I purchased the Córdoba GK Studio Negra...just a wonderful Guitar no Cons or bad things to say whatsoever, I’ve owned mine for about 3 yrs now. Love it!
I have the C12 with the lattice bracing and the raised fretboard and it is an amazing guitar. Got it Christmas 2020 as a present from my wife and I can't stop playing it.
Stumbled across this video while researching guitars to purchase. Just like to say to Chris, it's been really useful. Relaxed, clear presentation style's really spot on. I'm a bit far away to buy one from you guys, UK not US, but I appreciate your help. Cheers!
I haven't owned a classical guitar until a year ago. I luv it. I picked a Washburn. IF you can't afford a Martin buy Cordoba! My Washburn I can play Willie Nelson style.
I’ve had my c5 for a while, time really unlocks a gorgeous tone that I find better than new c10 and c12’s. Also that’s an interesting take on classical gas👍
@@luc5798 Not new though. My c5 has a very warm and open tone. Since those 3 months passed from my comment my c10 sounds significantly cleaner and louder but still lacks in something my c5 has.
@@Pugrug. I just got a brand new C9 parlor. It sounds great, and infinitely better than my old guitar with only a massive top... You can feel that the whole guitar is vibrating. A full sound, with deep bass in spite of the parlor size!
Best video ever. Id like even more explaining on their product lines and categories and what exzctly makes a 45 a 45, and why the mr, co, ltd are all 45z
You say ahhhh quite a bit, that is a habit. Just some feedback to keep the attention of your viewers. Well done on your comments about the different guitars.
Currently I have Cordoba C10 and looking to upgrade it to Cordoba C12. Because I don't have chance to test it before buying, I am wondering is the difference big enough to spend additional money and upgrade my C10? Will I feel major difference or just minor one? What is your advice?
Hmmm. The guitar you have right now is already a very good guitar. You can play all types of music and it will sound great. Most laypeople will not notice the difference between the C10 and C12 but that doesn't mean there aren't any. A high quality guitar like the C12 is going to have a LOT of little details that make it more playable and improve the sound. I would recommend you have someone play you a recording of both without telling you which us which. If you think one sounds significantly better than the other then it would be worth it to get that one.
Thinking of upgrading my C7 myself. From what I read the C12 is not much better than the C10. Bradford of thisisclassicalguitar has a nice review of the C12. Check out the Pavan TP30 also. .
@@ralfybaby Yes, thanks for reply. Indeed, I had chance to compare these two guitars. Actually C12 has much lauder sound, but I prefer warm and well-balanced sound of C10. So my conclusion is that it may be good idea to buy C12 if you just going to your first expensive guitar, but no need to spend additional 500-1000 USD for upgrading from C10. After C10 master series (Hauser, for instance) may be good choice, (f you are rich enough, of course :))
is the cordoba c1 hard to play because it comes with high string tension? i plan to get her or the yamaha c40. which is better and easier to play. which is softer
Can someone advise about the fusion 12 and if the thinner neck impacts your ability to play intermediate-ish classical guitar pieces, e.g. cavatina... i.e. are the strings too close together and does the radius hinder you in any way? If so would you recommend the GK studio over the fusion 12 for playing actual classical guitar songs?
Chris. I am just now checking out this video since I am thinking about picking up a nylon. I like the a Fusion especially the way you described it. I will check out your other video on this but is this a solid Euro spruce top and laminate back and sides? I didn’t know if anything has changed on the fusion guitars since you made this video?

Which cordoba would you recommend for an adult with small chubby fingers and is in wheelchair and also doesn't know any of the electronic stuff you mentioned some have? I like the built in tuner but not the other stuff
Well I'm not sure about the Yamaha NX1 guitar, but the Yamaha NX Series is great! The equivalant to the cordoba in that line would probably be the NTX700C! They have a little difference in sound, so I would recommend you listen to both and decide for yourself. However a noticeable difference between the two is in the frets! The Yamaha has 22 playable frets while the Cordoba only has 20(The G and D are not playable on the 21st). If those extra 2 frets are a big deal for you I would recommend the Yamaha.
@@AlamoMusic watch out for the string spacing. Lots of complaints on line about Yamaha NT line. Though they use the “crossover” nut width (1 7/8 inches), apparently they crowd the strings together, leaving a lot of space between the E strings and ends of the fretboard. Very noticeable difference between the string spacing on the Yamaha NT line and, for example, Taylor’s nylon string guitars (such s the Academy 12N and the 214Nylon). I’m looking for a crossover, and now I always ask what is the string spacing at the nut (if I can’t try it out at a store).
