I'm absolutely in love with this video. No loud personality screaming "HEY, WHAT'S UP YOU GUYS!!", no obnoxious voice over. Just normal people quietly doing a good job. Chef's kiss!
When I first saw the camper, I was like "NO WAY, NO WAY, THERE IS NO WAY". Whyyyyyy? just trash it and be done. But you two have spent a loooot of time and hard work to make it happen. Wow wouldn't believe it, if I didn't see it.
We have a old trailer in terrible shape!! There is hope, I would love to take on this project. This tour might give me the inspiration I need to get the job done!!
At 10:50 minutes watching the clean out. Your wife/lady is a keeper. My wife wouldn't even come close to the trailer. 48 Years of marriage, I cannot remember my wife every bring dirty. Now she is ripping up the flooring with a wrecking bar. I hope there is a part 2. Thanks for the video. Back with an additional comment. Cutting insulation.. T square, tape measure and keyhole saw. She is going to town. I Love it.
Believe me, this trailer was worth restoring. I've even seen old campers get restored. Since I've also previously seen old double-decker British buses converted into RVs.
THIS is the reno video i needed. so many videos have people just upgrading outdated rigs, but I brought home a rats nest! I needed to find a renovation around a fellow piece of junk!
Loving this!! Y’all are an Amazing team!! Lots of hard work!! Just Thankful y’all not doing in the Summer!! Very thankful that you are restoring this trailer❤❤❤
That's how you do it when you are young! Take something old and make it new again. In the mean time you are saving big bucks and gaining valuable experience on your way to becoming 'Well-To-Do'.
I just started watching - same story here including the cracked out interior (actually found a crack pipe). Down to the metal then back. Mine is a 78 Nomad 22 footer. Following your project is going to be great!
I am doing this for my children and I 1950 shasta im thankful to see people with like minds i am consistently being pit down for finding away out if no way
I just got a Concorde traveler model (left on property) and was reluctant to go in it cuz it's nasty, but this inspired me because mine is nowhere near as bad as this was
Boy, you guys are really going at it hard. Good job. I am seeing a lot of black mold on the wood. Be sure to neutralize, seal and or replace them. Double check the windows to make sure they are watertight. Too much hard work to have it go for naught with bad windows.
That’s really good advice! Thanks! For the winter I’ve just left tarps on it until I can get back to it and get it all sealed up! I’m still deciding how I wanna seal it up. There are a lot of holes from rusted out screws and stuff like that.
Did the exact same thing on a 24 footer, but i ripped out every board & replaced it all with pressure treated lumber, wasn't playing around, & it was the same year era as this, i figured, if it lasted this long with regular ol lumber, & junk screws, it should last 10 life times with pressure treated lumber & all stainless steel screws
That’s super smart! I like the way you think! This is a low budget remodel so you’ll be seeing us using a lot of recycled materials in future videos as well! With that being said you’ll also see me use treated wood when need be!
@@KatieAndAri yes i used all new 1X1 treated lumber, that stuff was so cheap how could i not, it made no other sense to me to use anything different, you guys are doing a great job tho., cant wait for another video from you guys, loved the video, looks like y'all got a great future with your RUclips video's, don't stop now, get another 1 & rehab it as well, you kids are going places with RUclips, make it work for you 👍✌
Do add the rest of the build. Highly recommend using better respirators due asbestos and toxic adhesives used in building antiquated structures. Army Medic Vet. All the best. -William
son, that girl ain't messin around!! well done there sister! getting ready to start on my Fan , camper. but i'll be doing it by my self. i hope you get many good memories from all your hard work!
Would like to see more all the way to the finish. I'm working on a fifth wheel hope it's not that much work 😮 but it's has to be done I'm learning from different people good luck
I'm reminded of the gutting out of the house that I grew up in....all that work was actually the hardest part of the whole job;, you wondered if you were EVER going to finish.

Wiring is Sketchy at best but works. Toilet seat broke so use a Composting Toilet that sits in the Shower 1/2 Tub Combo. 3way Fridge was Worthless and didn't work. Live in Florida so don't take much to heat in the Winter and is not actually too bad in the summer for A/C. Bill ranges from $35 no A/C to $75 Using A/C.. Only Paid $1,200 for it. Holes in the Bottom under the Bathroom area Allow Opossums, Mice, Neighbors Cats, Roaches In and had to Block those off, Still get roaches and mice.. it is Florida. Do I plan to restore it.. Eh.. got to built a House First and at the time of writing this, with the Prices So Fucking high on Lumber 2x4 for $20??? Yeah Fuck that! And I need Pressure Treated because the area I Live in, Building the house myself and as Money allows, the Untreated would Rot before I had it built.
If you're in central FL, I have a bunch of pressure treated wood I got from someone that demo'd a deck. I'd be happy to help out. Some big pieces, some not so big pieces.
It's a beautiful trailer. that's what I see. You have it on a diet because it's lost a lot of weight in the fire barrel ;). little work, some lipstick and eyeliner and she'll be a purdy ride! fun watching the transformation!
roof walls floor ok ? lotsa trailers / Mobil homes had particle board floors.. I redecked mine w 3/4" ply.. roof had been re coated no leaks.. walls were ok...
Definitely can’t stop now! I can’t believe it’s been so long already! We have been working on it slowly but surely and documenting it along the way! Once we have enough footage, we will upload the next part!
I sure hope you sealed up all the leaks before you tried to cover anything. Remembering where all the leaks are after you have pulled all the rotten wood out at the beginning is going to be tough.

I love it. No stupid intro with cheap music. No female underdressed and having the camera highlight exposed skin.
Nice to see people who are not afraid of hard work.

Very helpful and interesting. Someone just gave me a gutted camper, similar to this one.

It is amazing how much work the young lady can do , amazing !!!
Wow to be young again and full of so much vision and energy. Great job.
Considering what the trailer looked liked when you first opened the door you guys are doing a nice job.

Good job. Now that's renovating. Love to see girls helping. Girl Power.
It was more like I was helping her! Haha girl power 💪🏼
The girl was not helping him. They were both working together on a joint team project. If anything she was doing more work !
That is what I meant. Jeez so defensive. I was complimenting the girl for working hard.
Thankls, I just bought a 78 rockwood , 30 footer, and i got overwhelmed gutting it, Now I see, I can do it. Thanks.
how is it coming along?
