It's so crazy how far ahead google assistant is than every other assistant. I love google assistant because it just works for 99% of things you ask it to do. Plus, google's compatibility with smart home devices is just straight up insane. However bixby is pretty cool too and it even has more up it's sleeve that it can do that I don't even think assistant can do. Also I use bixby routines for a fuck ton of things, and it works flawlessly.

The biggest downfall for Alexa is that it's a third party voice assistant. I think that's the reason why Alexa failed so miserably in device control because as a third party app, certain access/function is limited. If you think about it, google assistant, siri, and bixby are part of the system by default and therefore integrated better with the OS.

Bixby was fantastic at first, but I prefer Google Assistant because it's so much simpler and more adaptable. I have morning and night routines that include turning on my rgb lights, Philips bedside lights, any plugs and the fan, my PC if I've left it on.
Also I've made a routine where I tell Google that I have work at a certain time, and it will set two alarms for me because I prefer having two alarms to wake me up :p I also have a smart switchboard, so I've set it to turn off my charging in 40 minutes because that's how long my phone takes to charge fully, and it also turns on half an hour before I wake up just in case it hasn't been fully charged. Just so I won't be charging it excessively. Really hand with this kind of customizations. It's also worked in many odd things too, which was surprising. Defo ahead of the game.

Bixby should've had two additional points. I think the fact that it doesn't have a seamless connection to a wifi speaker is as good as the point you've given Siri. And if you use any smart tv, or smart speaker, it can also find it.

Losing Google Assistant to Siri has been the single most painful thing about switching to iPhone from Samsung. In response I use my voice assistant WAY less now than before. I know you can use Assistant on iOS, but you have to launch it first, which defeats the entire point of having a voice-activated assistant.

7:34 I thought Bixby's version of this is quick commands that's different from Bixby routines. You can mix them both - say a word or phrase to activate strings of commands and series of routines.
7:41 my routine for places and times are working just fine. I don't use smart appliances though aha.. It just tells me I'm arriving at a place then changes the phone settings (volume levels, do not disturb, connects to WiFi etc) then it changes again when I leave the house or go to my dorm or when it's night and I'm staying in dorm, go somewhere else or go home.
Having these assistants in our phones really helps a lot. The downside though is I'm becoming more reliant to it - it's quicker to ask than do the calculations myself.

It's basically similar smart speaker with others but this one has a built-in IR sensor so I could register some of the non-smart (non-IOT) devices such as some of the A/Cs or TVs and I could use the speaker and basically tell it to control it without using the actual remote. At 5:23 it is important to note that Alexa is actually capable of playing things on Netflix, just not on your phone. I've got a Fire TV Stick and it works perfectly with my Echo Dot/app, even choosing the correct Netflix-Profile. That's generally something I missed throughout the video, Alexa is not designed to be your phone assistant, it is a smart home manager. It is designed to control other devices and not your phone, while all the other ones, especially Siri and Bixby, are better for that but not as good at controlling your home. This is mainly due to the insane amount of Amazon-made devices you can get which are obviously going to be compatible with Amazon. One could argue that Google, Apple and Samsung also offer tvs and stuff but their price cannot be compared to a 40$ Fire TV Stick or a 30$ RGB lamp.
This is also the main flaw that Siri has: While it works perfectly fine with Apple's devices, it is not very compatible with other ones. That is the default Apple problem as they always want to keep users in their bubble to motivate them to buy more Apple stuff. To be fair, the same thing kinda goes for Bixby, still it is made for Android and thereby more compatible by default.
Compatibilty aside, I think you should'nt have included Alexa or at least pointed out that it is a different type of assistant: The Alexa app has to be seen as an Echo Dot as it has the same system. On an Echo Dot, there is no dark mode etc. To be fair again, I will have to say that on an Alexa Show, which has a display, you can watch Netflix by voice command which also confuses me about the missing ability to do so on the phone (as Alexa seems to be capable of doing so). I think this might be due to the developers being more comfortable with their own system (Echo Show) than with Android but this is no excuse as all the other assistants manage to do so.

Great video!! Just one small point:
At 0:40 Alexa's answer is wrong. It understood as 6942 and answered accordingly instead of 69.42. Alexa's ans is still the closest one when compared to GA, Siri, and Bixby.

Voice assistants got much better than I thought.
2:40 Bixby and Siri should get a point there. They recognized your request correctly. It has nothing to do with voice assistants that apps used to recognize songs failed to do that.

But then wouldn't alot more of them be accepted for points? plus if the software given to them is horrible then its sadly their problem

IMO you missed the biggest hidden gem of Bixby, you can chain commands together and it will do them in the order you tell it to. So if you say "Turn on blue light filter, then turn on do not disturb, then turn off the screen" it will do it in that order.

I was pretty amazed by how complex commands they understood... the only "issue" a had, was anlong the lines of the commands used. they should be able to adapt, for sure, but there still might be other commands the indiviual assistent understand... a buddy of mine has used "end call" with bixby with no problem.
Its just a thought..... keep up the good work, i love your content :)

I agree, I think it might be the wording he used. End call or Chang up may have worked.

I've been using Bixby more and more lately, because i noticed that it has way more control over the phone i'm using, Still impressed that Bixby almost tied with Siri and beat alexa, since bixby is the newest one of all of them
