I've seen this movie tons of times, but I never noticed this. Right before they run away, one of the guys says "Es El Diavolo" - "It's the Devil". Pretty clever way to hammer in the movie's point that even a good guy like Bruce can be corrupted with almighty power. That and its ironically funny since he's literally god here.
The gang is being a typical obnoxious street gang while Jim Carrey is just being himself. They’re being obnoxious while he’s just being his typical funny self.
