The way this guy explains what’s happening on the board is absolutely phenomenal. It’s like he’s telling a story about a war and how armies were thinking. I’m also really high
At low elo chess, whenever someone hangs a piece and the opponent misses it, you dont move the piece or defend it, because that would mean admmitting you hung a piece, and the opponent doenst take it because it would mean admitting that they missed it. What happens is that both players agree to continue as if the piece is defended.
The fact that the last move almost was checkmate, and it landed on the only square on the entire file that would lead to stalemate, is just fascinating. Brilliant display of how serious of a business is 200 ELO chess.

Hi Levy, I would just like to thank you. From an aspiring 400 elo chess player to now hitting 1600 elo, it’s been a crazy ride. If it wasn’t for your content I wouldn’t be here right now. So thank you
Today I had an absolutely horrible and sorrowful day but your content is so good that it lifted me up. I appreciate you very much levy. 15 year boy from India❤❤❤🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Hey GothamChess! I just watched your amazing video, and I'm truly impressed. You took a simple game played at a low level and turned it into a treasure trove of lessons. Your explanations were so easy to understand, and your passion for chess really shines through. I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge and inspiring the chess community. Your videos are fantastic, and I can't wait to see what you'll bring us next! ❤👍
About 8:35 in the video: Ne2 does do something, even if it's not a great something - it blocks the Bishop's view of d1, giving the ability to long castle without losing a piece, since Nd2 can be captured by the Knight on c4. I'm not saying it's a great move, but it does accomplish something. Great videos btw!
Thank you so much for this video but in these uncertain times it is more important than ever to have a solid understanding of how to manage your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy.
If you need advice, consider speaking with a financial advisor. Don't get me wrong, you can do it on your own, but financial advisors have a lot more knowledge and expertise in this area.
you are completely right, Advisors have information and paths that are not disclosed to the public.. I profited $560k in 2022 under the tutelage of my Fiduciary-counselor. Am I selling? Absolutely not.. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out.
Great video Gotham, really enjoyed your 100 elo smurfing video, and i was wondering if you would ever decide to play at the elo levels of 400-600? anyways thanks for being a great chess teacher

hmm yes, the 200 ELO Gambit. My favorite. People really do have good ideas, though, at all levels. It's just natural thinking, not imitation of something they thought they saw on YT. I love how they continue playing with so much confidence, oblivious of all the mistakes and near misses.

Kind of like snake vision. Some species only see prey that moves. They don’t render discovered attacks.

Every time Gotham starts narrating the kind of match we are about to see, I worry it will be one of my games.
The best part of low ELO chess is that it's utterly unpredictable drama. There will be carnage.
