This is one of the most efficient educational videos on RUclips. Afer learning physics in school and university (not my main subject) I had to turn 40 to finally understand precession.
no, its just that this is a much more fun version of learning and that he actually does a better job than that of most teachers by teaching you something that would be taught in 2 days
well if reliably accurate answers are what youre looking for, severely altering the sober mind would definitely not be a good way to get them. side note, theres nothing mystical or grandiose about drugs, the human brain is already capable of simulating an incredibly complex perception of reality on its own, drugs are just chemicals that alter the process of "information integration" in the brain which evolved to reckon the world as it truly is as accurately as it could have given the nature of the brain and evolution. there is nothing existentially true to learn from hallucinogenic experiences.
matthew rass it simply alters your brain chemistry, it physically decreases your brains ability to accurately construct an image of the world as it really is, it does not enlighten you to truth it will deceive you. it can be very fun however.
I never understood why gyroscopes don't fall over, even though I've watched quite a few videos on it, but Michael explained it in a simple non-confusing way so I understand it now! Good job Michael.
No need to hate yourself. At least you can admit you don't understand it. There are people who don't like what they don't understand so they reject it and join others in trying to stuff those things in a closet. Anyone can understand basic physics. It's more work for some, but there are plenty of people willing to help them learn it too.
well think about a black hole it has so much gravity that nothing will be able to move it even if there was a small one on earth it wouldn't fall due to earths gravity earths gravity is to weak to move it
Exer Gamer you know other than the fact the it was slowly consume the earth and eventually consume the moon etc until it either stops or nothing is near it to exert enough force to move it
I have a doctorate degree in the sciences (not physics) and I still struggle to understand these concepts. What keeps me coming back to Vsauce over and over is Michael’s ability to inspire me to keep trying to understand. Thanks Vsauce. You have enriched my life.
tbh it's funny how slow physics are taught in school, if you study at a university you'll learn that stuff within 1,5 hours, alongside all mathematical background and formulas xD
I saw a kid on a plane with a gyro just like this and I asked him where he got it. It was from the Boeing gift shop in Washington state and I lived like 20 minutes away from the place. My dad took me there to get one, but it was a really nice one and cost 100$ so I had to wait until my birthday. I never had such a hard time waiting for my birthday before, or since then. I absolutely loved that thing and it probably is what really planted the seed of my fascination with science. That seed grew into a lifelong passion for the STEM fields, particularly those of math and nuclear physics.
I am studying mechanical engineering, It's my first time to understand Coriolis ever thanks alot man, I appreciate your magnificent skills of delivering information ❤️

So true xD
Why can't this become a meme? xD
that moment you realize you learn more on the internet than on school itself
Sgt.Nuclear pay more attention in school
that's because you're a shit student
all of this is found and taught in elementary and high school physics classes
no, its just that this is a much more fun version of learning
and that he actually does a better job than that of most teachers
by teaching you something that would be taught in 2 days
eh, he may not mean just this video alone, though it is true that you can learn far more through the internet than you ever can in school
Sgt.Nuclear usa is actually the 24th smartest country
(Mostly because of summer break)
That wheel tire demonstration will never not be awesome
I wanted to learn Gyro's spin with steel balls. Worth it!
Vsauce Zeppeli
Jojo fans are always everywhere
Imagine what questions Vsauce could answer while on a LSD trip...
Kek, what, you think he's sober when he makes these?
well if reliably accurate answers are what youre looking for, severely altering the sober mind would definitely not be a good way to get them. side note, theres nothing mystical or grandiose about drugs, the human brain is already capable of simulating an incredibly complex perception of reality on its own, drugs are just chemicals that alter the process of "information integration" in the brain which evolved to reckon the world as it truly is as accurately as it could have given the nature of the brain and evolution. there is nothing existentially true to learn from hallucinogenic experiences.
Omg I feel u, opens ur true inner thoughts to reality vsause would reveal his own questions in his head
matthew rass it simply alters your brain chemistry, it physically decreases your brains ability to accurately construct an image of the world as it really is, it does not enlighten you to truth it will deceive you. it can be very fun however.
Most likely he would ask every question.
Would be a sick new design for a beyblade.

VSauce before Mind Field: "DO YOU WANT MY HEAD DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR IN A BOX?"
I never understood why gyroscopes don't fall over, even though I've watched quite a few videos on it, but Michael explained it in a simple non-confusing way so I understand it now! Good job Michael.
Same XD

His comment was actually a reference to FilthyFrankTv's "Human Cake" video.
when you pretend you understand the video so you don't hate yourself
if it only was that easy
Mr. Happy halfway through I still get everything, let's hope I can keep it up
No need to hate yourself. At least you can admit you don't understand it. There are people who don't like what they don't understand so they reject it and join others in trying to stuff those things in a closet.
Anyone can understand basic physics. It's more work for some, but there are plenty of people willing to help them learn it too.
joedanero help me mate. Why does it have to be 90 degrees ahead, not 180?
I understand the video
What an astounding communicator Michael is.
Did someone else thought that he could cure his baldness with his arm hair?

I like to spin the gyroscope and put it in my belly button.
I wish i had a gyroscope to try that now

@Alon Amante Timbancaya i agree
I have a question
Is absolute 0 speed possible in the universe
I mean like an object is not moving absolutely at all.
Like so he sees
OLD-BIT Gaming
Interesting question...
well think about a black hole it has so much gravity that nothing will be able to move it even if there was a small one on earth it wouldn't fall due to earths gravity earths gravity is to weak to move it
Exer Gamer you know other than the fact the it was slowly consume the earth and eventually consume the moon etc until it either stops or nothing is near it to exert enough force to move it
Exer Gamer I mean absolutely no movement and if there was something on there, it would be orbiting it which means the main rule is cancelled.
I have a doctorate degree in the sciences (not physics) and I still struggle to understand these concepts. What keeps me coming back to Vsauce over and over is Michael’s ability to inspire me to keep trying to understand. Thanks Vsauce. You have enriched my life.

Whaassaaaaaap?😅
damn i just learned 3 months of physics class in 1 vid
tbh it's funny how slow physics are taught in school, if you study at a university you'll learn that stuff within 1,5 hours, alongside all mathematical background and formulas xD

Best Disc Golf explanation of disc "stability" ratings/attitude, ever! When thrown, the disc should be relatively flat, if the leading edge is higher, air hit the bottom front more, disc leans = overstable disc. And, visa versa.
