The thing is that if they were filming him 24/7, the moment he tells his wife his predictions should have been enough for the producers to make some adjustments and prevent at least one of those three people (girl on bicycle, man with flowers or man driving a volskwagen) from crossing that intersection and replace them with some other random pedestrians or drivers.

in real Truman show , something like happing : one person going with his cash, 2 thief behind on him and then Police van suddenly appearing to catching them. and Truman was watching all this, first from his television then live. ( when you sit in front of road like in your office or in a restaurant , people are moving just like a story ) this man just wanted to say !
This is actually a rather unrealistic part of the movie that I didn't like much. Even though everybody is just a paid actor playing a role, why the heck would they just go around and around doing the exact same thing over and over? Have the scriptwriters never been in, seen or even heard of re-enactment parks, where they re-enact for example an old wild west town? The actors there behave like normal people would, rather than going around doing the same thing over and over each 10 minutes. Why would they do these silly repeated loops over and over?
I don't think so. Don't quote me as I haven't seen the movie full in awhile, but I know the reason she wanted to go to Fiji was because the girl he fell for that he'd been cutting out magazine articles for her face, when they went to the beach and she was dragged away by her "father". He asked where they were going, and the "father" thought of whatever random place in the moment and said "Fiji". So how would it come up to what became his wife that he wanted to go to Fiji without the reason coming up.
BINGO! I was hoping someone else after all these years pointed this out! Now I could be wrong but never had he ever brought up Fiji to her , that’s why after saying it he kinda stops for the moment and you see him thinking about it. He knows he never brought it up to her and she has no reason to even know it which is why he quickly locks the doors. Same with his “Best friend” when he is giving that speech saying that he would never lie to him and that he would have to be in on it too. He gives him a painful look realizing he is lying to him too, his best friend.

This is a must watch movie
5:08 "wanna do it again?" - i'm sure it wasn't in the script :)
RUclips vlogging the origin story
I find it disturbing that the wife didnt have problem sleeping with him when she had no feelings for him.
OK snowflake
in real Truman show , something like happing : one person going with his cash, 2 thief behind on him and then Police van suddenly appearing to catching them.
and Truman was watching all this, first from his television then live.
( when you sit in front of road like in your office or in a restaurant , people are moving just like a story )
this man just wanted to say !
I wonder how much he would be able to sue those assholes for... I mean, for real. Can you even pick a price on that?
Was she supposed to know that he wanted to go to Fiji?
@@feywinterfox9630 Even friends lie to each other once in a while, so to say "The last thing I would ever do is lie to you" sounded too over the top to be true. Bad writing on Christof's part, gave it away.
He told the nurse in the hospital hallway to tell Meryl he was going to go to Fiji. But she didn’t know about the visit to the travel agent.
@@cz2165 I TOTALLY forgot about that!
This movie is like taking a child and busing it for thirty plus years.....
When they remade the truman show, they moved away from "comedy", and created the matrix. Its the same movie
Truman Show predicted Big Brother/Big Boss and live streaming way back in 1998. But kinda failed to understand that the majority of the population with smartphones in 2024 love to telecast themselves on tik tok or Instagram or RUclips or wherever whenever possible.
Mate, Big Brother is based off a book from the 1940s
This movie is deep but it’s not THAT deep
Yeah "Jim Carrey" is freaking out, like this is real life and not a movie and a character...🙄
This movie is amazing
True man
It’s hard not to stare at Laura Linney‘s dimples.
