Quick title explanation for those who skip the intro: I was gone on holiday and work for 1.5 week and this was the first ever lap after not driving the track or anything fast for that period. It was a bit rusty. Second lap would have been better, but the brakes were done after the first one. No worries, there is another "fresh" GT350R video coming.
Ah Misha, you did fine other than that bit of a tank slapper you got in on the up hill section.. The steering is a bit too overly tight to me in Track setting.. In my 1LE I leave the steering in sport, its the same way.. too tight and sketchy in high speed corners..
I remember once when I was a kid and my dad was driving, hearing an awesome engine note and looking around for the source of the sound. My dad didn't look and just said "mustang". He was right. I thought that was so cool.
There’s also a resonator delete, stiffer suspension, comes with michilen pilot sport cup 2 tires, bigger front splitter and sits lower in addition to the carbon fiber wing and wheels. Those are the differences to the gt350 and R models. Only the Mach 1 and the newer gt s550 performance packs come with rev matching.

That was my first thought too it’s because i have lived in the US for a few years and i know the average don’t even dare to dream about traveling to overseas. Plus i saw and met with a bunch of military person.
I think you can assume most Americans in that area are something to do with the big airbase at Rammstein. Especially if they have their car over there with them
What a sound! Even at 3000rpm it sounds absolutely insane, noise that turbo BMWs etc. can hardly match. My favourite US car together with Viper ACR and C8 Z06. Such a special thing, although it's "just" a Mustang.
What a vehicle. Love watching you drive mustangs and Camaros and showing off what we Americans have to offer now. Doesn’t overheat, brakes don’t get torched and overheated, over 500 HP, a killer manual transmission, sounds great, and it’s under 60K USD for one You would never see something from Germany with that level of performance for that price point hands down.
The owner / passenger must be a solider or something this guy was cool as a the other side of the pillow the whole lap😂. I also think that being converted to a mustang fan too this lap was great !!
Just unfortunate they are not allowed to smile apparently.. Maybe that's what the army does to you, looked a little too unentertained to me for such an experience
It's always interesting to see how much smoother you are at the end of the lap compared to the beginning. Must be tough to constantly jump between totally different cars.
My RS5 Does:) I need an exhaust for more sound though. This is my dream car though the GT 350R so crazy. Suspension is easy to do and 19 and 20 got the brake update as well for better cooling.
As a mustang owner this makes me feel proud. The modern ponies are well built as a track weapon with great cornering. For those talking of the sound, the audio doesn't capture it. There's a beautiful metallic drone that accompanies the sound that just completes it!
Everyone once in a while you release a video where I enter a trance and watch the entire video. This was one of them, magical car, magical driving lines by you.

Amazing video. Watching your expressions and seeing you prepare for each breaking zone and corner made me feel like I was in the car. 1million thumbs up....
This looks like a GREAT drive - balance, rotation, grip, damping / compliance, the engine, gearing, the pedalry.. (& lmao @ the owner yanking the handbrake so hard that jacked Misha has to (or at least opts to) use two arms to release it 😆)
When it first came out many car journalists called it American Porsche GT3RS for a reason , the driving experience is absolutely intoxicating in a good way , it was way cheaper than GT3 too , the MSRP was only 1/2 of the GT3 price but unfortunately many scalpers and car flippers pushed over 100k USD in America…
Haha yeah there is always someone that thinks they are holding back a semi truck with the parking brake, but props to Mustang for still having a manual parking brake!
The Cup 2s that come with the car (which are a compound that's in between regular Cup 2s and Cup 2Rs) I think would really make a big difference in terms of feel (having owned one myself)
Owner said pads were aftermarket for less dust. In my experience the less dusty pads also have less performance (but are nice for keeping wheels clean).
As soon as he explained more about the probably sub par pads and the fact that this car has been tracked a bunch and you look at that pedal travel, tells me he probably needs new brake fluid in there too. Fresh fluid and OEM or better pads as you said, it’s more than adequate.
Pads were swapped for less dust for day to day travel. The oem pads are great for track use but the amount of dust they emit is shocking, even from gentle drives. The fluid had actually been flushed about a month prior to this, so fluid is good, but as already stated, the pads had been through a few track days and were due replacement. I've put some new pads (not ceramic) and rotors all around
I can tell you guys are experienced. Pushed it so fast, yet still smooth and composed. This is one car I would like. Add it to the 30 other cars I want

Looked like the bonnet was going to lift up, I like the last bit when you got your feel in and started to turn in more with the throttle. Down shifts sounded mint.❤
It's nice that you take out customer's cars and critique them , I'm sure they love the feedback. This is one enthusiest car that Ford did right and will be enjoyed for a long time !

Weird how he scans the brake pedal with his left foot...I scan it with the right leg...but I can see how it's faster with left foot vs right nice little teaching moment..most people's problem with using both like that they ride the brakes...but I notice how he turns his foot sideways while scanning the brake...love manuals...I have a 500hp GT with the 6 speed manual...lowered coil overs and sport cup 4s on rear and 2s on front...awesome video...btw love the respect on the track...

I have one of these. Notice how well and quickly the car rotates and turns under power. I’ve had sports rear difs that did not turn this wheel under throttle. I love this car.
I'm guessing this was one of OUR boys who is stationed in Germany??? My brother Bill was stationed at Rammstein in 1968, U.S. Army signal corp. Great video & a full lap. That Mustang sounds fabulous.
@@Clutch_Kick187 I mean, the GT350 isn't much lighter. Modern cars are just heavy man, that's all there is to it. Hell, the C8 Z06 weighs the SAME as the GT350R(both around 3800lbs; base GT350 is around 3850lbs) - and the C8Z is a composite bodied 2 seater.
I have a ‘19 350r with the same colors and after his vid with the “modded” 350, I wanted to ship mine to him to let him feel a real gt350. The way it was meant to drive.
Boy that's an impressive stang. I had a 1996 and this is just night and day. In 97 I got the 2jz (I had to when they did the $10k price drop). I kinda wish they didn't ... bc I would've gotten the Rx7 ... which is my hearts main desire.
Oh my. My second favorite dream car and my favorite dream road track. And yes original brake pads make use but they work. And the tire issue is not as accurate as you explained. The magnetic adjusting suspension would most likely have stiffened up a bit as you would not have the initial Yaw happening, and the shocks would go hard earlier. It is as if, maybe, the car had no idea of the actual grip level and put you into a greasy track situation. Even though the initial traction loss had caused this. Get one setup stock and a track guy. I believe the car will be much different.
He prob has the camber set up for street and not in the track setting.. Gt350's and 1LE Camaro has adjustable camber plates from the factory at all 4 corners.. I would assume he has it set for street as it has 4s tires on it.. And he is not a track junkie..

It seems like the power curve flattens out from 7-8k. Misha even shifts early alot of the time i noticed, but damn that voodoo does sound fantastic.

Yep. Spot on. I have a 19' Mustang GT PP2, 401A, Magneride, Active Exhaust, Velocity Blue at the moment. My 12th Mustang. 4th S550. Car is solid.

That's the benefit of a naturally aspirated motor. Forced induction is inherently much more difficult to keep cool on track.
Can’t beat the sound of a high reving v8. That is why I like these mustangs, but also the e92 m3. These cars are dream cars.

If only they made the GT500 with a manual trans.. not a fan of the DCT.. and the weight is really an issue for the 500.. it's over 4200lbs..
The GT500 is superior in every way. The GT350R is essentially the Mach 1 HP with a different (less reliable) engine.
@@Clutch_Kick187 I mean, the GT350 isn't much lighter. Modern cars are just heavy man, that's all there is to it. Hell, the C8 Z06 weighs the SAME as the GT350R(both around 3800lbs; base GT350 is around 3850lbs) - and the C8Z is a composite bodied 2 seater.
Would be cool to have a rear facing camera on some of these, so we can see how fast the overtaken cars are dropping back

Boy that's an impressive stang. I had a 1996 and this is just night and day. In 97 I got the 2jz (I had to when they did the $10k price drop). I kinda wish they didn't ... bc I would've gotten the Rx7 ... which is my hearts main desire.

Oh my. My second favorite dream car and my favorite dream road track. And yes original brake pads make use but they work. And the tire issue is not as accurate as you explained. The magnetic adjusting suspension would most likely have stiffened up a bit as you would not have the initial Yaw happening, and the shocks would go hard earlier. It is as if, maybe, the car had no idea of the actual grip level and put you into a greasy track situation. Even though the initial traction loss had caused this. Get one setup stock and a track guy. I believe the car will be much different.
He prob has the camber set up for street and not in the track setting.. Gt350's and 1LE Camaro has adjustable camber plates from the factory at all 4 corners.. I would assume he has it set for street as it has 4s tires on it.. And he is not a track junkie..

2019 got the GT500 engine block, 2020(or 2019) received the GT500 front suspension and steering improvements.
