This video was recommended (unsponsored) several months when the stock as a little over a dollar. This is what I classify as a fun stock. Buy and hold for the long term.

thanks for the follow up, I have been into POET for months now. I have a PhD in semiconductor physics, and I judge POETs technology is not a hoax, that does not mean it will be successful commercially, but I have my mind made up about POET.
Nice to hear from someone who knows what they're talking about and isn't just complaining about the sponsorship. I've been keeping a close eye on POET for months now, what exactly makes you believe their tech is legit?
@@dammitammityo 20 years ago I was a semiconductor physics researcher using theory and simulation. We consider silicon systems, silicon is indirect bandgap so not very suitable for photonics. III-V systems such as GaAs is direct bandgap and suited for photonics. The difference in lattice constants made it difficult to integrate silicon and III-V systems. Its seems POET has managed to solve this issue, and their cooperation with Foxconn and´Mitsubishi makes me confident that they will develop a commerically viable product. Foxconn and Mitsubishi have a lot credibility. The only other companies that I know of working on this is Siver Semiconductors, they are listed on the Stockholm exchange, but have plans to list on the Nasdaq. Intel are also developing Silicon Photonics. POET, Intel, and Sivers Semiconductors all have collaborated closely with universities; there are many research groups develop "silicon photonics". You and your buddy have clearly coordinated all this. since they sponsor it you can’t really be non- bias. Items you didn’t discuss in any detail: competition, last five years of losses, missed street targets, etc. instead you dove into the technology without any discussion of a true market discriminator.
Thanks for the follow up. I was a bit early in POET, but when the first sales from Celestial AI, Luxshare and Foxconn are coming this stock has no limit.

I don't understand all this hate. He literally disclosed that it was a sponsored video. Get with the times. Social media promotion is extremely effective and is now the new norm. It allows small companies such as poet to gain more exposure on their cutting-edge tech. This is the same as an article writing about a campany. Without this, you will never know what they do. 2) companies such as nvidia were also not positive when they started out - have you ever considered that r&d to create innovative tech cost alot if tjme and research? 3) poet had a recent deal with mitshubiti. The pump was not due to this video being uploaded. This ticker might even be that ticker you regret not buying. Dooo your DD!!! I swear everyone is a sheep these days.
I was a bit weary after seeing that POET was sponsoring video. However after watching the video and understanding what the company does and also advice to make it a small percentage of overall portfolio I bought shares yesterday morning. 1% of total portfolio and have seen the remarkable appreciation in two days. What happens in the future obviously is still to be seen. I like the advise of having a diversified portfolio and as a senior citizen mostly a passive investor. I enjoy these videos and look forward to more in the future.
Thanks I bought a nice chunk into POET off your video recommendation at $3.43 a sharp uptic from $3 - it sailed over $4.20 the same day - just wish I had bought more!

Could anyone knowledgeable about the industry, especially those familiar with Taiwanese companies, provide insights on the deal flow between Foxconn, TSMC, and NVIDIA?
Foxconn, a company that squeezes its gross profit, has stable production and is the designated production foundry for iPhone. For Nvidia, it is a foundry with stable mass production and low cost.

Some good info, but I think the patent angle is overplayed. Both Intel and Cisco (through their acquisition) have the ability to combine photonic circuits with electronic chips. If poet has dramatically reduced the diameter size of the back of server connector for fiber, and they have a patent for that, that’s great. Let’s talk about that opportunity. Pretending that they have a throttle hold on any semi conductor company, combining standard chip electronics with Photonics on the same chip…lacks credibility
beware POET are loosing $22m over last 12months with revenue of zero in the last quarter and only $115k in the last 12 months. With only $21m in cash they have 12 months to live or dilute shares again. They have doubled the number shares outstanding from 29m to 65.6m in the last 4 years. This feels like a pump and dump.
Maybe a little bit short sited - Look at the technology and what it can do - the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place - mark my words - POET will transform the sector that it’s in - and 66 million shares on offer is quite small
The current networking challenge is the ultra-low latency requirements of the GPU clusters. Distance limits for fiber within a building were not mentioned before GPU clusters. HPC had their limits, but those were specific cases, not the status quo.

Excellent! I am a Networker who has been using tranciever technology since thicknet AUI taps, to todays 100G+ SFP. While I fould this POET video excellent like the last. I feel like you could do a companion video to this one. Because there is always similar capability being developed somewhere by someone. Could you compare how are Intel Silicon Photonics, Broadcom, Cisco-Acacia Com, Lumentum, Coherent and Infinera are positioned against POETs comparable technology, patents and near term inovation. Is this a POET is NVIDIA in 2017, and others are Intel in 2017? Or is this more AMD and Intel in 2017 comparison?
I believe the diff is the way Poet can mass manufacture and their superior waveguide technology , they are winning business with all the biggest players
@@victorviele2862 I get those points. But, all the biggest players hedge their bets. Microsoft buys Nvidia, but also AMD and Intel chips, sometimes just to keep them in the long game. So, are these biggest players also hedging into other equivlent technologies? What if POET gets bought out by say….Qualcomm. Does something like Broadcom just give up, or find the next, next-technology. One invoation, inspires other engineers to think in totally new directions.
@@victorviele2862 Very respectfully, I am not really disagreeing. But I am asking a question about comparing similar capabilities within the actual photonics technology. Manufacture is another aspect to the larger picture. And what one company can mass manufacture, eventually others can too. So, where are Intel Silicon Photonics, Broadcom, Cisco-Acacia Com, Lumentum, Coherent and Infinera in this technical evolution? Just because Intel overall dropped the AI ball. Does not mean they dropped all the balls. And their Intel Silicon Photonics division is not anything to dismiss.

It's good to have a gut feeling and conviction. In the bigger picture, your investment is small change with a huge upside potential. Thinking same. Best of luck.
Speculative Investment: I prefer to invest in stocks that demonstrate profitability, possess a competitive edge or monopoly, and exhibit strong market sentiment. Unfortunately, POET stock does not meet these criteria.
No matter how nice it sounds, always buy stocks that started to grow revenue. Stocks without revenue will run out of cash. Unless you understand totally the potential of a companies product, I suggest you dont take such high risk now. Else Warren Buffet would be jumping over such opportunities. Stay on the safe side.
What happens to a stock if it gets bought up by a larger company? If their technology is so good, doesn't it make sense that 1 of the giant 7 will buy them?
This was great. I'd appreciate a comparison with other innovators in the market. Celestial AI is one example. Intel announced an optical networking tech as well. I'd also appreciate a better understanding of how their products compare to the newer ethernet technologies on the horizon. And for future consideration, another microcap id enjoy a deep dive on is the Glimpse group (VRAR). A comparison of their IP and expertise with Unity, along with an update on Apple Vision would be awesome. I realize thats all yesterdays news, but Glimpse has been getting a handful of government research contracts which seem interesting. Thanks for the hard work! Oh, and I have no issue with a sponsored video as long as you clearly and transparently disclose the terms. The only question I'd have on your disclosure is whether they paid for travel and lodging etc.

This is a fair video. The video highlights the risks; Only a small portion of portfolio, long term investment thesis, volatility of the stock. The cooling and power require are spot on.

@@dammitammityo cmon, that can write anyone, a 10 year old kid as well. 😁
I think all three companies will be important players in the future silicon photonics market.
@@iManiac7look at the companies that just came aboard last 3 months…..this company will be a key supplier in the AI infrastructure build using wafer level processing while everyone else does it manually
Did POET really hire people to write positive things in this comment section?! That's low, even for an AI hype company...
You and your buddy have clearly coordinated all this. since they sponsor it you can’t really be non- bias. Items you didn’t discuss in any detail: competition, last five years of losses, missed street targets, etc.
instead you dove into the technology without any discussion of a true market discriminator.
I got a few contacts after seeing this video and I'm up $210 already. Thank you brother 🙏🏾
Thanks for the follow up. I was a bit early in POET, but when the first sales from Celestial AI, Luxshare and Foxconn are coming this stock has no limit.
I have a strong bias toward this stock so I'm glad you're pumping it.
Thank you for sharing this undiscovered "jewel" of a company. I 'll make sure a get some shares of this company in my portfolio. Keep it coming, Thanks!
Can't agree with you more. I found POET 6 weeks ago and I'm stocked already. It's not going to be another nvidia, but they are well positioned within the technology sector. Interesting company to follow...😊
*I already made 350% profit!!! THANKS!*

@@nickd4104 Great analysis and point made.

Hopefully the analogies makes some sense.
