s my morning and cocktail hour ritual. We’re heading to Spain & Portugal next spring!
It all looked delicious, but as a Spaniard from the south, it seemed sooo expensive to me! I will take into account when visiting Madrid though, so thanks for the tips
Just came back from Spain and I could only make it to two of the restaurants on this list (Fide & El Doble). The food and drink recommendations were amazing. Can’t wait to go back to Spain and try the others on the list. Than you for the great recommendations.
I’ve learned so much about Spain thanks to your videos. I plan on visiting Spain next month for the first time ever. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your tips and suggestions.
Why oh why was I born in the UK where bar food consists mainly of a packet of crisps, nuts or pork scratching and after drinking all night the best food you can get is a doner kebab that Turkish authorities would say is illegal if it was served in Istanbul
Always look forward to James and Yoli taking us to the best Tapas bars. James, I see your Devour Tours advertisements here in San Francisco, Ca. Great job as always, Thank you for sharing.
Hola! Really good informative and entertaining videos you have, i''ve been watching them during office hours, haha! My sister and i will be travelling to Spain in a weeks time! We are still a bit apprehensive and worried about the Covid situation there, more so on the fact that we are travelling from an Asian country and definitely do not want to cause any trouble at all :) But your videos have made us more at ease and sparked an excitement and an adventurous spirit to explore and immerse ourselves in the Spanish culture and WE CANT WAIT!
No se como llegué a tus vídeos pero ahora es un vicio, no paro de verlos, me ayuda mucho con el ingles !! Una pregunta, que camara usas para tus videos, un abrazo !!
Another amazing video James. Jose and I are here in Madrid right now so we will probably give one or two of these a try. Great job y'all always make me laugh too. 😁
Hello :) I traveled many times in Spain and I'm a big fan of your channel, but I'm kind of surprised by the prices here... are tapas usually that expensive ?
Love your vids! We did three different Devour tours in Barcelona last year and are planning a Madrid trip early next year. Can’t wait to sign up for some food tours!
It wasn't vulgar tuna, but "ventresca" (tuna's belly), wich is the best part of the fish. Google "lata de ventresca de bonito" and you'll see its price. It's quite expensive.
@@RudraDirtTrails when you live here you can considere that price abusive. 15-20 € is a regular price in a restaurant with first class ingredients for a salad. North Spain is where you can eat absolutely fabolus with a lot of good restaurants and a complete collection of Michelin Starred ones. BTW, because of my former job I've travelled Spain and a half and Madrid is one of the worst places to have a drought beer: too much froth, no consistence, poor gas and tiny glasses. Second BYW: usually potatoes go UNDER the octopus so they can get all flavours.

Muy buenos James y Yoly, when I lived in Madrid many years ago, fitting out an Irish Pub in Calle del Principe, 12, we were sitting out the rain in a bar/cafe just outside Sol around Calle Jeronimo/Calle Alcala. It was a bar called Roma or A Roma or something....the streets were awash with the rains and the gutters were full. As the cars dro slowly out of Plaza de Sol they drove waves of water waist high in the direction of the pedesrians. Then something magical happened, the pedestrians fended off the wave of water with a Mexican Wave of their umbrellas...a lasting image of the street life of a city that refuses to be tamed by nature
We will be in Madrid in January. Any advice on where to and not to stay? We plan on staying near the city center. We want to experience the small towns and villages outside of the big city also. Any advice would be truly appreciated! Great videos!!!
Thank you so much James and Yoli for your videos!!! Ohhh.. I'm basque, so you can imagine what food means for me.., I really enyoy your videos, and at the same time, I practice my English listening!!!

Hi James. Appreciate your awesome videos, very informative:) Everytime Im in Madrid or Barcelona I struggle to find which tapas places are open after 12AM, as my flight almost always arrives late. I know most tapas bars close at 12, but some are open and serve food later. Can you do a guide on those? Cheers.

Hey James, I followed your advice and ended up at El Doble, I was very surprised to see that a ración of cold gambas (1/4, about 7-8 pieces) costs €30 there. Hi Nico - there are different types of gambas. The ones you saw at el doble were probably gambas blancas de Huelva. VERY famous and very expensive. The ones at boquerón are cheaper. El doble possibly had the cheaper ones too.
I like, how you explain what's in each dish. That's something, a foreign visitor to tapas bars wants to know. At least, I do. The names of the dishes don't usually tell you much, the more so, if you don't speak Spanish.
