I must have watched this video 10 times and then I did it, did it, did it! I bought my dream Skoolie! I hope to meet her and other rad chicks on the road soon!
Thanks to your video I have MADE A DECISION ON THE SIZE OF MY BUS! I have watched thousands of hours of videos for two years trying to make sure I choose a bus that would be comfortable for me and quests. but recently I come to the conclusion that this is for ME and my peace of mind and that I would most likely be alone most of the time. I see it coming together now, sister. So, make room on the highway for me! See you soon. Thanks so much for the words of encouragement!
This is THE nicest laid out short bus I've seen! I feel so comfortable in there - - I can see why she loves it & why she prefers it, for sure. : ) I love the privacy screen from the couch to the bed..... so cute...... it all has that farmhouse/ boho chic vibe that is so cute & cozy. Great build out!
I immediately noticed that screen also. Looks to be from India and I like how it was painted white. It adds so much charm! There is much color and texture and interest in the home but it isn't overdone and doesn't give a cluttered feeling. Just the right amount of everything.
My first and only time ever seeing this lady. I will never meet her but please no, I pray she never let's anyone of anything dull her shine. Beautiful, bright, peaceful female. I just love her and her doggies ( 4 legged babies). Enjoy and take care of your self because its a wonderful self. Peace from Tennessee
Kari is right, if you want to travel and live in a bus or whatever traveling vehicle just do it. You don't want to wait until you are 60 or 70 years old to start traveling. Kari you did a good job with your bus build. It looks cozy and inviting inside your bus.
I'm 60 and setting up my van so I can stay in it for one week trips at a time as hotels are overated and over priced these days but personally wouldn't want to live in a vehicle permanently even if I were younger. To each his own.
@@january2798 I bought an ex greyhound bus and am building it out now and at the end of this month I’m moving in ready or not and will be hitting the road! I’m 58 and there’s no better time than now! I’m now debt free and don’t know how many more years I have out here so I’m gonna do it while I can and never look back. I can’t wait and maybe I’ll be lucky enough to run into her someday so I can get a couple doses of that beautiful energy that she posses!! There’s no way you could not be happy when being around this beautiful soul and her dogs seem to have the same personality she does! What a treat for the soul!!
I am 70 and recently bought a vintage toyota rv. I should have bought when I was still working, as a way to get out of town and relax. But now that I am retired I really have no huge urge to go. I couldn't be happier not working and am as happy as a bug in a rug just hanging out , doing projects, and chilln. So the rv mostly sits and is used occasionally.
Aahh, this is a build that just makes sense! Simple and uncomplicated, pretty and homey, with everything one needs organized in a sensible way. I love that it has a DIY feel and isn't too slick, and yet it is cohesive, pleasant-looking, and all the parts work well together. I do wish she had talked about installing the wood on the ceiling, what kind it is, if the bus is insulated, etc., but really, what a great job she did!
Good to see a real one come through once in a while! I think so many of these videos show people with their brand new builds that they’ve barely used! But she’s legit! Keep on driving!
That screen was in the trash? Omg what a sin. It is gorgeous. I love it. Great that you saved it. Your bus has everything you need and nothing you don't. It is beautiful. You have the perfect life.
Very cool bus and a marvelous young lady with Heelers!!! 🐶❤️. I was at the Skooliepalooza this year and met quite a few very interesting and like minded folk. I’ve been full timing in my tiny 10’ teardrop with my blue heeler for the last 2 years and don’t think I’ll ever go back to living in a traditional house.
What a cozy, pretty, and smart home. Love the basket, wood, wire, and metal materials for organizers (no plastic!) Kari you ought to have a YT channel showcasing your life, travel, and farm, tiny home, and bus projects!
I really resonate with her saying that she's so much more comfortable and feeling safe out of the city, living life in a more natural way (as I understood)... it tastes like freedom to me.
Beautiful build and very much appreciated as I am looking to transition into the van/bus life as I have learned to let go and I had to let go of my comfortable lifestyle from a 1 bedroom apartment to a hotel room and now to a van or a bus!!! Kudos!! :)-
Putting on a backpack and heading out all by myself… Listen to the advice she’s giving people. That one may be the most freeing and important for those who aspire to the adventure lifestyle.

You are very nice lady collected many issues and details are gathered in your short school Bus as a traveling home!. The nicest thing is you have a permanent a tini farm house! I feel that you are raised as a farm girl, you can move any where and near by beach or in the green fields scenery. wish you long live and safe life.
What a lovely young lady ...this is a free spirit that I could easily travel with. Great build , simple yet functional ...great dogs ... safe travels 🌹
Honestly, a bus build might be my new tiny living dream. I've been wanting a tiny home for a while but I also love to travel, so if I could do both, I think it would make the most sense.
I've been into Skoolies for many many years. Seen a whole lot that I like, but this one takes the cake. It is amazing, and her spirit and beauty are out of this world. This bus looks so comfortable and liveable Great job. Once I saw the motorcycle I fell in love lol. She can't get any better!
Your energy jumps through the screen, what a free spirit you are. This bus is so cosy and I am in love with you and it. I love your Buddah and prayer flags too, kindred spirit here. You keep living this amazing life and I think you should create a vlog or something.
Get on the road with anything you have, not just a bus or van. Waiting for that limits your self. I am a single female part-time car camper 🇬🇧 started off in a tiny Cheverlot Spark. Now in a bigger car, no Van or bus. I love it. Down the road I might get a bus but really enjoying what I can do part-time in my car right now. Love your set up with the bus and attitude overall. Stay safe and blessed 🙏🏾
You are so inspirational! I am just now recovering from POTS and trying to work up the courage to start camping alone again as a partially disabled woman. This CAN be safe with just a couple of security adjustments. I'm going to do it!
A charming person paired with a charming build. The home on wheels appears to be missing nothing and containing everything. She is glowing with happiness, contentment and confidence. What a wonderful story and picture of how it's done. Thankyou for sharing. Continued Happy and Safe travels.
Ladyyyyyy.... I say hats off to you.... Your rig is by far the most impressive, thought filled rig I have ever seen, and I've seen bunches.... You are so creative....thanks for sharing.
Really love your home very cozy, well thought out . Design is creative enjoy your video. Keep loving life, laugh often and smile always. One of the best short bus designs. Peace of mind goes far. Stay safe….
I got my van and getting prepared for the van life and looking forward to meeting all these awesome people that have shared their experiences of living solo on the road, I have taken a little from each person who has shared, and I have watched hundreds of videos. When I tell some people my dream of van life, some say it's very dangerous. I tell them (something i heard from a solo woman) I've gotten hurt by those closest to me than a stranger. Within a month i found a van, retired and quit my job i hated. I plan on being completely out of my house i rent and on the road by June. Thank you for your encouragement to just do it. Getting my van ready!!
What a beautiful Bus and a lovely lady with a wonderful personality. Kari I love you tiny Bus house and the set up is cosy I like your screen separating the bed area from the seating area and your two dogs look really contented as well. Stay safe and enjoy your journeys.
Really like that knotty pine you have on the ceiling. Reminds me of the cabin my dad built in the Colorado mountains where I grew up. Agree the cities are where the problems fester, and the last place you'll find me.
I'm so glad I scrolled across your video! I love seeing the dream you're living. Many blessings to you, young lady! You have inspired me to live my dream too! Thank you. Be safe and enjoy your travel.
Eclectic, cozy, charming, earthy, minimalist simplicity. Nicely done. I believe contentment should be both the starting point & goal for our lives. Anything we add (or others try to add) to our lives that diminishes our contentment should be avoided or excluded. Life is too short to live it any other way. Respect for this practical, wise & healthful sister. 🙏
Just bought a shuttle bus that is already considered a RV But I am and remodeling it to meet my needs and likes. I am also a solo women traveler. Just want to be safe with my dog too. Thanks for your words of encouragement and video. 😊
Kari, totally love your rig and I am all about that dirt bike. We have a 31 ft motorhome. I would love to downsize but my wife of 46 years rules the motorhome roost lol. She is the driver. I am the gopher when we're tooling down the road. Your bus has that total home feeling to it. I can understand why you want to live in that and nothing else
Wow!! That's nicely thought out and suits her needs well. Such a beautiful woman too. Glad she is living her dream adventure. Hopefully one day I will too.
We have two geek fans also for our tiny-house-on-wheels and they work REALLY well! We use them in the winter also, to circulate the heat from the wood stove. We have one hung up while the other is charging, in the solar shed.
Loving your bus, especially the division of the lounge/bedroom; keeps it separate but also has a nice flow. Absolutely agree that you don't need a shower, a huge box which takes up shed loads of room. I bathed our kids in a horse feed bucket when they were little (in a bus lol). Also, love the platform at the front for the bike. BUT most all, I love your inspiration and positive energy X
What a stunning little home,so,so pretty,I'm really loving the jali work looking room divider,I love it when someone takes time to upcycle another person's so called trash,I love to skip dive and recycle, upcycle stuff, everything has another purpose. Very cosy home indeed.
Auto stores have peel on& off window tint. It's not permanent. It comes in rolls. Its approx $12.00 per roll. 1 roll covers avg 2 windows of a car. Your best bet, is purchase the larger roll, that is used for the back windows of car/ can. More bang for the buck. Oh do not use home window tint from Lowe's/ Menards, as its not designed to be used on van/ truck/ car windows. I recommend 2 drops of dawn dish soap in a 1 quart spray bottle with warm water. Shake it a bit. Spray the tint, the whole tint. Back/ front. Its easier to apply the windows. Trust me. 🤣🤣🤣 A plastic paint scraper, is the ideal tool to apply the tint. All you need to do, is push the air bubbles out from tint to window. Its super easy. Dont bother buying the kit to apply the window tint. Waste of $$ Tint last approx 2 years. 35% charcoal is ideal for the bedroom windows. It's a bit darker than 50% charcoal. Although if you prefer more sunlight during the day, use the 50% tint. I personally use 35% As the 35% allows just enough sunlight in during the day, plus it blocks quite a bit of the heat from the sun. It stays much cooler and longer than the 50% Stay away from smoke window tint. After 4 months or so; the gray in color, turns, a yucky purple. There is mirror tint. This type of tint? It blocks 80% of unhealthy uva rays. And it's the more pricey tint. It's the higher end tint, because it keeps vehicles/ bus/ van the coldest during the summer seasons. A+ my book. Especially if you prefer to be in the desert climates. Az, Mx, Ca etc The mirror tint, says what it means. It's a mirror. From the outside of the bus/ van windows mirrored. From within the bus/ van the outside is similar to " rose colored glasses" Its quite beautiful. It sure changes the environment. I like your choices for the bus. Good job. Stay safe out there. 😁
I backpacked it through Europe for 11 years.... Spent a year in England a year at several Islands in Greece 1 year in Russia-Moldova-Romania and 9 years in Germany ..... It was a great time to pass my 30 to 40 year life span (1987-1998) and returned back to USA slavery in 1998 .....I'm now 58 and working and saving to get a small bus and hit America until my last days ......
She’s amazing! Sounds just like me, no matter where I am, I am always craving being in my small tiny space, and am aching to get back into a bus to live permanently. I travelled New Zealand, America and Asia on my own and loved the travelling lifestyle. I’ve lived in a tiny van until it broke down on me, lived in my car, and always preferred small apartments to large homes. I think that travelling and movement and living tiny is just in some people’s DNA 🥰☺️ gotta follow the call 😁🚌
I have same butane stove as well. It's good, in a pinch or for camping but we do have a two-burner inset propane stove (Dometic) in our tiny-house-on-wheels (we named the house "The Antares").
Beautiful bus! Mine is the same length and a bit narrower. I so relate to just about everything you've said: I have no desire to live anywhere but my bus. It's the perfect space for me. This life is golden!
Easier said then done. Takes money to make things happen. What you have I would give just about anything for. It was a pleasure to meet you and hear your story. :
Well, how old are you? Like young adults? Start saving. A bus isn't expensive, tho diesel is 1.00 more/gal. 5k should get you a solid runner. Large buses aren't any more expensive, really. Small one might get you 10 mpg. Look into learning carpentry, plumbing and heating. Plus, diesel mechanical stuff.
I just want to know isn’t the gas expensive on a short bus. Just wondering, that’s been my question and what does someone do in freezing temps living in it. These two question keep me stalled moving forward with one.
I have a Japanese futon in my home, was just thinking why don't tiny home people have the futon mattress. Then I come across your video well there we are
Love your bus! Nice and clean, tidy, but very homey and personal touches! I would want a bathroom but that is me. You do you very well obviously. Love your pup! Safe travels! Maybe see you down the road someday! Sharing on my FB group for travel! ❤️
Nice bus good ideas ! I carry a dirt bike on my 4 window bus with the same rack but I cut off the xtra piece that’s just for the ramp strapped it up to bottom of bed to keep the bus as short as possible. It doesn’t look like you carry a spare tire . I’m building a tire mount on the back door .
Your Bus looked good. I hope I can also have a Beautifully Designed and Customized Short or Small House Bus (hopefully with God's Will and Grace) someday at the soonest time.💖☺ May our Good and Merciful Lord bless you and keep you always.💖🤗

It stays much cooler and longer than the 50%
Stay away from smoke window tint.
Az, Mx, Ca etc
The mirror tint, says what it means. It's a mirror. From the outside of the bus/ van windows mirrored.
From within the bus/ van the outside is similar to
" rose colored glasses" Its quite beautiful. It sure changes the environment.
I like your choices for the bus. Good job.
Stay safe out there.
😁
I know this sounds odd, but the decor does seem VERY YOU...
And thats a compliment!
Happy travels❣️
One of those baby door latches might work for fridge
There is something so homey and cozy about her bus, I love it!
Beautiful home! Great tip when I build out for the "curved" counters.
Exactly whatever makes you happy. Practical, economical, and you get to travel everywhere and whenever.
I love your bus. Thanks for sharing this with us. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
I have same butane stove as well. It's good, in a pinch or for camping but we do have a two-burner inset propane stove (Dometic) in our tiny-house-on-wheels (we named the house "The Antares").
It was great meeting you at the SWARM in NC. I've been waiting for your tour since you were all nervous trying to get ready.
Safe travels.
Çok içten ve samimi bir karavan olmuş insan kendini evinde gibi hissediyor. Harika bir aracın var. Güzel günlerde kullan. Dikkat et kendine... 🙏
Beautiful bus! Mine is the same length and a bit narrower. I so relate to just about everything you've said: I have no desire to live anywhere but my bus. It's the perfect space for me. This life is golden!
You are so delightful
another place, another time
fun fact..
I have an '18 KLR-650 and a 12 year old Border Collie
Great minds ☺
Such a free spirit you are.💜
Easier said then done.
Then I come across your video well there we are
Great job! It looks so cozy.
Great inspiration for single women. Loved this episode so much!
Love her dogs. ❤❤
Yes I'm doing this absolutely ❤
I just live her energy! I would love to meet her in person. Her bus is her style and I love that feature.
خیلی زیبا و باسلیقه چیدمان اتاق مسافرتی تون بود ....از تمام موارد مشابه اتاق های مسافرتی که دیدم چیدمانش شما بهتر و باسلیقه تر انتخاب شده بود.....
Very cute rig. Love the partition as you come in the door. Very pretty piece. Great job building it! Enjoy the life, stay safe!
WoW! It’s wonderful! I loved seeing what you have done with your bus. It’s so cozy and yet it’s quite practical as well. I love it!
Your Bus looked good. I hope I can also have a Beautifully Designed and Customized Short or Small House Bus (hopefully with God's Will and Grace) someday at the soonest time.💖☺ May our Good and Merciful Lord bless you and keep you always.💖🤗
I would love to meet this woman and travel with her. Come to NE Oregon so I can meet you. I love your attitude and lifestyle. Stay safe and have lots of fun and good times. Thanks for sharing.
