  • The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills 32-29 to advance to their 5th Super Bowl with Patrick Mahomes. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes ask if there was ever a doubt that the Chiefs would win this game, and if it’s surprising that Josh Allen didn’t come through on the potential game-winning drive.

    One thing I see almost nobody talking about is how impressive Joe Thuney has been. He’s a Pro Bowl LG and moved to LT because that was a major weak spot for the Chiefs. Now, Pat has time to scan the field and play his game. One of the unsung heroes of the Chiefs

      Which is huge because they got killed by the Bucs at the line of scrimmage in the Super Bowl. Every superbowl Brady lost was the same issue. That front four causing pressure. If eagles want to win they have to win at the line consistently.

    This is by far the best sports debate show. It is actually the only show I can listen from start to finish, not because of their takes, but because of their chemistry. These 3 can argue and be civil in a respectable. It genuinely feels like all three of them respect each other's opinions and it doesn't seem like they are trying to one up each other. They are here to actually discuss sports and not prove who is the smarter one.

    I'm curious if Chiefs fans can acknowledge how incredible it is they haven't lost their coordinators to HC jobs. Even moderate success almost always leads to that. Let alone unprecedented success. All thoes years they didn't lose Biennemeny, and then even that was a lateral move to Washington. And I know, you'll say Spaggs had his chance. But guys get second shots all the time. (Dan Quinn, Raheem Morris, Josh McDaniels).
    Meanwhile; Lions, both coordinators are gone. Buccaneers, losing OCs consecutive off-seasons. Last time we had Eagles v Chiefs, Philly lost both. 49ers and Rams loses them left and right. KC is an exception in this norm. Or am I wrong?

    • @kylekatarn5964
      @kylekatarn5964 11 дней назад +11

      I think the staff recognized how rare their opportunity is/was with the Chiefs and they aren't willing to leave this kind of juggernaut without some contingencies from their destinations.
      To have this kind of talent pool and roster with this much buy-in shows how strong the bedrock of their culture is in KC.

      Spags was 11-41 as an HC with the Rams and Giants. I think, at age 65, he is content with being in the background, cashing checks, and winning rings. Nobody is really going to remember his time as an HC, but he will be considered one of the best defensive minds ever. Nagy is taking a break, winning rings, and will probably go up for an HC position again once the dynasty starts crumbling.

    The thing I noticed about the Bills and really the Ravens also is that they become different teams in the playoffs. In the regular season they are carefree wide open attack offense. In the playoffs they contract and become bland and predictable on offense. The choking is incredible. I think it’s the energy of the coaches. Andy Reed comes off as a boss whereas his counterparts just show nervous Nelly energy.
