Boosting fps / fixing stutters requires a series of tunings and it's specific to your hardware and usage patterns. One tweak that works for you may bring worse results to the other users. Stutters are caused by many factors such as disk buffering (which can be fixed using ram caching/ disk caching, hog processes and more. But....If you ask me how to get more fps I would say upgrade your hardware to a higher requirement of the game you wanna play, lock your gpu to performance mode and cpu to turbo mode. That way you max out your hardware to fight stutters to some extent, and using ssd is a must. And a bonus.. test on/off vsync. follow me if you hate my comment xD.

If you use off you should normally use a frame cap so your gpu doesnt max out. optimum tech has a good video showing input lag between the different settings.

G-sync should be disabled, triple buffering should be disabled as it is only for vsync, and threaded optimization should be definitly enabled as it lets you use all the cores of your cpu. I don't agree with everything he said, but increasing your shader cache does improve performance for 3D games. I've done this and I definitely see a much smoother picture. Now I don't know about unlimited but I've increased it to 10GB, driver default I think is at 4gb.
