His former wife Karla Homolka should still be in jail right along with him too IMO. They did the same vile acts and killed her own baby sister 15-year-old Tammy on Christmas Eve 1990.

But it's not about that. They aren't thinking of the victims when they are running a prison. It's about inmate security and safety for everyone.
He has gotten older, likely slower and likely has stopped getting into fights or trying to establish himself inside, whether he's in protective custody or not.
I'm not saying this as someone who isn't empathetic to the families. I myself am a victim and have someone in the Federal Penitentiary right now.
That's how they explained it to me. It's about keeping everyone safe. Staff, other inmates and also making sure the inmates needs are being met. Whether that be medical, mental health, safety or whatever else. I don't like it and it sucks. But they will be held liable if an incident occurs or worse death on their watch.
It's not fair but behind bars it's not about the victims. That's why there is the Parole Board of Canada as well as Victim support workers to help advocate for us. Unfortunately inside they have to still be treated as a human being regardless of their crimes.
There are younger guys who pose more of a security threat that need the spot in the maximum facility. His custodial status does not take away from his heinous crimes.

Why does the government waste taxpayer’s money on this guy to again take him to court so he can try and get parole. He killed 3 woman and whatever else he has done against woman, why waste anymore of our money on this guy. He got life, so leave him to rot and leave those more families alone and their ongoing suffering, enough is enough. What a waste of time.

She served 12 years for manslaughter and was released in 2005, so almost 20 years ago.
Their first known victim was her younger sister Tammy.

    •  7 дней назад +4

Many years ago, she was released in 2005 with no restrictions and no order to identify herself to schools, volunteer stuff, etc. She married her lawyer's brother and they have three children together. In 2016 she showed up at a public school in Quebec to pick up her kids and was recognized, parents/community were in shock and she was forced out of the community.

The fact that he thinks that he could have a relationship with a woman shows the GRAND NARCISISSIM in his mind. The Narcissist will think they can go to space, be a surgeon or be like father knows best. I think we should not even let him out at 100. The problem for Paul is that he traumatized society and if we had our way he would get a needle. The freedom he has outside racking leaves is a HUGE freedom.
Karla can live for him and send him photo's.

He served many years. He rehabilitated and reflected his actions. People deserve 2nd chance to get back to society especially when they're old now. This isbwhy we need prison reform to make rehabilaition better not punishment. Same for criminal justice reform.
