Happy marketing!
I watched the last video a week ago and I spent a few hours this morning gathering emails for local businesses then had chat gpt make a script and emailed 10 out of the 50 emails I gathered. I got 2 yes’s in 10 minutes. I’m so excited and happy about this, I’ve tried so many ideas and this is the first idea I’ve found on RUclips that actually works.
that's so great to hear I'm so happy for you!!!!
This absolutely works. Effort=Results. Just started this October with 1 area, doing 2 areas this month. Getting ready for 3 for December. So grateful to have found this, finally some freedom from the daily grind. Thanks Jake.
Where are you located?
so proud of you!
Income and total cost so far? I love that this would take a LONG time to be saturated and it provied legitimate value to every party involved
I set aside all of today to go through the mastery course as well as Kevin's email scripts. Tomorrow, I will start reaching out. I will be back here to share the results.
Kevins email scripts - where did you get those? Thanks!

I picked up the master class and look forward to working on this. I'll keep you posted. Thank you so much for the lifeline out of the struggle.
it is life changing!!
Real Estate Investors has been using the "blanket postcard" mailings for YEARS. Just pick a zipcode you want to target. You do not need addresses! You just need the postcards.
I own a mobile detailing business and a local blog. This could be very useful. My goal is to get everything up and running in 2 weeks
Camera ready is because printers USED to have to take pictures of each color (CMYKB) and print metal plates to put on the printer to transfer the ink to the paper. Highes res possible. Pre-digital, but STILL useful. No need for color Sep, but useful in scanning and inclusion in postcard templates.
The video I was waiting for ! thank you !

IDEAS: you could even do a "local biz" or "restuarant" of the month and have that one business owner pay the largest amount to have just 1 whole side of the 9x12 postcard! Also include menu so folks will keep it. I think this works best with local places that might even have their own in-house delivery like Chinese restaurants.
(not so much Uber Eats or Door Dash delivery advertising though, since they pay a good 30% and right now I been noticing a lot of local businesses advertising their own food saying "fast pick up" or "pre-orders ready for pickup" and wanting to also inform customers that Uber and Doordash take 30% profits away from the restaurant to get folks to pick up their order to support local businesses)
Also, you could also give some extra postcards to your local apartment communities monthly to put in their "move-in" packets. this is something businesses have been doing for years also b/c I been in property management working at apartment communities stuffing these fliers into each Move-In Packet.
yes!!
Another banger! Appreciate you Jake. Keep’m come’n!
thank you brother
I have just recently and graciously come across your channel and the world of EDDM thanks to the algorithm Gods of RUclips!!! I am in Western Australia 🇦🇺 and love this idea! Looking into costings etc here for the postcards as USA just does things so much cheaper.. lowest quote I have received is 0.21 cents per card, which takes a huge chunk of the profits. Hoping to find a cheaper option and get going on this. Thank you for such an awesome and inspiring channel!!!
hi!! my good friend is from Perth (little town called Geraldton).
Thanks for answering the questions! I found one of your other videos about how the EDDM works shortly after so I'm 100% on board.
nice!!!
Hi Jake,
What is the cost for the community
Card per piece?
Do you typically send 3-5,000
Out?
Thank you!👍👍👍👍
I own a small digital marketing agency and man this would be great to start doing.
Got 2 questions:
1. Are you running the same businesses every single month?
2. Let’s say I start out with one run a month, the next month are you just targeting new neighborhoods if everybody stays with you or how does the routing work when you’re using the EDDm?
I’ll have more I’m sure 😊
Perfect timing is an understatement. I just cut back hours from my job to invest in myself. You’ll be seeing an email from me soon
best thing you'll ever do!
Thanks for giving out information I just started now will see how it goes will update you in the future I’m from Toronto Ontario
not "too" far from me! i'm excited for you.
Hi Jake!
Really informative video!
This was the best one yet!
Hey,
Can you do a video on,
Community postcards,
New Movers,

Maybe the costs and numbers, etc?
THANK YOU!!!
thank you!!! yes!!
Great!
I appreciate it!
Awesome , wow where would I get a mailing lists 😊😊

This is pure gold! Appreciate it immensely, I believe I can pull off Christmas for my kids! I've already worked up a list(Emails and Phone Numbers), I begin emailing today.
I do have a question, once I have this design complete and I ask you to verify it... 😁😁
How long will it take to receive the package and get it to the post office and out to Every Door!? I think this would be called Turn Around Time?
Another question, I'm doing the 10K and USPS says 5k per day without the business setup and form, I would imagine I just drop of 5k one day and 5K the next day?
thank you thank you!!!! really excited for you. yeah absolutely. turnaround time is 3-4 business days for us to print and then depends if you're doing the fulfillment or us. but just add a few more business days either way and you're good. so about a week.
How do I know how to design for each business? Do I get the design from them or do I make my own? What information do I collect from the business owner?
up to you, canva you acan make them in a templated format or you can hire cheap overseas designers. canva's the way to go though.
Hello boss. How do you do to know what to put in each space for particular business and how to get images. Thanks for your answers in advance.
I’m in canada and local delivery companies are very rare here.
hey! you can use canada post equivalent to our EDDM - other canadians use it no problem! for ads, you can outsource the design if needed it might be easier for you.
Mind Blown. Just found you. I had a marketing and graphic design biz years ago. HOW do you manage the design review process, edits, approval process, etc.? I can imagine that taking up a lot of time.
it's funny becuase that stuff is actually the part that takes the most time - just getting approvals. Really it's just a matter of being organized and quick and getting in contact with your advertisers so no ones waiting. CRM's help, free pipedrive.com plan is pretty good for it.
I love your channel and have learned so much about postcards! Only problem with EDDM is it's a waste for B2B because the majority of the stops on routes are residential. Unless you're in a metro area.
hey Jordan thank you that means a lot! EDDM is rough for B2B you're right about that. I need to do more videos on B2B for sure!
@ I’m currently doing marketing for my father-in-laws business (local b2b). Once I have enough data I’m planning on making a video to showcase the results. Spoiler!!! Postcards are one of the key parts
Thank you so much for this idea. I’m definitely gonna do this. Curious though how do you prove to the business owners that these were sent? Do you just take a photo and send it to them and say look I’ve got a stack of 10,000 prints or maybe a receipt from the post office or something?
Yup yup!! exactly. plus offer them to call the post office and confirm if they'd like too.
I'm just starting out on my 9x12 journey. I'm excited to get started, but I have a question. How do I get the email addresses of local businesses?
So excited to start this.
i'm excited for you!
So quick question, you mentioned in a previous video to go to other business owners as a small business owner myself. Does this have to be a seperate business or can i label this as part of my profit in my small business or does this need to be a seperate business that earns money? You mentioned you did this, how did you go about it?
FYI - Imagine doing this with nothing but restaurants / eateries / bakeries / donut places etc......who simply are tired of 30% of their profits going to Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc. These small Mom & Pop business are the ones at risk for struggling, so although they may not have a lot of money, they should understand this concept of needing the help to push local business.
yes yes yes!

I work for a printing company that did this 10 years ago. The hardest part is filling the spots. If you already have a decent list of potential clients it may work very well for you
I'm sorry if this was answered this before. Lets say I put this whole thing together and get it out a postcard. Do I just put out the same card every month with the same company? I understand changing it up for the season but for the most part are these businesses going to want me to ship out postcards pretty close to the same card every month to the same EDDM routes? Should I change up the routes slightly?
not all will want to do it again but many will (50% is a good kind of "standard" recurring number). just mail to the same area or if you feel there's a strong need to switch out some routes go for it.
I am halfway through this video so maybe this will be asked, but I noticed that in my market, I can do one ZIP code and hit the 10,000 mark. Should I consider doing more than 10,000? Will businesses want a larger reach? Does it become more difficult if I hit more ZIP codes?
If you have enough, you can rotate areas within one zip code. Example: Jan (north side), Feb (south side) or… just go big and do two 10k’s and cover the entire zip! 😉
@Just_Samson Thanks.
You say 5,000 to 10,000 mailers. I would assume that you would get a higher advertising rate the further the reach at 10K. Wouldn't these figures be different and what would be the adjustment between 5 and 10k mailboxes?
5k is sometimes easier for people to sell who aren't comfortable asking $500+ per space. It's a lower price to ask for ($350 or so)
Good Job! Go ahead Brother
thank you Aminur!
Getting my first mailer together and Jake and his team have been very responsive to my questions via email. -Juan
Those flyers look Great!
Can you do an EEDM mailing with them?
What is the rough cost of the flyers?
Those Flyers look like they could be a goldmine!!!
I have this idea of targeting 1 town at a time,
and keeping the cost of ads to $199.
Any small biz can afford $199 to get ,
let's say 3,000 pieces delivered.
Would that cover your costs to produce and mail? What do you estimate in profit
He mentions to do a minimum of 5k to get the best results for the businesses.
Its $1115 just for postage to send 5k at the .223 cents USPS charges.
Print cost will be about the same depending on who does it, make sure you do the math.
200x16spaces = $3200
-2.5k for expenses
approx. $700 in profit for you.
I think they can afford more that the 199 price point you mentioned, hope this helps! God Bless!
I was thinking
3000 postcards
At a total cost of $1500
Then 16 spots x $200,
Or $3200.
So a profit of
$1700.
But ,
Maybe 5000
Pieces at a cost of
$2500,
and then sell the ads
For $299 x16,
Or $4800 total.
So a $2300 profit.
I would like to keep the cost of the ads
To no more than $299.
I am going to do this
as a side biz,
and want as least sales resistance as possible.
I also would like to know
How the flyers work, and their cost?
Scott 11X14 post card how many slots can he fit on the 11x14 post cards?
I’m pretty sure Scott has 9 per side, so 18 total. I have a design that gets you to 20 😊
Okay so you say there are 16 businesses per card . So that is 8 on each side from what I can see. So are they tear aways or do the customers bring the whole card in to whoever they get the discount from? If so that seems a little inconvenient.
I am about to start selling these today!
Don't stop till you talk to 5 business owners today!
Do i layout the 16 slots on the card using canva as well. Or is there a template somewhere for that blank card thay you are showing around the 16:00 mark?
Where did you put the Indicia on your design? Can I see a better picture of yours?

Firstly, thank you so much for creating this video.
My question deals with frequency (and I apologize if you have mentioned it) How often can you publish/send out these cards? Is there a recommended number of times to have these cards direct mailed to homes?
It sounds like I can send them out as frequently as I want to (like every week, 2 weeks, every 2 months, etc) and I have the ability to change up the businesses that are advertised. For example, if I wanted to have cards sent out every 2 weeks (I don't know if this is good or not) - one week could have a business A and after 2 weeks, business B could be on there (considering exclusivity).
Am I understanding this correctly? 😅
I did not see the link in the description for the EDDM bundle.
Hey Jake, I think you said at some point in the video, that it cost $0.26ish to send out a mailer but then upwards of a $1 to actually print the mailer. I may have gotten some of this mixed up, but $1.26 * the 10,000 mailers to send out sounds like it eating up more than what you could get out of 16 spots at $600-$700. Can you explain the discreprencie in you saying there can be $5,000-$10k profit in this deal and the apparant cost in creating and sending these 10k mailers out? Am I getting something wrong here?
I know it sounds confusing when you hear so many numbers, I get it! YOUR cost will only be 22.3 cents in postage (as of 2024/early 2025) and then approximately 22 cents in postage. So about 45 or so cents per piece all-in.
I had a similar question. I was thinking that it was about .5 for shipping, and about .5 per to create each postcard, which still does not leave us with a profit, but I am going to watch it again, and try to do some research on it. If I find out something I will let you know.
@HighResponseMarketing thanks for your response. I am pleased with how quickly I got answers to my questions.
@@HighResponseMarketing I just plugged in my zip code with EDDM full service of print and mail from your website, and it came to about $0.635 per postcard (sell sheet) for the 9 x 12 with full color both sides. does that mean if I hand deliver the postcards to the post office i will save almost $0.20 per postcard?

Im very confused about the USPS calculator. If the amount they're estimating it will cost is upward of $50,000 why won't it cost me the same to do this for the 16 businesses.

Hello..... I'm a little confused on where a profit could be made? For example, if the average cost per card is $1 and you mail out 10,000 cards the total is $10K for that run. Now if the average 9x12 postcard holds 16 ad spaces costing around $600 per space. The ad revenue would be $9600. The only way to make a profit would be to charge $1,000+ per space. Maybe I'm missing something? I guess it would make more sense to do maybe 5000 postcards at $600 per ad space? -Would love some clarity. Thx.
Thank you for the question. I'll be waiting on a response as well.
that is not the average cost..youre probably looking at around 25 cents per card printed....and maybe around 1500 for the post office to ship...so your probably looking at .40-.45 for each card shipped...if you sold your spaces and grossed 9600..your profit would be closer to 5k...there are some variables...but this is about what you can expect...
@@FeenohhOk....Was a little confused because he had mentioned the cards costing about a $1 (Total Cost)
@ yeah that’s what the customer may see…so you can use that to your advantage. Because they only have to spend 5-600 bucks to get the same coverage..
So a 9x12 postcard would only cost .40 - .45 cents per card?? 5000pc Total

Images of the mailers finished and stacked up at the printer is a good start. You can also provide a receipt from USPS that you can show as proof of mailing.
I don't get why you sell different sections of the course? It's like buying a new car without wheels
because some people can only afford so much and may only be struggling with a certain part (closing for example). this way they don't have to buy information they don't need. Plus I released them over the course of months so I would make one section and release it, then the next, etc. -- and this was better than making everyone wait for the whole thing. I just checked your website, and to EDDM about 10,000 is about $7,000. So, for me to make $5,000 I would have to charge about $800 to each of the 15 businesses that pay with the 16th business free. That $800 sounds like a lot, and on your video you keep saying to charge $500, but that would only profit me $500 total. LOL
