The injuries he himself personally received is a piece of shrapnel from an artillery round that skipped off his back plate, bounced off his spine, and shot out above his neck. He wasn’t able to move his head sideways for a couple months, but slowly got more movement and when I came back two weeks ago he was getting ready to go to Bakhmut which he just went to. I was able to supply him, because of all your support on this channel, a drone, a helmet that’s still coming, winter base layers and a Kevlar groin protector. He then took the rest of the stuff I brought and handed them to a unit in Bakhmut on my behalf. He’s just as he seems in the video, a down to earth humble dude. At this point he doesn’t get paid combat pay unless he’s on the front, so he has to pay for gym, apartment, food, and gas out of pocket. I’ll be interviewing different member of this team you see as well as the team leader who had a piece of shrapnel go through his liver and out his lung. Hopefully then they’ll be able to explain the difficulties they’re having, but honestly they’re just absolutely dedicated to helping the war effort they don’t often post on social media and such. Thanks for your interest, and I know this was long winded, but you guys deserve an explanation.

It's good that you've shown all the footage. The war effort is a lot more than shooting bullets. There's an uneasy feeling in every part, even when it's just walking. You'll never know where the enemies are and I reckon it's even harder with fighters who have limited training together or have different amounts of experience. Thank you for showing this, It's important to document this war. Love to Ukraine from Estonia!

Probably more by the fuze time, soviet rdg 5 and f1 grenades common in russian and ukrainian service have a 3.2-4.2 second fuze and the american m62 grenades have 5.5 second fuzes. So hearing the explosion much later then on soviet greanades was probably the main clue.

Yes, it's interesting, but there are a couple points that do seem off. Peaceful Skies.
Great work Civ! I really appreciate your videos!
WHERES THE NEXT VIDEO OMG WEVE BEEN WAITING FOR DAYS. lol. Thanks to you and your friends for documenting/releasing this sort of raw footage. All too often we get combat footage with bad music over it or other added crap, but to hear the breathing, footsteps, break in voice, weapon noises, vehicles in the distance..all that makes it real and raw. Thank you.
I mean he's back in Ukraine so he's probably put on missions, fighting or worse. Hopefully not the last one though 😬

@@RofuRofu22 I would if I could. Russia is a stain on the human race. No other country deserves destruction then Russia and China.
Amazing. These guys are absolute heroes. If I had a military education instead of a civilian education, I might have been in Ukraine in 2022 for more than just teaching English. I have a close friend who is on the frontline, I wish you guys the best.
If I had a million dollahs...
This is more professional than most of television right now. WELL DONE, MAN!
Holy shit the cameraman soloed the bmp! (I know this is war and shouldnt be joked about but as always the cameramans are gods)
Incredible footage! Props to these guys risking their lives day in, day out. Mad respect!!
These videos are so interesting to me because we always see clips such as soldiers laying in a crater in the middle of a filed looking like they've given up, just taking drone grenades to the face. I always wonder how they get into those specific situations as they have no context and although this isn't one of those videos, I love that it allows context to the situation and shows the intensity and also calm between different interactions and firefights and how the soldiers get into the positions you often seen them just before their demise. Although I sincerely hope this never happens to these soldiers.
LOVE U CIV DIV!!!!!!!!!!! amazing work, how u have the balls for war is amazing (ik this is ur mate doing this dw)
Imagine how scary would it be, that you're there and you know that every video you film could be the last one you ever make...
Just imagine going from just everyday Joe Ukrainian to clearing houses with more ppl like you with expierenced soldiers trying to keep you alive along the way, and there's folks volunteering for it. I love the videos man, keep fighting the good fight.
Respect man ,thank you for your service and best wishes from Scotland.
Posting up on that wall knowing those shots and blasts are probably killing someone is what would be nuts. These vids are amazing man, specially for people who have only trained and never actually fought… can’t wait to see the rest of the uploads to come.

Im not trying to be a pacifist, but war is hell. I am myself a Russian man, ye ye, you can start calling me a terrorist or what not, but watching or hearing people lose their loved ones on either side of the conflict breaks my heart. Stay safe, Civ, have courage when you and your comrades need it, and find the strength to spare those who deserve it. There is a real person behind each sight.
Nobody in their right mind thinks all Russians are Stalin-wannabes like Putin. Just ignorant. There are even Russian volunteers fighting for Ukraine, respect
Recovers from a spinal injury and right back out 3 months later. These are some baaaad men, much respect. I could never do this shit.

Dude ikr. Especially with the IOC, i find myself relating to these war videos a lot. Purely on the basis of communication.
Id imagine in real life people are a lot more keen on organizing themselves, compared to the game.
I am overwhelmed by the bravery of those men. They are what it means to be a superhero.
I am a teenager who supports Ukraine and plans to serve the US, and maybe another country, depending on how my life pans out. You’re taught me many things, some of which are useless facts for nerds like me, and some of which I implement on a daily basis. Being in high school, this summer when I get a job I plan to buy a tier 2 member from you for atleast 2 months for you and so I can get more from you. I’ve learned a lot. I also plan to donate to untied 24. You’re a great person and a great role model to me and many, keep it up man.

hey man, I would highly HIGHLY recommend you grow up, let your brain fully develop and finish school before even thinking about this dude. I feel you have an extremely glorified and romanticized image of war crafted in your mind, you have zero idea of the implications and meaning behind such things.
You dont sound like you know why you want to fight, you said you dont even know for what country for yet lol?? Are you engaged with global politics at all? Have you informed yourself of the US military's history and global hegemony? Do you REALLY know what their up to and why? Do you really think they are protecting their country by fighting an ocean away? Do you believe their are good guys and bad guys? Do you know WHY any of this is happening in the first place? Do you want to die over vague ideologies that the war wagers in power dont believe in or follow? You sound like a very young man being fed and manipulated with propagandized lies. I highly doubt you are truly content with adding your useless motionless corpse to the infinitely deep body count of elite pawns

Gunfire erupted right by him and this man held his corner like its no big deal
It is very interesting how the volunteers operate. Tactically, they’re way more lax than a conventional unit, but seem to have enough experience to operate effectively
Yes, it's interesting, but there are a couple points that do seem off.
(Not trying to be a keyboard warrior just giving my 2 cents of how they can improve combat effectiveness)
They should try to implement hand signals or some other form of communication other than verbal.
If there really was russian forces inside that building they gave away their position, let them know when they were about to push.
Any trained infantryman (which russia seems to have a lack of) could've used that to his advantage.
Just thinking, I like to analyze these things to further improve myself.
@@mattchew2808 you some kind of spec ops or army. Because you are sounding like a keyboard warrior, don't wanna be rude, just the "analyze these things to further improve myself" seems a bit off the mark if you aren't enlisted
@@kermit8173 You don't need to join a governmental military to be versed or aim to be versed in the tactics of combat.
But the answer to your question, I consider myself a minuteman.
@@mattchew2808ur considered a dumbass to me not no minute man
@mattchew2808 sometimes from a distance one may not be able to see hand signals. People's eyesight aren't all the same and just depending on hand movements alone could lead to a bunch of confused people.
