Actually not a fan of the berg, I used to bag one, but I just prefer my harp for overstable upshots. I do love the reko though, k3s for putting and k1s for upshots/drives. In sweden theyre super common in every discshop, and Ive heard theyre pretty available in some places around the world aswell.
I love my K1 Falk. It’s basically a longer range Leopard3, It’s slightly flippyer than the numbers suggest (9,6,-2,1) but it’s a great disc to throw forehand and backhand.
I’ve bagged most Kasta molds for almost a year. The berg is my go-to for any approach shot 200’ and under. It works great for anhyzer flicks and straight power backhands. The Reko was my putter of choice up until recently working in new P2s and some P1s. The Falk and Lots FW drivers are staples in my bag always. Give those a shot on your next test.
You guys should try “mint discs” they make plastics like no other company. Some of their discs are a little more accessible than others. Personally I would love to see a continuation of you guys reviewing smaller disc golf companies.
Their plastics aren't exactly unique; Mint Discs are manufactured by MVP, who has always had excellent plastics & QC. Same with Thought Space Athletics.
Berg has easily become my favorite disc. For me, where it shines is for the forehand approach or short forehand holes. It resists torque way better than other putters I've seen and I can run the basket without worrying about going too long. Eric's forehand upshot was a great example of what I'm talking about.
I have a Kaxe Z and Berg in K1. Both are go-to discs for me. I've had great luck throwing the Berg on anhyzer lines. The 1 glide makes it drop like a rock. And the 2 fade makes it controllable. So you can run those long approaches with an anhyzer and not go far past. It's my primary option out to around 200'.
Seeing this video a bit late. The berg, weirdly enough, has become my putter for inside circle 2. I can trust to run it and not really glide too far past the basket on an airball. Furthermore, it just fits great in the hand. I’ve also been using it for backhand and forehand approaches inside 100. The Kaxe Z I have is much more understable than yours, it’s a K1 soft and flat run. I can flip that thing and just go straight forever- favorite disc right now. If you’re looking for another interesting one, the Lots will flip to flat and penetrate before dumping hard at the end, great medium distance disc for in the woods.
Since I switched to Berg as a main putter I do not experience almost any 3-putts (well am still a rather lousy player, but nothing to blame the disc for).
Svea brought me back to using mids. I had (in terms of distance coverage) a Reko and a beat in K3 Kaxe for quite some time. I did not enjoyed Gote that much, but Svea blew me away. On 60% speed, dead straight 80 meters, I take it...
Kasta Plasts plastics have an amazing feel to them. The Falk can fly really far and Reko is one of my top 3 puters. As a swedish person I love how you pronounce the swedish words. It's great fun. =)
Def a micro bead on the reko! I use k3 rekos for putting and glow k1 for my drives/upshots. The Berg though is by far my favorite short 150 or less forehand disc to just chip up to the basket with out ANY glide or over shoot!
Ive putting with the glow Reko over a year now. I wish my k3 Reko was not k3hard. Been liking my new glow envy too. They both don't turn just putt/fly dead straight.
I love the Berg in the K1 Soft plastic! Noticably less stable than the regular K1, but is just sticks to the ground so fast whenever it lands. The falk was my go to fairway driver for a long time.
Super stoked everyone is getting Kasta goodness! Their plastic is hands down the best. K3 (base plastic) is also fantastic too! All of you are killing me with how your saying REKO. completely wrong. lol Check out the Lots, and the Jarn!
You really need to putt with a K3 Reko. Also, I don't know if a full rip off the tee is doing the Berg justice. It's more of an approach disc that will just sit where you put it. But at least you acknowledge that it's ideally for around 150' out from the basket. Definitely check out the Stal (overstable 9-speed), Lots (stable 9-speed) and Falk (understable 9-speed).
Love the test. I refer to my Berg as the “Plastic Brick.” The Reko has a small bead. The Gote, Svea, Falk, and Lots are also great discs. I’ve got one of every Kastaplast mold and love them all. Try a Berg and a Reko in grippier K3 plastic too.
Haha, black magic from Sweden…😅 My wife love “Svea” an understable mid which she bags several of! My main DD for a long time were a “Grym” in regular K1 such durable and grippy plastic😄 I can totally recommend trying out both of’em. Nice video as always boizz
I enjoy throwing the svea. I have a kaxe z that has made the bag also. Because kastaplast glow is top notch. I have a glow grym that I throw at night only. Watching kastaplast in day is fun to watch. Watching them fly at night is funner.
I bag every mold of kasta besides the gote (just couldn't come to like it) but give a falk, svea, and grym a try! The grym is fairly understable with a big arm but tons of glide! The falk is 9 speed similar to say a valkyrie. And the Svea is a great touch disc its super floaty but a very understable mid even more so than say a meteor!
Berg is my main approach disc as many have mentioned almost exclusively forehand. Anything longer than a step putt and shorter than 150 is perfect. For my throw, I'd say the berg is almost perfectly neutral. I mainly use it on throw in runs straight at the basket, but if I put it on anhyzer or hyzer as needed, it reliable rides that angle into the ground. For reference, if I need fade, I throw an A3, which I really love too.
I know they can be hard to get but you should try their other discs. Try to get k3 plastic too it’s my favorite. I put with k3 rekos. Try the falk, lots, and svea they’re all home-runs
all i can say is you had a max distance line on the luna and a less than stellar throw with the reko and the reko was only 10 ft less. also try the svea for a really nice understable mid and the rask for a REALLY overstable distance driver.
K3 plastic! It’s less stable and beats in faster than K1, but it beats in so wonderfully, feels amazing, and offers great grip. Favorite Kastaplast disc is a K3 Berg. I use it for pretty much everything under 200, including putting.
You should try Rask one of the more unique shaped disc out there. Its a almost like a discmania Tilt that you can actually throw, its fades hard as tilt but not as fast. Its a super usefully utility disc.
I am ashamed to say I have never played the course in Yadkinville. Looks pretty good. I have been looking into a new putter. Enjoyed the video. I'm leaning towards an EV-7 as my next purchase though. Great job guys. 👍👍
I bag all Kasta molds. If you like throwing forehand you need to try the Rask into a headwind and the new Rask Z into a tailwind. They are now my go to drivers. If you don’t forehand as much definitely try the Lots, Falk, and Stal.
Im bagging Berg, Svea, Kaxe Z and Lots currently..I love the plastic of the K1 line/soft.. Thinking on testing out a Järn or Reko since I don´t really have an approach putter
Try out the Falk! It was the first Kastaplast disc i bought (K1 plastic is the TRUTH), and has quickly become a staple in my bag for max distance hyzer flips or turnover shots.
Just was told about your channel and had to check out this video. My bag is filled primarily kastaplast so wanted to hear your thoughts. Lots and Falk are must tries for you guys. Also check out the SVEA. Also for throwing a Berg i would suggest throwing it in the K3 plastic.
We are hoping to do another deep dive into kastaplast here soon. Thoroughly enjoyed the plastic, even bagged a Kaxe Z after this video! A lot of people have recommended the Svea, Lots, Falk, & Gote. Hope you enjoyed!
Grym! Try the Grym or Grym x. Yeah, the Berg is a brick. And that's why it's a great disc for different shots and approaches, like a death putt. Also for headwind.
Love the Kaxe Z! Couldn't recommend it enough! Reko is eh. I'd stick with the deputy personally unless you need an overstable putter then the Luna or the Penrose or the Envy are all great choices!
@@DeepRootsDiscGolf I tried the Luna, Judge, Penrose and still didn’t see the success like I have with Deputy. I have also considered trying the magic or fierce as well
Try the k3 reko for putting! I've tried a bunch of other putters but always gets back to the reko! In k3 that is, haven't got the feel for k1 in that mold
At the 4 month review, I’ve never had more success putting than with deputy and sticking with it. Berg is still amazing approach disc on forehand and backhand. KaxeZ is starting to get flippy on me so may transition out of the bag.
Still using my glow Reko. Shot 4 under today B4 the rain. It was a Little Windy so I putted with my glow envy instead of Reko. 962 rated round according to udisc
Great video! Thanks guys. I am glad you enjoyed my favorite brand. Am wondering whether any of the disc made the way up to some of yours bags. some thoughts... Why no K3? 9:51 Indeed. That's why Berg is so great approach disc. Its main super power is, it is hardly ever long. 😉 btw You really have not tried FH rolls with it?! Missing the fun on purpose? 🤔 For dead straight flying Reko grab a K3 plastic. Or some really beat in. K1 has some fade. But it really helps to throw it flat which you kinda failed completely. Anyway reaching on full hyzer pretty much the same distance as flipped up Luna tells something about the length capabilities of that thing imho... 😜 And yes, it has a micro bead. Upcoming Reko X will have significantly bigger one. For super straight flying disc from Kastaplast, grab a Svea or)Falk or Glow Grym. 2022 Glow drivers are noticeably less stable. My Grym is rather like -2/1 (perfect for my noodle arm speed). Falk is a laser. Glow plastic differs a bit every year prbly due to different amount of the glow stuff used in it as they are adding bit more shine every year.
FALC IS THE ONE!! falc is there dark horse.. me and buddy throw it as far as anything.. its dope.. they picked wrong discs, berg is good.. i just prefer banger gt..
Man get some k3 rekos and your putting will never be the same. that K3 just grips the chains like nothing else. def a micro bead on the Reko as well. I love my Kasta stuff. Their glow plastic is top notch as well (only slightly less glow than the Neutron 2.0). The Grym is probably my favorite disc of theirs. They could use some more molds but can't have everything. Also if you're looking for a trip grab a K1 Rask and check out that weird abomination of a meathook.
Grey video! Was in love with the Berg for like a month. But in the end, I just couldn’t get comfortable with the feel. P.S.: did you guys drop a little stranger things soundtrack in here?
It's wierd hearing these disc being refered to as rare or exotic, they are very common and quite popular in here in Sweden. I guess Kastaplast is not as popular as Latitude64 or Discmania outside of Sweden?
I like some of their discs and dislike some. I putt with Rekos and bag a Kaxe, but I find I almost never throw the Kaxe, so Ill probably take it out. The falk and stål are really nice FDs.
There are two kind of people…
1. those who love the Berg
2. those who never thrown a Berg
Greetings from Germany.

Agreed! The jackalope is a pretty fun disc, nice plastic, reliable turn AND fade
Their plastics aren't exactly unique; Mint Discs are manufactured by MVP, who has always had excellent plastics & QC. Same with Thought Space Athletics.
They are manufactured by MVP so they quite literally do have plastic like another company…
Berg has easily become my favorite disc. For me, where it shines is for the forehand approach or short forehand holes. It resists torque way better than other putters I've seen and I can run the basket without worrying about going too long. Eric's forehand upshot was a great example of what I'm talking about.
Yeah my buddy Dustin is deadly with FH Berg approaches. He puts a lot of anny on them and just floats them in.
You should try one more Kastaplast Disc Svea. Midrange 5 6 0 1 and glide is just awesome.
I have a Kaxe Z and Berg in K1. Both are go-to discs for me. I've had great luck throwing the Berg on anhyzer lines. The 1 glide makes it drop like a rock. And the 2 fade makes it controllable. Took y'all long enough. 😉 The Berg is my #1 approach disc, like others have said, mostly forehand for me. I like a lot of their other stuff, too.

I've always been very interested in the Berg

Kasta is gold…..❤️
Nice video gents. Love Kastaplast. 😀
Kaxe Z, Reko, Berg, Falk all soft are in my bag. Also use Grym X and Stal. My Glow Stal might be the most overstable thing I've ever thrown.
I throw mvp/axiom but have had some K2's, K3's... but the plastics they have now feel great. A couple guys in my club throw lots of Kasterplas
Im bagging Berg, Svea, Kaxe Z and Lots currently..I love the plastic of the K1 line/soft.. Thinking on testing out a Järn or Reko since I don´t really have an approach putter
K3 is some of the most amazing baseline plastic ever. Try the Reko and Berg in it
Svea! Won a CTP using it. Falk...my go-to forehand driver.
I currently use only mvp/axiom. Bought a k1 berg and k3 reko. Now i want every kasta disc in k1
Thanks for that video . Makes me want to stick some different brands in my bag besides discraft 🤔
Nah 😂
Looks like a cool course.
Try out the Falk! It was the first Kastaplast disc i bought (K1 plastic is the TRUTH), and has quickly become a staple in my bag for max distance hyzer flips or turnover shots.
The Falk is good if you want an understable fairway driver.
ive been liking the daredevil discs a lot and wanna try more of them
I have a Rask that you guys can borrow, trade for, have for cheap, etc. It's one of them most unique molds out there.
The grym is my most consistent flip up driver in my bag absolutely need to buy a second one
Work on your reach back and release boys!!!!
You guys should try out the rask and the lots next. Rask is a monster and the lots is over of my favorites off all time

Nathan should try the Steady BL by DGA, very similar to the Luna. You can still grab one in premium plastic off of Ledgestone’s site
So far I am pretty certain on the kaxeZ and berg in adding to my bag. I am on the fence with the reko as I currently putt with the deputy.
Love the Kaxe Z! Couldn't recommend it enough! Reko is eh. I'd stick with the deputy personally unless you need an overstable putter then the Luna or the Penrose or the Envy are all great choices!

Svea/Falk are great ones to try. hyzer-flip city
I bagged the berg have no regrets 😁 also the Järn you should try the Järn👍
I putting with the reko now switched from the nomad it putts really good
Still using my glow Reko. Shot 4 under today B4 the rain. It was a Little Windy so I putted with my glow envy instead of Reko. 962 rated round according to udisc
You see how straight that k1 Reko flew that's why I love it. Luna is the opposite it flips and glides. Reko just drops
What we are all wanting to know is are any of the kastaplast discs making the bag
Zone and Berg is a good comparison. I bag both. Zone for longer or hookier shots. Zone fades harder and skips.
My berg is nowhere near the stability of a zone lmao. I just drops out of the air and I am surprised you guys compared them.
Great video! Thanks guys. I am glad you enjoyed my favorite brand. Am wondering whether any of the disc made the way up to some of yours bags.

it's nearly impossible to buy them in the US. I paid almost double to get a Berg shipped in from somewhere.
"muy serca" 👍
How do I go about getting a hat? I’m a local guy, part of the triad disc golf club
Try the Falk next
