Seeing Starship in a belly flop again will bring a tear to my eye. It's been too long since the hops! This video is simply fantastic. You can be really proud of your work!
What always gets me is the roar at lift off. That sound is the loudest ever produced by humans, aside from explosions. How gas pressure simply shattered a many meters thick slab of the strongest concrete known to man (IFT-1), is beyond me, and I can imagine a hell of a lot.
sadly even if it succeeds this time we won't see crap, it's splashing down in the Indian Ocean and I doubt there are SpaceX fleet elements on hand to film
This is one of the better animations I have watched over Starship flights. The attention to detail was amazing. I wish this had more views and you were better known, but all good things come with time. Keep working hard Lewis, this was wonderful.
This is one of the best animations of a launch I have seen. The composition of the shots and the grandness they convey is incredible. The final result gives a truly inspiring feeling
This was Amazing 🤩 to watch. We all thank you for putting this out. And let’s hope everything goes to plan for the mission. RUclips put this on my screen and I just wanted to watch it I clicked on it and wow the everyday astronaut was there what an amazing experience
Beautiful work! Can't help but think of Apollo 8 going to the moon and taking pictures of the earth. Again leaving home to discover another world and more about ourselves.
That was off the hook good. Truly a masterpiece of work. It's so beautifully artistic in the soundtrack and perfectly paired with great visuals that brought me into the video and touched my heart and soul. Thank you pray for Starship! I hope the test goes as planned so re launching will be easier. But come on, this video is so awesome!!!!!
@@Olo_fmost of it, booster came down but crashed, starship payload bay only opened slightly, and it survived a bit of reentry but I think it burnt up. But it still got to orbit :D, so it is technically the biggest orbital rocket ever made!
This was a decent rendering of the launch however a couple points are needed. The drone viewing the launch was in a bad position after second stage separation and the booster began to rotate away before beginning its boost back burn because the booster crashed into the drone at 4:15. And second what was Starship doing flying toward the Great Lakes which are north west of the launch trajectory toward the Caribbean Islands at 5:55? That would put starship in a retrograde orbit?! I don't think so. Lastly, the starship planning to open its payliad doors, but not to release Starlink sats. That will come later. This is supposed to be ITF-3 after all. Sorry, for my pedantic approach to responding. It is part of my underlying neurosis! 😅😂
One or two sea-level engines can be aimed through the center of mass, but vacuum Raptors cannot. Also, when the main LOX tank is nearly empty, only the sea-level engines can use the dregs.
Dude, this was amazing! I couldn't be more excited for Thursday than I already was after watching that. Awesome video and the level of details I caught along the way...spot on.
I never make comments….but with that said, I feel like I MUST for this video and animation. Great music choice and I’m so excited for launch after watching this!
Stunning animation! Regarding the second song "Filaments", you can give credits to Scott Buckley in the description and dispute on RUclips, so you can monetize your video, of course, just do that if you had problens with the musics. Congratulations, amazing work
This could have had me fooled for the real thing had you just animated a few heat tiles falling off 🙂 In all seriousness this was brilliant work, thank you for posting for all of us to enjoy!
Here is a thread about the animation: twitter.com/lewisknaggs42/status/1767278884205023368
Ok
Your animation may well be far more successful than the test flight.
This was so nice to watch. Wonderful job, Lewis! Well done! ♥
Thank you very much Felix!
Is there not a flip expected at the end?
Would you say he rocks? 😂 I agree, great job!
@@clipmixhd4937 no just belly flop to the ocean.
Hey Felix!
Happy to have another 3D artist producing Starship videos!!
you can tell how much work he put into this animation by the fact that the tank farm still had 8 vertical tanks here

Just a shame that once again it didn't stick the landing! :D

@@dsdy1205 They have new transmission upgrades though for this flight so we may at least see some good on board footage.
@@dsdy1205 there will absolutely be somebody there, and likely will be footage, just hope we are privy to it.
You forgot to add another quote at liftoff: “OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD1!!” Tim Dodd - The Everyday Astronaut
And the 'flamey end down' thing, can't forget that gem.
And "It's looking norminal"
Very well done, Lewis! As an animation enthusiast, I can imagine how much work went into this.
Just a suggestion, it would be great if you made another version of this animation showing what exactly happened during the launch.
I'll be remaking the booster landing based on telemetry
Awesome!@@LewisKnaggs
Nice! I subscribed.
Even if this goes as planned the media news will be "Elon Musk fails again, Starship crashes in the ocean!"
They will say that 100%. Journalists have no integrity.
No, just exploded, yet again, $3 Billion of taxpayers' money gone bang, bang, bang.
@@IbnBahtuta a complete idiotic statement. Congratulations showing your absolute ignorance publicly. 👏
@@IbnBahtutaWhat's your point?
That's what media have been doing since their inception. Yanking everything out of context to get more views.
IFT 3 will be so monumental. The animation alone already brings me to tears.
This is one of the better animations I have watched over Starship flights. The attention to detail was amazing. I wish this had more views and you were better known, but all good things come with time. Keep working hard Lewis, this was wonderful.
That intro with Tim Dodd's quotes from the Astro Awards was freaking awesome. Hope he sees this video :D
Good animation👍
I would be so happy if we really get to see those views from the vehicles on the launch day!
And so we did!
Wonderful animation! Thank you for producing and sharing!
THIS NEEDS MORE VIEWS!! ITS GREAT!! 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don't understand how was I not subscribed to you already? Well, I certainly am now! Absolutely fantastic work. Go Starship!
This monster booster would go nice with a multi staging configuration, it would’ve been on the Moon 5 years ago!
Gorgeous work! As one who dabbles in 3D modelling, I am awestruck. Truly amazing. Keep up the outstanding work! Mega kudos!

Very beautiful animation! The space scene is mind blowing! 🚀➡🌠
Very nice job! The belly flop of starship looked majestic and I loved the message on B10 after landing.

Not at all. You need to try harder!!
Amazing animation. Excellent work. Thanks.
Magnificent render, its worthy of a world wide prime TV audience to show case a master at work.
Love the E420 nod, well played indeed. =D
Great work Lewis even though I saw it before this release!
💯
Wow! Just ... wow!
Great animation. Hoping to see more!

We hope if this alternated flight might be really succesful from March 14th

You forgot : "I wonder if it will be friends with me?"
You sir have some insane talents making this! Thanks for such an amazing video.
This looks great, well done!
Surprised to see the grid fins deployed on the booster during ascent. 😮
That's how the real thing flies. They cannot retract
This is absolutely fantastic! Keep up the great work, I cant wait to see what you make in the future!
Great Job. Keep it up 💯
Excellent job and I can wait till next week to view it again with the actual starship.
Amazing Work, very impressive animation
Fantastic timing :D Keep on the great work!
That was awesome! Thank you for this animation. Keep up great work and you'll become second Ryan Hansen Space!
It feels so sad at the end when the ship just crashes into the water.

One small change is they would probably light on of the vac engines as they are in space but apart from that brilliant job.
I'm sure between SpaceX rearranging the flight plan and the time to do the artwork things do not always work out as planned.
