Excellent insight into a European war just a couple of hours of flight away.
My partner is Ukrainian and, like myself, lived in Germany. She’s been here for 20 years and acts as a translator. Perversely… the war has been a positive for her business as we have many 1000s of Ukrainian refugees in our area.
She’s been telling me of the many different stories of those who managed to flee and who have lost husbands, brothers, fathers etc.
The reality of war is that people die, homes are destroyed and dreams and hopes are shattered.
I hope you guys stay as safe as possible and thank you for risking your lives to report your experiences in such a frightening environment ❤

You are missing the obvious. They are using drones because most of the men in Ukraine have been slaughtered. This has always been a slaughter. The country has been destroyed and the men killed. Unfortunately the globalist, UK, and democrats told Zelenskyy not to sign the peace deal proposed by Putin. Too much money is being made from this slaughter.

I’ve been flying drones for over a decade now and have developed a strong interest in the history of unmanned aerial platforms. In this context, I’d like to mention the use of pigeons during World War I, which carried the world’s first interval cameras. While these pigeons weren’t drones, they represent one of the earliest forms of aerial reconnaissance in warfare, gathering intelligence without a human on board.

12000 V1s (Fieseler Fi 103) were launched in 1944 and 1945. They would be called drones nowadays. This was more than a decade before the Vietnam War.

Not really. They clearly were cruise missiles. They are as much "drones" as a Tomahawk or Storm Shadow missile would be.
