No burglar bars, no safety gates, no alarms, sleeping with open gates...until a gang started targeting us, average 4 houses per night, even if you were inside you would wake up with them around your bed. After we all installed burglar bars, safety gates, alarms with armed response they still came in by shattering a non opening window with a spark plug. This only stopped when we started our own night patrol, and then 80% moved out of the complex. There is no such thing as a safe complex in South Africa

    Stop confusing Justice system with Justice or Truth or fairness. Its just a system often haphazardly administered. Sometimes innocent people go to jail, other times guilty people are set free, or never get charged in the first place. Its not uncommon for innocent people to plead guilty to avoid legal costs & stress especially if they cannot afford lawyers (so prosecutors intentionally draw out the proceedings). Oscar by staying home has to pay for his own lodging, the state saves about $200,000 (in the USA) per prisoner.

      @@davidg3944 Two witnesses, who lived closer to him (next door) than the witness claiming they heard a woman's scream, both testified it was a man they heard scream. The witness who claimed they heard a woman scream, lived almost 600feet away. An acoustics expert at the trial testified that a woman's scream from inside the locked toilet, could not be heard 600 feet away. They also testified that a hysterical man's scream and a woman's scream, are indistinguishable. Know the facts of the case before you make such childish comments.

    The most ridiculous story I ever herd, what would YOU do if you thought some one was in your bath room in the middle of the night ? I would go get my loved ones and exit as fast as possible, not go get my gun and fire into a closed door bathroom hoping to hit something, or maybe just leave and call the cops , ect...Common sense folks. I love moose, and I have a head of one mounted on my wall ?

      I think the answer would be 'No' to both questions. I don't think people outside of SA understand the thousands of horrendous crimes which take place on a daily basis in South Africa.

    • @velvetmagnetta3074
      @velvetmagnetta3074 11 месяцев назад +1

      It depends, right? If you live in South Africa or even the United States, your first reaction very well may be to go get your gun.
      I don't know anything about this case, but from the facts laid out here in this short video, if indeed Pistorious thought there was an intruder (big "if" there), then yes, he may have reasonably gone to grab his gun first since, from what it sounds like, he is missing his lower limbs and may have doubted his own ability to fight off an intruder.
      Why he didn't say fist, "Honey, is that you?" before firing, I do not know, but maybe she was out that night and he didn't expect her. Or maybe he assumed she was sleeping in a different room. I imagine he was asked that queetion by police and/or prosecutors.
      But what I can tell you is that we have a lot of guns here in the US, ptobably about 1/3rd to half our population owns at least 1, and we have many very tragic incidents occur involving the shooting of the self or another, many including children getting a hold of improperly secured firearms.
      If this guy was prosecuted in the US or SA, him grabbing his gun first may not have stood out as odd a behavior as it does seem to be in the UK.

So what are you defending ? you want a retrial ?You have no argument what so ever.shooting threw a closed door is like shooting in a crowd and you should not be able to touch a gun with that stupidity period.@@priscillazietsman1300
