Disclaimer I haven't watched this show, nor read the comic this info is from. My knowledge about comic lore is vast, incomprehensible and incredibly spotty. I find it interesting that Amanda's daughter is calling her out, as Amanda's children are the reason she is the way she is. Amanda lost a son to murder and a daughter was brutally assaulted, I think if the daughter survived and if the assault was s---xual in nature changes in version to version. This kinda leads to Amanda having a reverse origin of Batman. Batman is a child who lost his parents and wants no one to feel the way he does, sometimes there is a little detour into revenge or a harsh crack down on crime, but ultimately he ends up feeling some sympathy towards his rouges due them often also being victims. They are still the people he wanted to save even if now he has to save others from them as well. He looks at his rouges and sees himself. Amanda is a parent who lost her children and she wants to destroy any threat towards her remaining. She has no sympathy because she doesn't see a part of herself in them, she sees everyone else as a liability towards her group. She doesn't see herself in the villians, she sees her daughter's attacker and her son's murder in them. So having her daughter who experienced the same events and traumas denounce Ananda is interesting. Especially if she isnt the sibling of the attacked daughter, but the attacked daughter herself.

This is how you can tell the writers don't know anything about political ideologies. Fascism and libertarianism are polar opposites. You can't have protofascist libertarianism. It would be like having pagan monotheism. One of the core texts of libertarians was pubished by hayek during ww2, and entire attack on fascism
Idk if ur American, but either way you should know that in America like three people at most identify with the writings of libertarian philosophers. For basically everyone else in America, Libertarian just means Republican-lite, like dudes who really love Reddit

Even in America people who identify as libertarian want the government to get the heck out of everyone's private business and leave them alone, so "fascist libertarian" is still an incoherent concept.

There is a college student Libertarian conference every year with over 7,000 student delegates. There are many libertarian orgs and more. And no, Libertarian isnt republican lite, there are many factions of libertarianism, and some lean right and some lean left (like last years LP candidate). Further if you knew anything, 15% of Economists with PhD's in America identify with Libertarianism on economic issues.

Fascist and libertarian are no where near synonymous. Would’ve sounded better (made more sense) saying anarcho-libertarian because those both believe in anti-government. Good show but the writers got that 8th grade education in socio-politics.
