Maybe Channel 4 should focus on Syria to the extreme extent they do on Israel. This civil war has killed 20 times the people than has been killed in Gaza.
To call it a civil war is an insult to all those who got killed in this war. It's a proxy war wherein the US, Iran, Turkey and Russia are the key players. Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also playing their roles as financiers of the war. The UK is now irrelevant and hopefully will be more irrelevant as time goes by.
We, the human race, holistically, is unable to walk away from this _global madness_ that we have created to ourselves. This has just started and the worst is yet to come.

It lead to a number of people in your country becoming very rich - as is the American way. Rubbish
EXACTLY.
Yes he should speak up women are women across nationality. Palestinian women have been abused by this horrid genocidal Occupation for over 75 years. Where has This Guy been.? Never heard a squeak out of him considering he had been with Celebrities aswell Woppie!
nice interview
I found this interview so uplifting Thankyou . I will now follow this podcast
The analogy with the end of the Graduate was brilliant.
"the west" "the west""the west""the west""the west", no this is a you problem and surrounding neighbours. Solve it yourselves.
No comprehension huh?
AMAZING interview, enjoyed every minute of it Omid is very positive intelligent person
Thank you Omid! Iran and Gaza need new leaders, administrations!!
Wonderful 🙏❤️
Good on you Omid for educating people about the events unfolding in middle-east and how it impacts our lives here in UK and the world as a whole.
You do realise who started the war in Syria was not who you think it is. And a lot of those people in Syria were killed by the USA and Israel proxies.
Did you know that this guy also had a part in Gladiator and the Mummy .
We, the human race, holistically, is unable to walk away from this _global madness_ that we have created to ourselves. This has just started and the worst is yet to come.
Loved loved the interview. WTF no bookings in Manchester so have to travel to Blackpool 😢🤷🏽♀️🤣.
Omid means hope in Persian. I think Omid is a part of the hopeful world that all normal people of the world want.😊
Great comedian and Humanitarian ❤❤❤
What a privilege to listen to this. Thank you so much.
Y'all always yapping about how the US should leave the middle east while at the same time asking the US to intervene in a crisis in the middle east
Yup. They blame us for every problem in the Middle East. Every single one.
yeah
OK.
PLEASE BACK TO YOUR GAMEBOY
A educational conversation.
Keep saying what you have to say . Thank you for sharing your bravery 🥸
Omid clearly only cares about his career.
I'm not euphoric about Syria. It's a massive disaster.
Get used to the idea of a neo-Ottoman empire rising from Ankara, while the USA just Peaces out for the most part.
People who dont want to hear about the middle east are the right ones. You cant fix homelessness, suicide and imported slavery and exported mysery at home yet you want to be all up in the middle easts business just becuase the news at 10 which is now 24/7 told you thats what caring people do. Yes have optimism and hope but direct it at reality.
Sorry Omid, please go and read FREEDOM NEXT TIME by John Pilger.
@@01sinat thank you for the advice , hopefully it reaches him as well ! Got some other books by Pilger ,but this one is special all the more !
He’s like a fresh cup of tea’.
If by West you mean the United States it’s probably too late for that. After more than 20 years of war that lead to nowhere in the Middle East most Americans have had enough. If the UK/EU want to get involved, nobody is stopping you.
USA-Nato went on a mission to end Osama bean laden...20 years later...😢
It lead to a number of people in your country becoming very rich - as is the American way. There was no help involved and your military are no more heroes than Assad's or anybody elses doing their dirty work.. they're war criminals.
I agree with your point though. Leave these countries to fix their own problems. Including Israel.
First time I hear Omid but he makes a lot of sense
Spot on with that metaphor of the ending of the Graduate.
Typos in the thumbnail. Can't expect much more from the BRITISH Channel 4. Ridiculous
Omid playing the MSM for his career.
What Syria is he talking about ? There is no Syria Its all broken up no one has any control it’s anarchy
Saw him at the Edinburgh Fringe and he was amazing.
So did we, years ago, before he was well known.
It’s getting harder & harder to have a deep good laugh these days. And this guy doesn’t help. Why is he anti-Iran?
Erm….what?
He is good at telling the story Western media wants to hear!
LOLs at doing the Terry Jones naked pianist 🤣🤣🤣
Very sorry, but a simplistic viewpoint. Omid is a westerner. America’s colonialism and push to control the middle east is the problem. Zionism is the problem.
@sams1056 come on,not all westerners are clueless !!
No. We really, really don't.
why doesn’t he talk about zionism? that's interesting! all he talks about islamism:)
Because he's a Baha'i and they have their headquarters in Israel and their leaders backed the colonisation of Palestine. People are very badly informed about Baha'ism
@@georgeshas4347 just a bid of history for you.
Bahai's were actually the first people who were sent to Palestine TO PURCHASE LAND FROM THE Palestinians and open the gates for the colonizers . They all have muslim names .They are actually a jewish sect but very deceptive in their ways.deception is actually taught in their places of worship.their first leader is buried in occupied Palestine.
BUYER BEWARE
I was thinking exactly the same thing
Jalil means " mighty " and "beautiful." Omid doesn't know his surname meaning?!
It was clearly a joke 😂
Realities of living in Great Britain 🇬🇧
Guy is unsure “if women released from prison are going to something better or worse” 12:39
What a stupendous podcast!
Sell out. They’ve BEEN “talking” for 30 plus years since Oslo. It was one big swindle. Get real.
@khubza8999 Nettanyahu as a young was so against Oslo that his extreme right campaign caused a young man to kill Izak Rabin who was pro Oslo .
..young man.,
Normally Baha'is are stopped by their organisation from talking about politics. Djalili seems to have been given a licence to express political opinions and surprise surprise they are against the Iranian government. His over emphasis on Iran's involvement in the events of October 7 and his refusal to condemn Israel's genocide against the people of Gaza is in itself an indictment of his phoney remarks on behalf of the brotherhood of the human race.
OMID IS ANOTHER ZIONIST PAID AGENT.
BAHAI'S ARE KNOWN TO BE DECEPTIVE IN IRAN
WE CALL THEM MOOZY IN PERSIAN
It goes far back , anyway: Balfour Dec..
