Time is of the essence. Parking space is a very scarce resource. No need to pass too many lines. Too much manoeuvres might cost you the loss of a rare opportunity to a parking space for another at your back or even in your front might outpace you in the parking manoeuver.
for new driver using this method, should you feel hard to determine the 3rd line aligning to parallel with your mirror, another reference point is look directly at your shoulder & ensure the lining is slightly offset from the 2nd parking spot, i.e 2nd parking spot's center & the 3rd line. make sure your shoulder is inbetween this two.
Thank you sir, Reverse & parking struggling with 😢 am going to watch this video again and again till I overcome honestly you teach well and speak clearly demonstrate everything, for me too much or too little lock get frustrated #anxiety
4:30 To make sure we are clearing the parked vehicles on both sides...first we need to check the left hand side mirror and make sure that our car clears the vehicle on our left...we shift our focus to the right hand side mirror to make sure our car also clears the vehicle on the right... What you mean by "clearing" is that when reversing using the side mirrors you should not be able to see the image of the cars on both sides of your side mirrors before the car fits into the parking space, otherwise you risk hitting the vehicles @SignalDrivingSchool ?
I did my driving test in Toowong and passed. It is not difficult has a lot of TRICKY/JOKES. The Secret is speed and lanes. When it comes to making Park, keep calm and do it in your own time and everything will be fine. DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE SHOULDERS AND INDICATORS
Excellente. Thank you for this video Sir. Keep sharing your knowledge about this and also in any situation about driving it very helpful to a learner like me.😊
Practiced this in an empty parking lot and sometimes it worked, other times was way off.. other times a bit off.. Idk what was up. You cant start the maneuver TOO close to the line or TOO far from the line. and sometimes its hard to tell if you are straight. So if I was not consistent in an EMPTY lot.. parking between cars would be risky. Sometimes people dont back all the way into the spots either. So their car might be sticking out into the driving lanes, making it trickier. Guess all I can do is practice more or just park straight instead.
Yes there are a lot of other factors to consider. How other vehicles are parked, your seating position, your speed while reversing, your steering technique, etc… Practicing more will definitely help
Very good and detailed video indeed. From 4:27 by making sure we are clearing the parked vehicles on both sides while reversing using the side mirrors once the car on the left has disappeared from the side mirror is when you start turning the steering wheel to the other side to make sure the vehicle on your right has also been cleared to avoid hitting it?!
You need to start steering from the 1st reference point. You are checking the mirror to make sure that the car is going in properly and you won’t hit anything
@@SignalDrivingSchool So my question is the word "clearing" means that when reversing using "side mirrors" if you do not see the car in the side mirror when reversing that means that you will not hit it when getting into the parking spot?!
Help 🙏 I MUST to drive north up a single lane (3m width) which has a wall on the right. All the parking spaces are on my left (= my driver’s side) are angled spots & reserved. Then there’s my designated *perpendicular* parking spot & adjoining my spot is a wide building. How do I reverse into that spot? Using your image as reference: All the parking spots before my spot are angled spots. Then my 90° spot, spot 1-3 is a building & the center roadline is a wall. My car is a 4 door Honda Accord.
Since you have the adjoining building, you can attempt a slight modification of the 45 degree reverse parking method. 1. Stay as close as possible to the parking spot on approach 2. Angle the car when you are close by turning the steering wheel full lock right (You might have to dry steer in this case because of the limited space) 5. Move forward as close to the wall as you can without hitting 6. Select reverse gear, then full lock left and reverse back. Again, it might be best to dry steer in this situation If you can't enter in one go, put the car back in drive, then full lock to the right again and move forward. Repeat step 2-5 until you can get in safely. You might have to check out our 45 degree reverse parking method video to help with this (ruclips.net/video/GrpiJkGdBP8/видео.htmlsi=L5dLFYMm2YDNGEVK) , but this should give you a head start. All the best!
Oops, I just noticed that your link does not go to 45° parking…it goes to “How to stop at a curb”. Can you please resend which of your videos you recommend.
I wouldn’t say it’s not practical because if it’s not busy, the 90 degree method is actually easier (that’s if you’ve mastered it😀). However, if the car park is busy, then 45 degree method is better as you have to block vehicles behind from stealing your parking spot hence why you tend to see people using the 45 degree method more. We just teach both as there are situations where 45 degree’s won’t work
Best reversing and detailed video I've seen. There are always idiots on our roads ,real problem when parking and they're glued to your butt. Keep the faith 😂
Easier to drive to the other parking spot behind where he reverse then move to the spot when he was parking ! Keeps the car forward! No need to reverse
I was taking notes up until I saw you driving on the right side of the car 😭🤣😅 Will these tips still be viable for cars whose driver side is on the left?
You could change the first reference point and may be go slightly passed the line. Also if you don’t turn the steering wheel to full lock immediately, you will get close to the 2nd car
Dry steering being bad is not true for modern cars. Doing so won't wreck your car or your wheels unless you are driving a total bomb. Otherwise great vid

Exactly. Other driver can steal your target parking space using this method passing 3 lines. It may result parking fights.
for new driver using this method, should you feel hard to determine the 3rd line aligning to parallel with your mirror, another reference point is look directly at your shoulder & ensure the lining is slightly offset from the 2nd parking spot, i.e 2nd parking spot's center & the 3rd line. make sure your shoulder is inbetween this two.

The passenger side, do you mean the front or the back? X
Useful
just curious , all the RUclips driving school teaching this reverse park, in real life this method is not practical 😆

Tama ka pwedeng naman Ikaw na dumiskarte tantyahan na lang ang mahalaga sanay Kang magdrive
How much does one have to turn the steering wheel?
Best lection
I was taking notes up until I saw you driving on the right side of the car 😭🤣😅 Will these tips still be viable for cars whose driver side is on the left?
Definitely
I'm a new driver too but I'd assume regardless of where the driver is inside the car, from the outside it still looks the same and turns the same?
helpful
I did what it all says here but my car turns very fast which nearly hit the second car.
You could change the first reference point and may be go slightly passed the line. Also if you don’t turn the steering wheel to full lock immediately, you will get close to the 2nd car
great
If you drive too far forward the driver behind will steal your spot...its so annoying.....
Sometimes even i u hazzard they dont care!
Impractical.

Zašto nema titlova na hrvatskom jeziku 😢??
how to get your spot stolen
❤👍🏼🇬🇧
To much talking
An instructor have to talk. If you prefer silence then go somewhere else.
Holy smokes 15 mins to explain how to park. Just park nose in, done in 3 secs. SMH
He explained it in a way that is very beneficial to new learners.
ZERO,VIDÉO
Reverse not really clear in explanation
Thanks very much
