This video is one of our all-time favorites. 🇸🇮 It was one of those adventures where everything fell effortlessly into place- glorious weather, phenomenal views, a darling accommodation, delicious food- even all of our gear worked absolutely perfectly with no audio mishaps or over-exposed footage!!! And, because all those things magically pieced together, I feel like this is just one of those vlogs that really captures us, as travelers, as a couple, and as best friends. 🥰 Thank you for joining us at Lake Bled, and we’ll see you back here next week as we share a very summery and laid-back trip to 30A, the Florida panhandle, at Destin Beach! Get ready for all the feel-good, slow-living, summer vibes! ☀
U guys were awesome i absolutely 💯 loved this even wirh a tear in my eye 😂 to see people's faces enjoying our culture make me feel so proud of our tiny nation. God indeed did bless Slovenia 🇸🇮
Accidentally stumbled upon you two & I gotta say - this is how you make a travel vlog video. The little details, level of editing, your camera presence, all superb.
This channel was such a find now that my wife and I are planning a trip to Slovenia. You have the perfect mix of good narration and commentary with a well-informed focus on different aspects of the trip: the food, the weather, the places, the stories. Also, both of you are really talented and bring such a wholesome vibe to the videos. Well done!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Lake Bled (and Slovenia as a whole) is so high up on our bucket list. Also 13:25 😂😂😂 Looks like such an amazing trip. Can't wait to see Destin!
Thank you. You presented my country wonderfully. She is beautiful. It is really worth visiting SLOVENIA. You two are a very beautiful and charming couple .
Great piece of work. Fabulous practical insight into the venue. We're planning on visiting this summer and this video really helped put flesh on the bones. Thanks ever so much.
I loooveeed slovenia and lake bled! We went in January and weirdly we had a heat wave so it was hotter than usual (We were hoping for snow) It's so so stunning here, you've captured it so beautifully That Vila ana looked INSANE 😍 Your channel deserves sooo many more subs! You guys are awesome!
Lake Bled is magical! I was there the end of November 2018 in the snow. Everything was quiet and peaceful and magical (that word again!) But the Julian Alps weren't visible. Lake Bled is where the Slovenian Olympic crew teams practice and there was a restaurant in town with tables made from crew shells and Olympic medals on display. I'm looking forward to your TN home videos. I'm currently in Christchurch, NZ and rented a place for one month just to hit pause. My energy level is restored and I have rented a car, starting tomorrow, to drive around the South Island. A little nervous about driving on the left side....in winter 😂
AWESOME video guys, we just got back not too long ago from some Thailand adventures too, but hopefully the wife and I can visit Slovenia one day soon! 🙂
it would be nice, if you add more information on how to get from point A to point B, where the best place to book a hotel & excursions, what transportations should we take, tips arrival on any airport, where to get Wi-Fi. and that might help us to explore the places. (all vlogs)
Outstanding video. Can u talk about that view point hike more? Is it marked well? How long did it take? Love to get that picture but afraid of getting lost
12:56 Unfortunately, you two encountered weather that is not typical in Slovenia during the summer. Summers are usually sunny and dry. However, this year we had the most rainy and catastrophic summer in the last 40 years
This has been a treat...your time in Slovenia. What an absolutely lovely country. Never had it on our list to visit and that is our mistake. As a Balkin country, Slovenia has a unique, interesting history after ww2...it was 'Yugoslavia' under Tito as a cushion against power grabs from Stalin. I always think of rain as a sweet cleansing...kinda like baptismal renewal...at least in our travels so I don't blow my cool.😉 Enjoy forward wonders!
This is the most misguided thinking that Slovenia is a Balkan country because after the collapse of Austria-Hungary, Slovenia was assigned to Yugoslavia. Before that, it was part of the Holy Roman Empire for 1000 years, which other nations of former Yugoslavia were not. Slovenia is not a Balkan country either genetically or culturally. Slovenia has gone through all phases of Western European culture such as the Roman Empire, Gothic, Renaissance, Protestant Reformation, Enlightenment, Industrial Revolution and unfortunately also communism in the past century. It is a completely Alpine nation like Austrian or Bavarian, only it had this unfortunate Balkan occupation from 1918 to 1991. ruclips.net/video/rrO4jHGkxFs/видео.html
@@ahorn2407I think you should repeat primary school, because you talk nonsense, you don't even know that part of Slovenia is in the Balkans, that not only Slovenia was in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, but also Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the northern part of today's Serbia, called Vojvodina. Slovenia was never handed over or occupied from the Balkans, but the Slovenian nation entered the kingdom of SHS - Yugoslavia on its own initiative precisely to free itself from the Austrian and Italian yoke. Slovenes are genetically Slavs and much closer to the Balkan nations than to any other, but by no means to Germans. The only correct thing you wrote is that due to the great influence of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Slovenians are culturally closer to Western culture, but this also applies to the greater part of the Western Balkans. Due to its geographical location, especially the Alps, Slovenia is culturally closer to its former masters, but Slovenes were mostly a simple, poor peasant nation, servants who yearned for freedom and liberation from the Austrian and Italian yoke, as I have already mentioned and this is proved by the Slovenian literary works from Trubar to Prešeren and Cankar and others.
thank you for this video, there aren't that many videos on Slovenia so this was helpful! I was wondering how did you get to Slovenia? Reading up on it, it seems like driving into Slovenia from a neighboring country would be the easiest way to go about it, but I was wondering how you guys did it. Thanks!
Flying to Venice, Vienna or Zagreb and then driving to slovenia would probably be your best choice, but if you want to you can also fly to any other european country (germany or france) and then fly from there to slovenia, the main airport in slovenia is really close to the capital, but driving from either of those other airports won't take long either
that's a nice part of Slovenia but crazy expensive compared to the rest of the country... in fact I was shocked at how much hotels in that area cost in the good season.

Your hair is so beautiful, Claire. You and Chad are my favorite YTers. I feel so calm and happy when I visit your channel. Best wishes always.
We're so glad! We hope to bring peace wherever we and inspire others to see the joy in the seemingly "mundane".

Was born there. Thanx for representation Just wondering why you didn't go to Bohin and waterfall Savica. Thanx
You were unlucky with the weather, the amount of rain this May was quite unusual! Glad you've enjoyed your time here anyway 😊
Luckily, it was very pretty in its own way! But yeah that's what our host was saying as well!

It's well market and you can't miss it. The path will guide you all the way up. Depending on your pace, but it takes 1-1.5h on average.

Good way to think about rain! Slovenia certainly has a long history. Thanks for sharing a small piece of it with us!

Hello Claire and Chad, may I ask what train to get from Slovenia to Vienna Austria and if it’s a non stop, and vice versa, thank you so much….
I might be too late with the answer, but direct line from Vienna to Ljubljana just opened about a week ago.
What camera are you using to make this type of film.
