Firstly, they dont leave it in for that long. Secondly, the needle is way shorter. And lastly, it doesnt hurt at all. Dont be worried. Its going to be fine. Its nothing to worry about and doesnt hurt at all
I love watching this video so much. It reminds me of when I was little. I went into the doctor room myself there were these two doctor ladies one was English with black hair. One was Spanish with blonde hair. The lady with black hair told me to not look at the needle and look at her and she holding my hands and when I was done, she said she’s very proud of me. I loved that very much, it’s a good memory
I got over mine by: 1. Look away 2. Completely relax the arm arm receiving the vaccine. Pretend it's paralyzed. This makes the needle slide in much easier. People don't do this step and that makes the injection painful. 3. Completely tense your opposite arm. Your brain will think your tense arm is going to get poked and you don't even notice when the needle goes into your relaxed arm.

Yeah, a lot of people die from the flu every 12 minutes, it is important to get a flu shot so you don't get the flu. Seems like the nurse entered a bit too inferiorly. Proper zone is between the AC to above the axilla -about 2.5-5cm cm below the acromioclavicular joint. Nurse should have also pulled out the deltoid muscle to minimize accidental trauma to neuro-vascular structures, and also aspirated the syringe to ensure the needle did not penetrate the posterior circumflex humeral artery or axillary nerve. CNN should re-do this video.
Aspirating is no longer considered best practice. There is evidence of muscle damage with aspiration. The CDC has officially stated that aspiration is not necessary for deltoid or thigh injections. I also find the injection placement to be appropriate.
no she did it correctly without aspirating the syringe and also it had to be fully inferior to the brachii of the biceps to ensure that the axillary artery is exposed within the needle and inserted the vaccine into the blood vessel
