I prayed for patience once and God gave me the opportunity to learn it. I was changing to a new job and right before I left the old one I asked God for patience going into this new role. He postponed me starting that new job for 3 months (glitch in their hiring process) in which time I had the stress of bills without a paycheck, unreasonable expectations from people around me, donated time at a church thrift store dealing with customers, and the loss of vehicle I really didn't need. In the end, God gave me patience. After that, I started asking for blessings instead. :) LOL
A lot of people say that the depiction of God in this movie isn't the one in the Bible and other holy books. That may be true. But this is the God we want to be true, that we want to believe in. One who understands us, loves us, and wants nothing more than to help us find our own way to happiness. I have a lot of problems with God from the books, but this God I could worship with a full heart.
Lots of people here think God loves them 😂 we're just a crop to Him. If we go bad, he's not gonna heal us, he's gonna burn it all down and start again.

I myself am an atheist, but I believe in the good in people and of humanity. I love movies like this because they promote love and patience and kindness....all of which the world is sorely missing on the whole.
I’m not active in any religion but these words are still pure beauty! The writers deserve way more credit than they got for all of Morgan freeman’s quotes in these films!
Accept in the context of everything in the story of Noah’s Ark, it’s all bulls**t. He talks about the story being about togetherness and stuff. He scoff off the whole “people think it’s about gods wrath and anger” when that’s totally what it was about. Oh sure, god was trying to teach us about togetherness while he was committing genocide on the world. Bulls**t writing from a dusty book to a movie screenwriting.
I've seen this Movie when I was 12, but understood these words only when became 27 Tears come every time, because it is so strong and deep. Only Devil will give you something for free, that you dont need to prove that you deserve it. This is balance, all those rich people who had a heritage from rich parents, or those who mained Bitcoin, or others who think that they got lucky, they just got a curse. Because in their mind idea of easy money will stay like as a narcotic. Believe me that best feeling of pleasure becomes when you know that you deserve it.
Now THAT is a good story. If the religiously inclined would use this kind of possible explanation (not KNOWING all the answers) I'd probably actually listen.
"Parting your soup is not a miracle. It's a magic trick. A single mom who's working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that's a miracle. A teenager who says "no" to drugs and "yes" to an education, that's a miracle" I'll always remember that quote. The movies' portrayal of God and his role in people lives is so on point.
Basically what God is saying is that nothing is given for free, even if you truly deserved it. You got the power to do it and that’s the greatest strength that each and every one of us have is to be patient, courageous and the opportunity to love one another.
I knew a man like this. He was the doorman at a movie theater in Redlands, California, he'd worked there for decades. Elderly black gentleman, kind to everyone, greeted everyone with a smile like he knew you already, held the door for you, awesome storyteller, too. And yes, his name was Al.
As a Christian, that last part about the opportunity to resist sin its great, i think about how i pray to God to help me resist temptation, and i assume it is in the form of just suddenly my mind not being tempted, but its more than that, i have to find God and get through the temptations with Him, not just Him getting through it for me
People get angry with God all the time, mostly because they don't understand the things He does. But a few minutes actually with Him, the anger would melt away.
God was merciful to the people of Noah's day and even gave them the opportunity to join Noah and his family on the Ark...it was their fault that they didn't listen.
WOW! Amazing that I saw this while Iam out of work and I am frustrated with no patience. Why at this moment in time would I see this. Morgan says "God gives us the opportunity for patience" I now have a better way of looking at life and all tht we have. This is AMAZING!

:) LOL
I’ve never seen this movie and this literally made me cry. A grown man crying
Love this so much. It’s so true. We don’t think about this.
I have a lot of people to serve. Amazing line!
Sometimes when we fail we blame god, but he gave us the right path often times we choose to not take it.
Tears are drop from. My eyes 😊😍
Jesus are everything in my life!
That's the inherent beauty of the wisdom of The Lord God. He doesn't punish us but rather allows us to live with the outcome of our decisions. Free will. Other than the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, our free will is one of the best things given to all of us by our creator. As always, all praises to the Lord God in the highest.
God's big wisdom is from another dimension that is far above our 3-dimension world.
Dennis Wong well said.
Both this movie and the Bruce Almighty version were amazing. Very respectful to God and depicts him in a way that shows grace to all, just as in real life.
For those who did not watch the movie, earlier in the movie she prayed to God for their family to be closer. Which is why she reacted that way to that line. This movie did have a lot of quotable lines.
Sometimes the best messages come from the most unexpected places, who'd of thought that a movie like this would have a lesson that could impact anyone in any situation.
Praise God even when I don't know what to do with my life or fail to see his purpose for me ...
This... is relevant to me.
Well, I'm an atheist, but if you like to take the message from this clip, it's that god has no purpose for you. God gives you opportunities to have a purpose. It's your choice to take them or not. And I'm sure you made a lot of choices in your life. Take the opportunity.
I myself am an atheist, but I believe in the good in people and of humanity. I love movies like this because they promote love and patience and kindness....all of which the world is sorely missing on the whole.
I don’t know why but this scene always hits hard
I’m not active in any religion but these words are still pure beauty!
The writers deserve way more credit than they got for all of Morgan freeman’s quotes in these films!
Accept in the context of everything in the story of Noah’s Ark, it’s all bulls**t.
He talks about the story being about togetherness and stuff. He scoff off the whole “people think it’s about gods wrath and anger” when that’s totally what it was about.
Oh sure, god was trying to teach us about togetherness while he was committing genocide on the world.
Bulls**t writing from a dusty book to a movie screenwriting.
It’s been 7 years and this only just showed up now? What an amazing scene
I've seen this Movie when I was 12, but understood these words only when became 27
Tears come every time, because it is so strong and deep.
🥲
Still brings tears to my eyes every time I see it... God rocks!!! and so does this movie.
Now THAT is a good story. If the religiously inclined would use this kind of possible explanation (not KNOWING all the answers) I'd probably actually listen.
If God ever spoke to me, I'd expect Him to sound like Morgan Freeman. Really, the man is the perfect fit for the role :D.
"Parting your soup is not a miracle. It's a magic trick.
A single mom who's working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that's a miracle.
A teenager who says "no" to drugs and "yes" to an education, that's a miracle"
I'll always remember that quote. The movies' portrayal of God and his role in people lives is so on point.
The lines are amazing. Kudos to the writers
Either you drop your jaw watching this or you cry. ❤️ Gods love it’s incomparable.
this is one of those films that gives you that warm fuzzy feeling, a rare genre these days
Basically what God is saying is that nothing is given for free, even if you truly deserved it. You got the power to do it and that’s the greatest strength that each and every one of us have is to be patient, courageous and the opportunity to love one another.
I adore mr. Freeman. Nobody could have played this better.
I’m am not scared to admit that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
Amen
Am I the only one who cries every time I watch this clip?
No you're not!
I would eat at thst place. Great service.
If God made you in His image, then you are capable in ways only He can fathom. ❤🙏 Pray, obey, and be fulfilled
I knew a man like this. He was the doorman at a movie theater in Redlands, California, he'd worked there for decades. Elderly black gentleman, kind to everyone, greeted everyone with a smile like he knew you already, held the door for you, awesome storyteller, too.
And yes, his name was Al.
nice
1:30....that’s the deepest thing I’ve ever herd in my entire life 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 god damn! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love this scene and Morgan freeman did a a marvelous job in this movie as well as "Bruce almighty".
I'm pretty sure...
she's NEVER going to get any better fries and breaded fish than the ones she just got...from God.
To be fair, the breaded fish and french fries were probably just cloned from the ones made in the kitchen.
"These are dry"
"God gave you the opportunity put ketchup on it."
@@CaptainAmaziiing good one
@@CaptainAmaziiing God didn't make Gordon Ramsey cry; he gave him the opportunity
that isn't fish...it's fried chicken. But I did notice he replace the lemons, too.
As a Christian, that last part about the opportunity to resist sin its great, i think about how i pray to God to help me resist temptation, and i assume it is in the form of just suddenly my mind not being tempted, but its more than that, i have to find God and get through the temptations with Him, not just Him getting through it for me
This was a well written script for this scene. I am suddenly enlightened with opportunities in my life! 😊🙏
My Pastor use to say, “God may not show up when you want, but he’s always on time”
People get angry with God all the time, mostly because they don't understand the things He does. But a few minutes actually with Him, the anger would melt away.
I mean, if god gave me an opportunity to be courageous by putting me in a horrible situation like an illness, I wouldn't be 100% happy with that.
God! Please give me my refill without anyone seeing! Amen.
I'm not religious by any means but that speech about opportunities really got me
God was merciful to the people of Noah's day and even gave them the opportunity to join Noah and his family on the Ark...it was their fault that they didn't listen.
I got a lot of people to serve. If only our politicians would think like that.
Most are self serving. Just want to become wealthy at taxpayers expense. Not mentioning any names. One sounds like Fancy Baloney. Not alone though.
this always puts happy tears in my eyes I'm a believer in god and heaven.
This scene makes me cry..I love you God..
God can’t instantly make someone patient/loving/closer to their family because he can’t manipulate freewill
Just like he said in the first movie.
this is way too damn good of a scene/acting job to come from a movie like this lol
I have long thought about this scene..very well written and so thought provoking.
I literally cry whenever i watch this scene
WOW! Amazing that I saw this while Iam out of work and I am frustrated with no patience. Why at this moment in time would I see this. Morgan says "God gives us the opportunity for patience" I now have a better way of looking at life and all tht we have. This is AMAZING!
There are so many people who think this was an inferior sequel to Bruce Almighty, but for me, Evan Almighty was the far better film... and this was one of my favorite scenes.
The one who looked at the casting on the first film of this series of films... "I think Morgan Freeman would make the best choice for god".
Thank you to that person because his calming voice... It is just perfect.
'AL - MIGHTY' His name's on the tag he wears.. just in case you didn't notice! 🍷
Great spot!
Thanks, I couldn't make it out. I knew it would be something good.
My byakugan you're right!!!
Morgan is amazing!!!❤
Beautiful scene. God knows his plan for Evan is causing friction with his wife so he goes and deals with her to help him out, and manifests some good looking food in the process. :)
That has to be one of the... if not THE most delicious basket of fried fish and French fries ever... God himself created it. Even gave her generous portions!
The best scene of the movie. I can watch this non stop.
God gives us opportunities to take an opportunity
Morgan played it so well that no other person can match him playing god
