Sounded like he had some kind of damage to his vocal chords. I used to work with a guy who had damaged vocal chords and he sounded like that before he had surgery to fix them and then sounded normal after that.
Am I the only one that thought that the brother that was singing on the Third audition wasn't actually dreadful? He would probably have had a better chance if he had left his brother at home lol.
Ant, I also thought he wasn't bad. With good training he could be os much better. Unfortunately Seb wasn't good. For them to say Ant was terrible was a serious overstatement.

My cousin tried out for american idol. She never got to be in front of "the judges", she had to go to a pre-audition. So yeah, the casting directors who left these people through to the judges knew they were bad, but they figured they'd be entertaining. They weren't wrong.

There are a lot of people who are TONE DEAF -- meaning they can't even hear if they are anywhere near the tune. And they're usually WAY off key, and they can't tell. But it's for sure that she was allowed to get through her first audition(s) to get to the stage, just so people could laugh at her -- which is cruel and unfair.
There are people that are like that I went to school with a girl like that. She thought she was so good. Omg she was horrible! Couldn’t hit a note couldn’t stay with the beat/tempo nothing.

OK, the first girl HAS to be doing it on purpose. There is absolutely NO WAY she truly thought she had an ounce of singing talent
There are a lot of people who are TONE DEAF -- meaning they can't even hear if they are anywhere near the tune. And they're usually WAY off key, and they can't tell. But it's for sure that she was allowed to get through her first audition(s) to get to the stage, just so people could laugh at her -- which is cruel and unfair.
