Watching you build your first gaming PC was really fascinating. It's impressive how you managed to do it with no prior experience, and the end result was definitely worth the effort. As a gamer myself, I know how important it is to have a high-end gaming rig that can handle the latest games and provide a smooth and immersive experience.
I appreciate how you took the time to explain each step of the process in detail, from choosing the right components to assembling everything together. It's great to see how accessible building a PC can be, even for someone who's never done it before! :))

Immaculate build my dude! Just a few pointers for you:
    1) there's a shroud to hide your motherboard 24 pin cable. Use it! It's the metal cutout directly right next to your motherboard.
    2) you forgot the peel on the IO shield!
Lastly, personally I would use two individual 8 pin pcie cables to power my gpu, not in parallel. (Just personal preference tho)

    • @HenryHaoVo
      @HenryHaoVo  2 года назад +130

      Thank you!
      - I did try to hide the 24-pin cable behind that shroud you mentioned, but there wasn't a lot of slack on the cable so I was scared it would bend the pins in the 24-pin connector slot over time. I feel like it would be a lot better with some custom cables, maybe something for the future!
      - I did forget! I'm still really new to video production and sometimes I forget to record some important bits 😅 But I did peel it after the recording :)
      - Thanks for the tip! Maybe' I'll have to go in and change that 👍🙏

@@HenryHaoVo Be sure to use two seperate PCI-E cables from the PSU into the 3080, I have one and it pulls 320W and the max output on the single daisy chained cable is only 300W. Most GPU manuals will also tell you to use two seperate cables, my 3080 FE did.

    Congratulations,
I did the same thing twice in the last 4 years, its so fun and easy but expensive, lol .Corsair is very good stuff. And yes at some stage I can see you taking the thermal paste off and doing a smaller amount. Two things I have had happened on my game rig.1 The graphics card started to throttle and get hot after about a year so I looked at you tube and undid the heat sink and redid the thermal paste as the video showed and and it fixed it no worries. It must dry out after a while., The second thing was my 35 inch monitor would give me no signal response some times. So once again YT is my friend and it showed how to take out your ram and using a school rubber on the connections. The gold bits. That also worked. Wish you luck. Well done on the build.

Great build and you even did the ram placement correct. The only thing i can add is AMD might be sketchy for a first time builder because of the problems you might get and have to fix yourself, the other thing is the AIO, where people often forget about noise levels, and corsair is one of the louder coolers, but that might be a preference.

may be worth researching how to use the bios to make the most of the RAM speed seen as you have 3600 speed, by default (i believe it's called XMP or something like that) it runs at a much slower speed maybe even around the 2000 mark

I built my first PC during the great GPU drought of 2021. I had an issue the moment I turned on my PC for the first time.
The PC refused to boot while giving me an error code (I think it was code: 00). So I thought I had a faulty motherboard, but after getting it replaced with a new one it still didn't work.
After much deliberation, the culprit was the CPU which I still couldn't believe. The brand new Intel 10th processor was defective out-of-the-box, even though the failure rate is like 0.3% or smth.

I LOVE how all the components always come with stickers to put on your case to show off what you got under the hood. Like the hotrods at a street race with their hoods up. PC building is absolutely intimidating the first time, but by the time you're done, you realize it isn't actually that hard, and the DEEP satisfaction as it powers up is hard to beat. "I did that!" They've done a really good job over the years of making it really easy to put things together.

I know im late, but heres a few tips coming from a 14 year old...
    1. When applying thermal paste, you dont have to spread it across, its better to just put a pea sized dot in the center.
    2. Your 24 pin connector should be able to fit in that slot located next to it, I know it may be tough to fit but it should be able to slide in once you get the end through.
    3. When I build a pc, I usually start by installing the motherboard, and then the fans. It gets the boring screwing in done early so the rest is just fun. (this is based on opinion)
Honestly really impressed for a first time build, usually you see the cables everywhere and a lot of problems. Great job, you earned a subscriber.
