Thank you for this! on first review of the NBME forms, should i be reading explanations of the non-correct choices if they include key potentially buzzy descriptors of diseases where I didn't make the association on my own? e.g. IM form 8 has "nerve infiltration" as meaning amyloidosis and "nerve degeneration" referring to glaucoma in question 42.
Hello Michael…thanks for this video. It has given me a good perspective on the USMLE for step one. However, how would you apply this approach for Step two presentation? To be specific, how and when should the CMS forms be revised along side the NBME’s? Thanks for your responses in advance.
Does this concept apply to CMS forms? How do I "redo" them when preparing for Step 2 when I did them for shelves? Since the answers are already there, should I just review them?
And this is scientifically proven for step 1. But how do we apply this to step 2 CK since it has the numerical value. How do we apply this using uworld for step 2, CMS forms, nbmes, free 120 and maybe usmlerx?
Just got a 83% on NMBE 6 but the score conversion says it's only 218, 5 weeks out. Is that a good score for my first assessment? Thanks so much for the great videos!
Great advices, -after finishing nbme 21 ,22 and taking screenshots of incorrect, Do you mean by studying nbme21 22 back to back, solving it again or just reading the question solved ? To memorize explanations only
Hi Dr Mike, what if i scored really badly on the first nbme i did and can't go through uw wrongs now either because i renewed it so it's from scratch? (and my exam is in 1.5months)
He said the real thing and the NBMEs are exactly the same, can any one who have taken the exam back up what he said. Just to feel comfortable. Also thank you very much for the video
Literally copy and paste questions and images on my exam! straight up. The vignettes are a little longer but not by much. The concepts on the NBME will come up on STEP guaranteed.
Make sure you know HY Arrows PDF before going into Step 1: mehlmanmedical.com/hy-arrows/
Thanks Mike. - Thanks for being generous and kind.
GREAT ADVICE MIKE !! Thanks a lot ! I’m really one month out and super confused what to do 🙌🏻super consolidated answer
Perfect, that was taking forever going between the two PDFs. Thank you!
Yes I am doing as you guide! Thanks dear🙂
Thank you I’m doing this for step 3. Did everything single nbme because you said to do it. I will let you know if I pass or not

I’ve made tons of clips on 2CK prep but I’ll make more
@@Mehlmanmedical just to consolidate, mike. Won't bug you for another one, just want to cover my grounds on step 2 prep. Doing your OBGYN pdf now btw.
@@Mehlmanmedical please Mike! An updated one for step 2, including your input about NBME 12, thanks for all you do!
What are your thoughts on NBME 1-20? Are they worth looking over or kind of a waste of time? (20-30 is sufficient?)
Just got a 83% on NMBE 6 but the score conversion says it's only 218, 5 weeks out. Is that a good score for my first assessment? Thanks so much for the great videos!
Is a decent score just focus on your weak areas
Brilliant plan. TY
does it matter if i do the NBMEs 25-30 online vs offline?
Great advices,
-after finishing nbme 21 ,22 and taking screenshots of incorrect,
Do you mean by studying nbme21 22 back to back, solving it again or just reading the question solved ? To memorize explanations only
Is this plan the same after failing step 1?
Thank you for the advice! How would we do 25-30 for the second time? Would we purchase them again online?
They’re for free all over the internet
Doing nbme back to back?? No uworld and no f.a even??
Correct
Great explanation Mike.
What about reading HY PDFs?
And what about specific weak topics?
Yes read the pdfs when you can

It’s not subjective. It’s objective. The Qs repeat.
