@ yeah Mahomes had way better receivers an an actual competent coach. Allens receivers ranked last in the league at seperation. You tried kiddo but just listing names doesn’t do the trick. Come educated next time lol man
Dan doesn’t understand what Shannon is saying at all. What Shannon is saying is not that mahomes is doing this by himself but by having mahomes you are able to do things that no other coach would think about doing. So on a 3rd and 5 where any other team is trying to play safe and burn clock you got mahomes who can end it right there w aggressive playcalling and be the final nail in the coffin
I think they are arguing past each other but coming from the same place. Shannon's argument at the end about what did Reid and Kelce do with Alex Smith doesn't address where Mahomes would be in the convo if Cleveland or some other defunct team drafted him. Its just the perfect situation, Reid was a coach that was on the cusp with McNabb, and finally finds his star QB and knows how to use him and when to trust him. Mahomes landed in a great spot as opposed to some other team where he would have been beat up and misused/wasted. He has the talent to elevate average players but has also had a reliable target in a HOF TE that syncs up well with him when plays break down. On the other side, he has had Spags that may not consistently have a dominate defense, but knows how to dial up the right plays at key moments and has trained them up to execute those plays, getting Mahomes/Reid the ball to end the game. Mahomes picks up where Brady leaves off, and Brady also had great defenses and reliable weapons to lean on (esp at TE) while elevating average players, just like Mahomes.
@ but that’s the thing about what ifs. We don’t have to worry bout what if he was in another team bc guess what he’s in KC making history. So all we know for certain is all those teams who didn’t pick him passed up on one of the greatest ever. That’s all we do know for certain. All we know for certain is Andy Reid was a pretty good coach who had a long career with Philly and a few years w KC but never had a SB win. Now we know for certain he’s in the mt Rushmore of coaches. He’s gonna finish his career w the second most wins and maybe the second or 3rd most rings. That’s what we know for certain. And all those certainties revolve around mahomes. It can be a match made in heaven but it’s also a guy w 3 Super Bowl wins, 2 mvps, and 5 Super Bowl appearances in his first 7 season as a starter.
@@ricojohnson6351 And the certain thing is also that he did it there, with that coach who was also considered a great offensive mind, etc. Any accolades of Mahomes without Reid is also a what if scenario. So arguing one without the other is the same either way, a what if scenario. Mahomes didn't win the heisman or college championship, he got to KC and had Reid to feed his greatness.
@@FireMrshlBill I didn't really hear much arguing to be honest. I did hear Shay screaming at DO a bunch, cutting him off when he tried to make a point, and avoiding his questions. I'll take Intimidation tactics for 200, Mr. Trebek.
@ correct so there’s nothing to go off for mahomes but what you’ve seen. Which is greatness and history. You’ve seen coach Reid go from the middle part of all time coaches or Maybe even lower middle or somewhere around there to now being at the top right below bill. And mahomes in college individually was still great in terms of number so I don’t really understand that aspect
Nobody is sorry for Lamar so nobody should be sorry for Allen. The Chiefs were the better team at that time just like the bills were the better team in the regular season. You don’t feel sorry for a big, strong, grown man that gets paid millions of dollars to do what he loves, win or lose.
Chiefs were actually the better team they just happened to lose that game but you can’t really bet against them in the playoffs unless they playing a Tom Brady team. He was the only one clutch enough that could handle the pressure against Pat on a consistent basis
He waited too! Spags knew what to do when it needed to happen. Idk how they didn’t change the play or change the protection or something! And that Josh Allen pass was not good. Go watch the over the top replay of the pass, the receiver was OPEN going toward the sideline. He threw to middle and he had to comeback for it

There are at least 10 other QBs who would be having the exact same success with the Chiefs. Mahomes hasn't done anything spectacular lately. His teammates are running wide open, and he has running lanes to scramble without being touched. He's very fortunate to be in the situation he's in.

The media keeps telling us Lamar is the best player in the league undoubtedly, but turns the ball over an unholy amount of times and loses his team the game everytime it matters
DO NOT compare this “drop” to Andrews’. It was a heave of a pass between 3-4 KC players and he was diving to the ground to attempt the catch. Not even close to the routine play Andrews messed up.
Chiefs fan and I agree you can’t hate Kincaid for that he gave a huge effort and he almost ruined our night but that catch you just can’t expect from any TE to catch.
But he didn’t. He calls Brady the GOAT, and whenever him and Skip had it out it was because Brady wasn’t the same at that point. He had some solid numbers but anyone who watched knows that Brady was throwing like 35 times a game and had a low yards per attempt.
Shannon BOLDLY calls Brady the GOAT most times he brings his name into a conversation...and as much as Skipp tries to imply a narrative that some have evidently latched on to, Shannon always gives his respect and does not diminish any of Brady's accomplishments
@@ElroiLoisWRONG. Shannon's clearly glazing Mahomes and argues as if he's already the GOAT over Brady. Last time I check if you asked if a player wants 7 superbowl wins over 4 and a 3 peat, EVERY player is going to say 7.

And they stopped them on crucial 4th down and 2pt att. If you watched the game the cheifs defense made the bills earn every single yard. The bills had 20, 3rd and 4th downs that's how you know the defense made the offense try as hard as possible.

Yeah, ppl complaining about refs are absolutely trying to minimize what chiefs are doing. Calls call both ways every game. There were multiple missed calls on this game that went the Bills way. Shannon is right.
Ur glazing tf out of mahomes. Every game chiefs they get calls that favor them in crunch time. That was not a catch on worthy it literally hit the ground in 50/50 possession and Allen crossed the line on 4th
The difference is Josh Allen play error free football and is neverthe reason they lose. It just so happens that the chiefs make 1 or 2 more plays and they win. In the case of Lamar, his errors are the reasons they lose. Against KC in the season opener he misses wide open throws and then throws a bad ball to likely which made him have to make a difficult catch. Against the bills he threw a pick and had a terrible fumble.
I will say i do understand where shannon is coming from, when the patriots beat the seahwaks everyone said "brady beat the legion of boom, superbowl mvp" the quarterbacks always get the praise, so he is saying they must give the same credit to Mahomes
As a Chiefs fan it gets old every time that we win or do something great it’s the the officials or we are lucky or this and that … you know what would have helped the bills … not failing on 2 - 2pt conversions … not allowing 2 huge special team returns to a undrafted rookie and not throwing up a desperation throw and have your guy drop it midfield … I didn’t see anything last night that made me feel the Bills were better and we were Worse … haters gonna hate while we in New Orleans!!!!!
I hate your team and wanted the Bills to win, but you are 100 percent correct! Bills fans need to stop scapegoating refs and take some self accountability on terrible play calling and address the holes in their defense. It's amazing that that kept the game that close with the major errors that they made when it mattered most.
Brady was minimized as a system QB up until this 5th or 6th SB win. But people still minimize his talent actually, and of course he never did it by himself. He had a great defense, a well coached and well disciplined cast around him, and consistent, and of course huge talents at many positions. But he’s still the GOAT, and will be for a few more years at least.
I did not have to hear that "Peyton was better" for many years, then "Rodgers is better" and then "Mahomes" for the last stretch of his career to be gaslit by people like you now.
@@Sully800 The thing about Brady wasnt talent as much as intelligence. 4:11 This is a start to a professional sports career that we've never seen & may never see again. Patrick Mahomes has been an NFL Starting QB for 7 seasons & been to 5 SuperBowls. That means if next season Patrick Mahomes & KC go to their 8th straight AFC Championship & lose in regulation, it'll be the worst finish to a season for Mahomes as an NFL starter considering his other 2 AFC Championship game losses went to Overtime. That's incredible. No, KC would not be doing this with just any QB, Andy Reid was 1-4 in the 4 playoff appearances before Mahomes. He could decide to retire after this season & will be a slam dunk first ballot Hall of Famer. Nobody says you have to root for him or even like him, but this generational greatness we are seeing should be respected.
I find it hilarious how sports media always downplays Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs like they havnt been to 5 of the last 6 Superbowls. From a Brady fan, what Mahomes has done in his first 7 years is more impressive than what Brady did in his first 7 years. I still think Brady is the GOAT. Longevity goes into being the GOAT, time will tell how long Mahomes keeps this up.
Shannon didn’t change his perspective. He just knows Brady isn’t the one who carried the team, it was the defense and coaching. But he feels Mahomes is the one carrying the team. That’s why he brought up Reid and Kelce not being the GOAT until Mahomes came in the picture because he’s the one that elevated everyone. Also, longevity doesn’t equal GOAT. That’ll be like saying LeBron is the GOAT over Jordan.
@ Shannon switches up, remember he said belichick didn’t need Brady to win but when belichick started losing with Mac jones and Tom winning a Super Bowl he changed his assessment that Brady was the reason they won
Shannon is kinda right… with the Malcolm butler interception, they talk about how Seattle should’ve run it, not his great awareness to read the play. It’s about time people realize that TB had a great great deal of help
The problem here is that pundits like Dan O. went too hard against Lamar Jackson when he lost a game and now they are reluctant to do the same for Josh Allen. I honestly think at some point both QBs will beat the Chiefs. Just not this year. Now it's on Hurts. He's already lost a SB to Mahomes and the Chiefs. Will they be on his case saying "he just can't win the big one!" if he loses? Probably. It seems to work like that until you break through and win it.

Actually it was Ryan Clark who started the race war last year when after losing to the Chiefs he told Josh Allen to "go smoke your stats at home in a hookah".

1. I don't feel, nor did I say, that this was about race at all. This is about favoritism. Guys have their favorites for whatever reasons. I don't assume a guy's favorites are always about skin color, and neither should you.
2. If true, that Ryan Clark quote was horrible AND corny. But racial? I don't think so but you may know something I don't. I'm black and I've had my hookah since 1998...it's at home too.
Shouldn't feel sorry for Josh Allen....but u want us to feel sorry for Lamar,...we see u 25.....smh
Keep that same energy for Josh allen that y’all do for Lamar. He is 0-4 against mahomes in the postseason 💯
Lamar isn't even talked about. He proves to be a bottom below Mchomes and Allen 😂
@ can’t be a bottom with 2 mvps bouta be 3 idk what league u watching
@@LenDD-e4tlol at you trying to sneak Allen in mahomes level😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@bryantshelton3998 saying Allen in the same breath as Allen is CRAZY. They trying to make Allen an icon for doing nothing 😂
@@LenDD-e4twe need to stop putting Allen and lamar in the same convo with mahomes because they are both below him....we need to really talk about who out of lamar Allen and bourow is going to break through.....and who is the best out of those three...well right now it's lamar solely because he has the mvps..
Mahomes is a great player, but what makes him unstoppable is Andy Reid & Spagnuolo. That’s a deadly trio & if they stick for next decade, Chiefs will represent AFC in Superbowl every freaking time.
It's not even Mahomes. His receiving options were running wide open all game. If you put Josh Allen on the Chiefs and Mahomes on the Bills, the Chiefs still would have won the game. Chad Henne proved a few years ago that anybody can be the quarterback of that team because there's so much talent at the other positions.
Yep. Sharp is delusional. The chiefs coach circles around the bills.
And the refs
@@RobbieStacks90 people don’t understand this lol. Yes mahomes is good but there is literally someone wide open every play it doesn’t matter who they have 😂
The fact Spags is the best DC in the NFL but no one wants him as HC is a cheat code for them they have best offensive play caller and defensive play caller best coaching staff in NFL history
Even in a loss and being 0-4 against mahomes, josh Allen gets glazed. They never let Lamar off the hook the way they do for Josh. 0 mvps smh
That's literally because Lamar is about to have 3 MVPs and Josh has zero. Of course multiple time MVPs are held to a higher standard. 3 MVPs and can never get the job done. That's ludicrous.
They also completely let Lamar off the hook this year. Everyone is head hunting Mark Andrews while handwaiving Lamar's pick, fumble and redzone sack.
Please stop embarrassing yourself, man.
@@Mije101-bz8phnot gonna disagree with you about the mvps, all I’ll say is if Lamar loses it’s always “will he EVER get it done? Is he the ultimate choker? What’s his legacy?”
When it’s Josh it’s “he played so well, we feel so bad for him, hes a HOF player, every year it’s not his fault”
I mean cmon man, I get Lamar might have a higher standard- but Josh has an empty resume and they treat him like he’s one of the best QBs of all time…
Lamar plays worse in the playoffs. That's why Lamar gets more criticism than Josh Allen.
@@Matthew-xl5bcLamar played better than Josh this entire postseason
@Matthew-xl5bc Lamar outplayed Josh in the regular season AND the playoffs
