I really like the low tech Chinese renovation videos. This one was special because of the adorable grandparents and it also showed bloopers like falling off ladders, carrying sticks breaking and so forth. It gives a human quality to the renovation process. I only which the grandparents' comments had been translated. The family relationship seemed so warm and humorous. Very enjoyable video.
That was wonderful! Those good old folks needed some improvements. I'm sure they worked hard their whole lives. They deserve to have a decent bed and a nice kitchen. Bless this family!

Every reno video i watch, they never wear eye goggles... even when drilling, polishing... please remind all to wear goggles to protect their eyes. In this video.. he did not even wear gloves... thats why cuts n splinters happen. Please wear eye goggles n gloves besides masks. Great job.

OSHA only started in 1971 and is just 53 years old, and other countries have their own agencies and regulations for occupational safety and health that may not be as strict as OSHA. The rest of the thousands of years of man's history, they built using experience, training, skill and common sense as safety.
In Asian countries, mostly they work with bare hands and they don't follow all these procedures as you mentioned.
