The more I see this stuff, the more I hate waterslides because of my claustrophobia😢😢😢😢😢 *Disclaimer:* I don't hate waterslides completely it's just that if I were to get stuck, I would have a panic attack which I completely hate, which is why I go on water slides that are not tubes because those exact panic attacks could get me killed in a waterslide. I as well stay away from any carnival fun houses that are mirror mazes since that can as well cause the attack to happen. I'm not saying all claustrophobic people have this for all closed spaces, I'm just talking about ones that can confuse you or make you feel unsafe types of closed spaces.

I think the majority of tube slides are designed to have hatches in spots where there is the possibility of this happening. So also look for a potential hatch. Water park employees use radios to communicate when someone is going down and when someone has come out the other side. If they get no signal to allow the next person, they know something is up and they typically send someone to look for you in those problems spots.
I don't see the operator talks to anyone, or anyone on the bottom, but something does trigger a indicator to tell the operator on the top to send the next rider down.
I actually have a fear of being trapped after my friend locked me inside a room with no handle from the inside. So watching this almost made me have a panic attack
Best advice, check if the slides have exit hatches. Waterparks that actually work by the book have obligatory hatches at critical points where escape would be difficult if the patron comes to a stand still.
Engineering student here: thats not physically right! One of the only ways a water slide would get 100% filled would be if someone closed it at the bottom exit. So you just gotta float there until the water brings you back up (you are less dense than water because you breathe air). In every scenario, just try to stay calm, don't go further down, and let the water bring you back to the surface. And thats considering the weight of the water won't open the slide and youll do a massive splash coming out at the bottom. Id be glad if you could correct the video, because it's very inaccurate 😅. Unless you are talking about a water slide thats basically horizontal, then you have that possibility, but i have never seen a horizontal water slide, as theyre no fun and you cant actually gather speed.
For people worried about this happening many water slides have emergency side exits if you get stuck if you do not emerge at a certain point in time for them to send the next person down. This is also used for employees who might accidentally slip and fall down the slide as well
Pro tip :- the upper parts of the slides are mostly dry so best is you dry your hands and try to push through it like a lizard since it's made of plastic it'll work well
I don't think this is possible, as waterslides may have a slight uphill at some points but not such a bend that drowns you. And at those points there are usually escape hatches.

I got stuck in one once… it was on the wonder of the seas and it was because I wore a shirt because I didn’t feel like walking shirtless through a boat or getting a normal shirt wet and I didn’t think to take it off before going in. So just dont wear a shirt or dont be a big back and you should be good to go
