Life, it slips by in the blink of an eye. 70 now and how it seems like yesterday I was carolling singing these songs.
I'm 72 and remember going door to door to sing Christmas songs, oh happy days where have they gone. Love & Peace to all ❤
I am 66 and remember caroling with my sister's and friends. Back then, folks would come out with cookies, candy, hot chocolate. They really appreciated songs of our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏🙏💖💛💕🌹🌹🎶🔥
I remember too…whenJoe pastored. he would invite, folks to come together and sing Carols to the older folks and sick and handicap..so sad, FOLKS ARE TOO BUSY WITH THEMSELVES GETTING READY FOR THEIR FAMILY CHRISTMAS!!

Love the old songs. I now spend the holidays alone with memories. Some bad and some good. But now no happiness, no others left to share the day with. But I do have the best blessing ever, I have the Lord. Praise him.

I am 66 years of age and had been separated living alone but one thing for sure I continue to hold on to the promise that Emmanuel will never leave me neither will He ever forsake me. The joy of Christ mass is to be with God's Only Begotten Son Jesus.

Me too! It touched my soul although I did not accept Christ til many years later.
This was a particularly difficult year, and since my loved ones went back to our Father's house it has been lonely and sad. I miss those Christmas dinners when we sat at a full table, now it's just my daughter and me. I wish that God gives shelter and food to all who spend a cold Christmas Eve on the streets and that there is a generous soul who wants to sit them at their table to celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus. And that the wars end and the world lives in peace at least for one night. May God bless everyone.

I'm so sorry you're sad this Christmas. The Lord came to rescue men from the shackles of sin & hate. This is a fallen world & will never cease to be until Christ's return. Accepting that this is part of God's eternal foreknowledge will allow you to rest in His perfect plans for this world & His plan of Salvation. That is cause for JOY no matter what our circumstances if we truly love & embrace salvation. Look to Jesus the Saviour - He alone can wipe away every tear.
You are right. And God would not be pleased with the genocide being conducted by the Israelis/ Americans on the poor defenceless women and children of Gaza right now. Even on Christmas day. You know, in life the abused often goes on to be the abuser when the balance of power swings.

I'm 64 years old and I really miss the old days when living life was alot simpler alot happier and the family was all together. When I was a boy I used to go to a catholic school and church were the nuns were the teachers and I have such wonderful memories of the Christmas holidays everyone treated one another with so much love that I can just close my eyes and relive every moment. Thank you Lord for those wonderful memories. And now as the Lord Says we live in a broken world were humanity has lost the family values as we knew them. I miss my family and now they have all passed away. May our heavenly father have mercy on as all.

I grew up with this wonderful music as a teenager. I sang these carols many times in hschool. Wonderful memories of our snowy Christmas times and God's blessings and beauty.

Yes! It’s not just about memories of good times past-even better times are coming! All because of JESUS! And the way forward to that destination is not for the faint of heart…but I’m so grateful that my family celebrated a fairly traditional Christmas, because I had the experience of knowing why we celebrate-along with the sheer excitement of Christmas morning! 🎁 As an adult, I see that same joy as a foretaste of the joy that’s coming again for us, to live forever in His kingdom!!! Christmas encompasses not only what has been done for us-it celebrates the One who’s coming back for us ❤

These are the songs I remember at Christmas Eve services in my small town when growing up. Then we would go home for eggnog and cookies. The church has now closed, the people are gone, but the warm memories remain.

If you explore the channel you will see there was a Christmas concert held in the school hall a couple of weeks ago as well. You can still sing these carols in church. We still use them, but only churchgoers hear them now with our so secular world. Sadly. My Jewish friends enjoyed them too, but today we live in such a divisive world full of resentment..😢

I was at church today we practiced outside in our town square we practiced our choral Christmas songs. Yes, 2024 we do still respect the process.

There is no more beautiful glorious celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus than these hymns. Our children and grandchildren no longer get to celebrate it as we did. My heart breaks that they'll never get the feeling of the true meaning of Christmas and the knowledge of their road to true redemption

Me of singing in our choir for so many years 50 and more. Im now 92 and cannot attend their concert.
