LOL, but seriously, when you have that strong of a bond, so much more can grow. People forget family is more than just the people you're related to. A true love starts off as a true love for a person, caring about them, and wanting the best for them, so Kiawentiio's answer wasn't necessarily wrong, it just wasn't all there was to the story, but they said it's just season 1. @hambaallah5586 you would be too if your favorite show gets mixed up with that movie A LOT. " DUDE I SAW AVATAR! IT IS MY FAVORITE THING EVER!" "Cool how was it?" It had Blue people"
I feel like their personalities here are closer to the original show then they are in the live action like sokka's actor is always there with the jokes and katara's actor is confident and taking charge while being warm and loving and aang's actor has more spirit and personality i feel like this is a direction issue because the actors clearly know the show and what the characters are supposed to bel like so they hould be given more artistic freedom to bring what they can to these characters because a lot of the show's potential is being wasted because of a false sense of maturity they think they are bringing to this show and characters so i'm really hoping for some changes in the upcoming seasons because they have the actors and ressources to make something really special here.
Hmm well Kyoshi did end up with a ability to become immortal some part of me thinks this is also related to how Aang stayed 12 for 100 years it would make sense that a part of Kyoshis skills in the avatar state is what kept him like this

And I am truly anxious for the second season to hurry up and come out! You guys are a fantastic cast. Well done. Your costumes are amazing too.
The actors for Aang and Katara gotta get ready for the invasion…
Love the way they're not just Aang stans but Korra stans, haha. Korra doesn't get enough love.

Zuko’s actor is pretty and sweet omg
9:23 When was the first Avatar incarnated?
Well, the first Avatar was Avatar Wan, and I don’t know much about how it was created, but it says about him in TLOK (The Legend of Korra)
i can see why zuko was casted here, its just him bald looked a bit strange thats all. Sokka was best casted hands-down along with Aang (pretty dificult to replicate imo).
Ye absolute, Azulas and Kataras actresses just don't meet expectations.
@@TheLinessCompanyazulas actress especially was awful she seemed like a spoilt brat nothing more
The classic Zuko haircut was never gonna make sense visually in live action, yet they had to do it because its very iconic for that part of the characters journey. Can't wait to see him grow it out as the story goes on, he has great hair in the flashbacks and these interviews XD
@@TheLinessCompanythis was filmed in 2021-22, when Katara's actress was 15, she looks alot like Katara now. They really missed the mark with Azula though, even the woman who played June looked more like Azula and she's an adult💀
Yeah why did they make katara so light in the live action lmao, I dont have a problem with it but they could've had someone who was her actual skin complexion

I just realised it's Water siblings on left and Fire siblings on right and there's Aang in between them.
This is why I dream of being an actor so I can make new friends and joke around but also do what I love 💗
I’ve got so much respect for Kataras actress actually mentioning the lore in the show
The Comics after ATLA ( as far ) : The Promise , The Quest , The Rift , Smoke and Shadow , North and South and Imbalance , Zuko and Azula's mom you can see reading the comic The Quest

I LOVE how lil Gordon has 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 Aang. referring to Aang in the first person & stuff.. I definitely feel like he’s Aang in the fire nation arc with a buzzcut lol. As the days pass, I grow more comfortable with these live-adaptation versions of my favourite characters, off my favourite anime.
Bro its 2024 and you still thinking this is a anime.🙄its cartoon.Made in america.
The Last Airbender is certainly inspired by a lot of Asian culture, only Japanese created animation is actually defined as Anime, so I’m afraid it isn’t as although rude the previous response is correct, it is American made.

I love that Gordon referenced 'The Avatarist'. That's so cool. I've been watching him for a while cuz I love the ATLA universe and will watch other people talk about forever. So seeing the actor playing Aang watching the same stuff and geeking out about it is a really cool feeling.
9:43 lol it's funny cause Dallas says "our dad" as in I'm Zuko you are Azula there's anything else 😅
That energy among them is beautiful 😊
Toph is actually the first metal bender and in legend of kora she's a superior officer who utilizes a squad of metal benders
Oh I love that Kiawentiio read the graphic novels. The Search was indeed a good read!
4:09 Bending is partly genetic, partly energy. We saw in Korra how non-benders suddenly became Airbenders after the Convergence happened
ATLA set the precedent. In ATLA, the Lion Turtle gave Aang the energybending. In Korra, we were shown that Lion Turtles gave humans the Bending powers. Bending was not always genetic, but it became genetic.
Bc Korra rules are all dumb

Best line delivering in the live action goes to... "HE RAN! greatest warrior on earth and he RAN"
They’re so funny bro I think this is my favorite cast 😂
it migh just be me but i think in the show the relationship between katara and aang is only going to be like family bc Kiawentiio said in 3:14 that in there show its like a family relationship just like in season 1
I'm really happy to hear them talk about the OG show, Legend of Korra, and all of the other expanded material! They really know their stuff and that's really awesome!
Kiawentiio is a GIGA FAN, even the comics! Thats crazy, she deserves her role! i hope she speaks up about kataras character for season 2
This cast is so likeable and charismatic, it's insane! They all have amazing chemistry as well. Every interview of them I've seen are all highly entertaining. And you can tell they all really love Avatar and are really big fans. ❤
They look just like the characters. Which is scary 😄
"WE COULD HAVE SUCKED THE AIR OUT OF ALL OF YOU GUYS' LUNGS....but we didnt because we are nice people." - LOVE THIS
Kiawentiio is DEFINITELY a huge fan of the OG
Love how Kiawentiio mentioned Aang and katara relationship being it subtle before it was season3 romance and also how she immediately threw the card back when the Zutara ship came up and she didn’t want to answer it UNTIL Dallas said something about it lol
Yeah I loved the subtle Zutara too! They both got so shy!

3:20 Gordon's reaction to getting called "family" by Katara == Aang's
I want to see Gordon's Aang get momo-zoned by Katara like he was in the cartoon.
They want old fans and new fans to be able to enjoy the live action, so that's why they're taking their time and not trying to reveal too much.
@@animalfinatic9366ouch, hope you are right. I want to hear "You are my forever baby girl" aaabd swoon 😄

I'm surprised how many Korra questions there were. But I'm not complaining!
And the cast really has great knowledge of the lore of Avatar!!! Both before and after Aang!
I think Kiawentiio is more Katara irl than in the series 😭
100%. I feel like they robbed her and gave a lot of her lines to Sokka. There were times when I was watching that I thought Ian read too much of the script and started saying her lines.
his answer to "avatar blue people " lmao
ikr, dallas even flinched 🤣🤣🤣
I know right? Gordon looks angry
Hmm well Kyoshi did end up with a ability to become immortal some part of me thinks this is also related to how Aang stayed 12 for 100 years it would make sense that a part of Kyoshis skills in the avatar state is what kept him like this
BRO!!!!!! Katara really said Korra was the first metal bender when it was Toph 😭😭😭7:40
Note: didnt realize they said avatar after. WE ALL GOOD!
Written in Chinese, Aang means "peaceful soaring." Considering that Aang was an Air Nomad and heavily believed in non-violence, his name's meaning was quite apt. Meanwhile, Katara and Sokka's names mean "wanting hope" and "I understand", respectively, in Japanese.
Is it pronounced the same in Japanese?
no its not, its pronounced kah-tah-rah and soe-kka. I don't speak chinese but the way we pronounce aang also doesnt seem like a chinese pronounciation. I've been studying japanese for like 12 years now (since I was 8) And I've never heard of the word katara used to want hope. Do you know the kanji is used for katara meaning hope? the closest I can think of is 期待 but that is kitai@@jjminn95
